Chris at Skedaddle kept us in the loop as regards our holiday preparations and gave us the opportunity to feedback our comments afterwards.
Excellent cycle touring company
Just completed my 5th trip with Saddle Skedaddle. A truly excellent experience again. From day to day support to all the excellent picnics. Communication excellent and always a rapid response to any queries. Already booked next year's adventure with them.
Cycled the Rebellion Way
The group leaders were excellent throughout guiding us through sometimes difficult terrain and making sure that we stayed safe. The pace was suitable for the group and no one was left behind. Daytime refreshments were plentiful and good quality. Hotels were of a high standard, comfortable and warm after a day in the saddle. Very enjoyable and good value.

Great route with excellent guides . Very smoothly run with regular snack stops & picnic lunches on several days . The hotels chosen were good value .
I would recommend saddle skeddadle & certainly this Sardinia route .

Cycling LEJOG.
This was my first experience of Saddle Skedaddle and it was a very, very positive one from the date of booking my 22 day guided Land's End to John O'Groats trip until the last of the 19 riding days. I found them to be a well organised and professional organisation with a proactive back office team, great tour guides, delivering a quality experience. I would have no hesitation in using Saddle Skedaddle for future cycling adventures.
Cycling Rebellion Way
This was my eighth cycling holiday with Saddle Skedaddle and yet another enjoyable experience. The guides and support were first class despite continual rain on the first two days. The accommodation was excellent, The Crown at Wells the standout: as was the choice of eateries. Next?
Way of the Roses trip
I joined the Way of the Roses trip very late. They checked accommodation arrangements and came back within 24 hours, including an option to stay in a pod rather than the hotel. What an opportunity, the hot tub was fantastic after a bike ride, despite the drizzle.
Instructions for using alternative navigation arrangements were clear. IT support was assured and reinforced at the start of the trip.
I hired a bike and used my own gel seat. The bike was in excellent condition, new tyres and brake pads. The gears worked. Very pleased. During the ride we were given technical advise on how to ride, change gear and brake going down the very steep hills. Greatly appreciated.
Accommodation varied in some places: a few checks over the season might prove useful. Places to eat accommodated a large group and menus offered variety.
Overall, a wonderful ride through outstanding scenery, the staff and planning made it even better.
Fabulous trip - Lochs and Glens 2024 Unguided
This was our third trip with Saddle Skedaddle, and it certainly did not disappoint! We cycled through the breathtaking lochs and glens, which offered stunning scenery at every turn. Although we opted for an unguided experience, the support we received was exceptional—especially when we encountered a minor issue with our e-bike battery. Thankfully, this did not delay our adventure at all.
All accommodation was wonderful as always, providing comfort after long days of cycling.
A special mention goes to Kieran, our greeter, who was just lovely and explained everything clearly moment we arrived. We had not used the app before - definitely recommend this! So much easier than trying to navigate on paper - just take a back up power supply. We did find most cafes prepared to allow us to plug our phone in between stops.
We are already looking forward to our next trip with Saddle Skedaddle! Highly recommend for anyone seeking a memorable cycling holiday.
5 day Scotland lochs and…
We did the 5 day Scotland lochs and Glens self guided tour. Everything ran smoothly. We picked up our bikes easily and our luggage was transferred everyday to the B&B we epeere staying in. All the B&Bs were nice. Would definitely use them again.
Derwent water
Had a fantastic time in the Lake District, well organised, Hannah, Ian, and Carrie were great guides, 3 days of cycling, beautiful scenery, lovely hotel, nice food, 1st time with skeddadle, will be going again
Coast to coast northern England
I enjoyed very much this trip. Before it, during registration, the persons were very attentive, ready to answer any questions. I was provided a bike in a very goo condition and efficient. Our guides were very friendly, helpful and thoughtful, giving us all relevant advice about the road. The accomodation for the night was excellent, with perfect dinners and (english) breakfasts. I recommend very much this company !
Saddle Skedadle- Way of the Roses
This was a really well organised trip.
The accommodation and evening meals were very good as was the information before and during the ride, but I would read the advice about training for the trip . The guides were very friendly helpful and knowledgeable. The stops were well organised and the problem was not to eat too much! I can really recommend this company.
