Sebastian, Toma and the team did a really great job on our loft conversion. Friendly, professional, and great communication from the beginning. We had the rest of the house all zipped up expecting a mountain of dust but were amazed as the old roof just disappeared without a trace and the new structure popped up in a couple of weeks. The team were always very clear on costs and were great at working with us to change specific things like cladding and windows from the standard spec. Would recommend.

We got quotes from5 different companies before deciding on Simply Easy Refurbs this was mainly due to Sebastians slick presentation and his confidence he could do a good job for us. His quote was certainly not the cheapest but we also wanted a new roof as well and we wanted to give the job to someone who would use quality materials .
There were some hurdles to get over but we managed to work through them with Sebastians cooperation.
Our building team were from Ukraine and Lithuania and at times the language barrier was difficult for us and them . The planning at times was stilted and we had many discussions to ensure it was correct.
You should look carefully at your drawings because we had issues with stairs location, windows locations etc….but thanks to the structural team managers assistance we worked it out.
We also noticed they were going to put our bathroom where the walk in wardrobe was supposed to be , but that was reverted quickly after we pointed it out.
Our project manager was frequently on hand to oversee issues and answer questions. He was under pressure most days but worked hard so get everything sorted .
We were impressed with the sheer hard work by the builders and their prompt arrival for work and ability to work on weekends when we wanted it. They were all polite and efficient. The electricians , plasterer and carpenters were lovely to have around as I was a working from home on most days .They we’re always considerate .
We were conscious and sensitive that many of the builders had family in Ukraine under stress and in danger.This made their work out out even more impressive.
We have had numerous comments of appreciation from neighbours and are looking forward to moving up there once we finish the flooring .

We chose Simply Refurbs as they gave us the best quote and were most helpful when it came to designing our loft conversion and what we needed. Throughout the build communications was great and the whole thing was completed to schedule and there were no major hidden costs. It was a great experience overall and I would use them again.

Building a loft conversion is a daunting process, especially if you’re novices in your first proper house like we were. But I’m so glad we chose SimplyEasy Refurbs.

Firstly the price: one of our fears was that once the build began began the price would start to creep up. In fairness to SimplyEasy Refurbs that only happened when we added items to the plans. They kept their prices to their original quote throughout.

Secondly the quality of workmanship was absolutely first class. The guys they have on site were hard-working, really good characters who got with the job. If there were any issues they fixed them immediately. From the main build to the roofing, the plastering, the electricals and the plumbing they were brilliant.

There were some delays during the process and one or two disagreements but that wasn’t all down to them and it’s to be expected during a build as big as ours. The fact is that they got the job done, to a very high standard, to the budget they said.

Simply Easy Refurbs have recently completed a loft conversion in our home in SE London and we are over the moon with the results. From the planning stages to execution, we were given excellent advice on what our loft could accommodate along with optional extras that may benefit the project further down the line. At no point did we feel pressured or obligated to follow advice, however we trusted our builders, Minde and Stas, and have ended up with two light, bright double bedrooms and a great shower room that maximised space, without compromising the first-floor layout of our home. The project has been finished to the highest standard, but equally important to us was the supportive customer service calls from Emma, and total transparency throughout the project, from Sebastian’s initial quote right through to completion. We were nervous undertaking the build in the current climate, however this well-connected company ensured our project ran smoothly from start to finish. We felt valued as customers, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for building projects and aim to have them back for phase 2 of our home build in the near future. We have given 5 stars for two reasons and that is Sebastian and Dovidas! Sebastian and Emma are there to help with any issues and keen to ensure you have a good product, clear communication and are satisfied. We unfortunately had some issues with our fittings and some communication with our project manager and Sebastian came over, assessed the problem and mediated to a satisfactory outcome between us and the building team.
The work by Dovidas is really high quality (as confirmed by the building inspector). Our loft was initially finished in record time (10 weeks!) in the current climate and snags/corrections taking another 4 weeks.
Getting work in the house is complex and Sebastian is there to help or point you in the right direction. Anybody taking on a project be warned there are always more costs than you initially think but we were clear on most of the extras we needed to budget for.
We would recommend Sebastian and simply easy Refurbs again mainly because of how they sorted the issues we were having. It’s inevitable there will be some issues with any building work but it’s invaluable to have somebody who is happy to be contacted and is incredibly fair, reasonable and work proud.

When I had a loft conversion I knew that part of the pain is knowing you will be sharing your house for the next few months. I need not have worried. These guys are quiet, tidy and work without fuss. Their work has been so wonderful with no surprises. Now it’s over, I miss them! It’s been a pleasure.

Very pleased with my new loft conversion which added space and value to my property. Sebastian, Minde, Lile and the rest of the team were always available throughout the project to give guidance and make sure that any issue would be promptly rectified. My loft conversion was a bit more complex than usual due to significant alterations being required to the lower floors and took slightly longer than originally planned. However, all was eventually completed to my satisfaction and disruption was kept to the minimum. I would definitely recommend this company.

I am very pleased with the service from start to finish. Everyone involved in the project were polite and professional. A great big thank you to Sebastian for helping me to resolve party wall agreement with my neighbour. Sebastian went the extra mile to talk to my neighbour as well as recommending me a surveyor. Any issues or questions were dealt quickly via Watsapp group chat and the group chat improved communications. Along with the weekly meeting I received regular phone calls from the team to ensure that I am happy with the service. There was a slight confusion with the time scale of the project but the project manager Minde was very understanding of my situation and worked really hard to complete the project as soon as possible. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have their loft conversion done.