Scotland hebridian way
I recently went on a weeks cycle ride to Scotland on the hebridian way.
It was a fantastic experience, once in a life time. The views were amazing, you wouldn't have thought you were in Scotland. There was 17 of us altogether including the guides Nick,Ruth and Rob.
Some of us had e bikes, the rest had their own manual bikes.
We had ferry crossings, taxi rides all of which, had been booked and organised really well. Any problems which arose, Nick,Ruth and Rob sorted them out.Nothing was to much trouble for them.
The lunches were great, something different to eat each day. Having the support van was great, we all knew if we needed support it was on hand.
It was one of our cyclists birthdays, which nobody in the group knew about. The guides did a surprise birthday cake, scones, cake, banner etc and we all sang happy birthday. It was a lovely surprise for the birthday boy, plus the rest if the group.
Most of the time it was raining, but that didn't stop us, we just rode faster to get out of the rain. One of our group likes to have a 5 minute swim each day, the guides sorted it so that they could go and have a swim when it was possible to do so.
This is my 5th ride with saddle skeddale, and I've already booked onto my next one for next year.
The only thing I would say, is if the support van could carry two different types of spare batteries, for the e bikes that would be really helpful.
Saddle Skedaddle never fails to deliver…
Saddle Skedaddle never fails to deliver an excellent service. You feel really cared for throughout your holiday. The brochure information is accurate particularly when considering the grading of a route and whether it is for you or not and what sort of bike would be best. Someone is always available to answer questions with a quick response and on the odd occasions when something goes amiss it is sorted quickly. They take your feedback on board and the accommodation is a high standard. The bike hire is good using high quality bikes in excellent working order. I cannot recommend using this company highly enough. I have used them 4 times with trips in the UK.
Saint-Malo to Nice explorer- a lot of fun
I did the Saint-Malo to Nice explorer ride and had a great time. Everything was very well organised and the guides were capable, helpful, responsive and fun, going above and beyond to sort out issues for riders.
The ride was challenging but do-able and it was a good group of people from Britain, Australia and the US. Some couples, some friends and a few people went on their own including me.
The scenery is fantastic, this is a great way to see France. There was a little time to see the occasional chateau, castle or abbey, which was also good. The GPS works well (though it is easy to overshoot turns if paying too much attention to said scenery). The picnic lunches were great. The schedule is well constructed with consideration of distance and elevation and the need for a bit of recovery here and there.
Thoroughly recommend it.
Very implicated everything was well
Fantastic trip from Porto to Lisbon.
This was the 7th time we use Skedaddle, and they were as good as ever! The folks at the office helping us arrange the trip, adding bits and pieces and extra stays, and the local representatives were all very helpful and knowledgeable.
The trip was wonderful, mostly on cucle-paths or very quiet roads, perfectly spaced hotels and good time to stop, have lunch and enjoy the scenery.
Pennine Bridle Way mtb guided holiday.
Pennine Bridle Way mtb guided holiday.
Front start to finish, all our needs were catered for.
Hotels booked were very good and accommodated the needs of storing our bikes safely and feeding our group together at mealtimes that suited our schedule.
The guides (2) for our group of 6, were knowledgeable and provided our daily snacks and lunch, which was ready for us to eat upon arrival at our designated stop.
They took turns to guide us or drive the van between our next stopover.
Overall the riding experience was highly enjoyable and I would / have recommended this company to other cycling friends.
Looking forward to booking our next skedaddle holiday.

Dordogne France Fantastic trip great organisation
This being the first guided cycle trip my wife and myself booked on I was a bit worried about how it would work out and whether it would be harder than I could comfortably manage. I shouldn't have worried the trip was fantastic. Once the trip had been confirmed, (worryingly this did take a while as Skedaddle needed to get sufficient numbers first) very complete instructions were given as to what to expect and what to take. We were also able to download the GPX file for the route. The group of 11 was an ideal size and was a good mixture with slightly more women than men. The route picked was perfect. Great scenery and no ridiculously steep climbs. The roads were mainly very quiet with only a very few unavoidable sections with fast traffic. Even the 64 mile day up Puy