Simply easy refurbs have completed a large one bedroom with en-suite bathroom, dormer loft conversion in our property.
Right from the beginning I felt like it was all in control, the builders were hard working and polite, and the same can be said for the 2nd stage guys, always conscientious. We are extremely happy with end result and have had positive comments on the finish from anyone that has been to see it! Highly recommend.

Delighted with the outcome of my new loft extension which has exceeded expectations. Sebastian, Minde, Toma and Lile were all super helpful and communicative throughout the project and were at the end of a WhatsApp if there were any queries or concerns. From the plumber to the carpenter, the tiler to the electrician, all the work was carried out to a super high specification. The project took a few weeks longer than estimated but considering the build happened during Covid, I think that’s more than understandable. Aside from that, there were a couple of small teething issues and the occasional breakdown in communication (arguably par for the course with a project of this scale). Nevertheless I would heartily recommend these guys. Undertaking a loft conversion is a big decision and a huge leap of faith and vision. But with Simply Easy Refurbs, your are in safe and super experienced hands.

We chose Simply Easy Refurbs because we were impressed with other projects we saw through Sebastian's help, and we saw them whilst the construction was still going on and had the chance to talk to the owners of the houses being converted. We were pleased with the quality of work, and very pleased with the outcome, the conversion has added a lot to the house. They were flexible as we made a few changes to the design when we saw how it looked in the loft, and we also wanted to make our own choices on the windows and bathroom material etc. Would recommend.

We recently completed a loft conversion through Simply Easy and have a wonderful new loft which we are very pleased with. I will point out a few points worth noting and then explain my 5 star rating. Make no mistake, Sebastian’s pitch is very polished. He knows what he is doing, comes with a shiny iPad and the overall sell is very appealing and credible. What we hadn’t fully appreciated was that we were not contracting with Simply Easy themselves but with one of Sebastian’s subcontracting firms. That wasn’t made entirely clear to us at the outset. The consequence is that we ultimately had no legal recourse to Sebastian if the project ran into difficulty beyond the value of his word. We were also assured of a 3 week start time but in reality work started after approx. 8 weeks. The firm which did the work was very highly rated in its own right however and we would not have found them other than through Sebastian’s extensive network. During the build, Sebastian was not present in person but played what I would refer to as an “escalation role”. When we needed him to step in, he did and he appeared to have sufficient clout with the building firm as to be able to overrule where necessary, no quibble. He was easy to contact and efficient at solving problems. The builders themselves were pleasant (beware some teams, albeit very polite, speak zero English). Our project manager himself was a little “negative Nancy” for my wife’s taste but I was less concerned and, with the escalation point offered through Sebastian, it wasn’t a material issue. The loft prices are very much a no-frills spec. and at times we were surprised by the seeming “costs more” approach to minor adjustments but again, it didn’t amount to any more than the 10% any prudent homeowner would set aside for a project like this. My wife also has very high end and particular taste. The above may sound negative but I thought I’d try and be really candid and in so doing offer the most credible review I can. I never feel there is much value in just saying it was all brilliant - it’s a building job, that’s never the case. I am still giving Simply Easy 5 stars because of the following. You need to be aware of the market for lofts in London. Loft extensions have become a high competitive, commoditised, packaged project and if you want to pay less, you need to understand what you are buying and know how to work the system to your advantage - to me, that means finding a proposition where the compromises which unlock the lower overall cost are in the places which matter least. For us, Simply Easy delivered what we wanted: (1) we have a lovely new, well built loft, (2) we paid a very good (low) price for it (less than 50% of the expected capital increase in the property), (3) the builders were polite and neat as they could be (be realistic, they are removing your roof), (4) the reassurance provided by Sebastian’s escalation point proved comfort enough to offset any unfamiliarity with sub-contractors and language barriers and (5) overall, I just felt I got value for money. Sure the build could have started faster, taken less time and our project manager could have been a bit more positive about the work but equally, I could have paid far more. For many people, building work is a daunting process and I felt Sebastian’s presence gave a reassuring air to the project. I am speculating but I’d imagine that to get someone like Sebastian as your on-site project manager, you’d be paying top dollar for a high end firm and the bill would be at least double. The Simply Easy way just seems to work. You get a good build, at a great price over-layered by premium level support from Sebastian. I’ve done big projects before but if I did another project, I’d use him again. At good prices, there are always compromises but I think the Simply Easy package makes those in the right places and makes for a very compelling proposition. Recommended

We used Simplyeasyrefurbs for a loft conversion containing a double bedroom and new bathroom. We chose Sebastian and the team based on friend's recommendation.
Overall it was a reasonably smooth process. Communication was excellent, contractors were very pleasant to have around and very courtious.
Usual project snags and work delays were dealt with promptly and without too much stress.

Sebastian and the team at SimplyEasy Refurbs have been absolutely brilliant in building us a double storey rear extension. We are delighted with the outcome and now have a superb space which me and my family are now enjoying. We actually had the estate agent around the other day who has told us our property value has increased by £400,000 from what we paid for it just a few years ago so the building work has increased our house price also!
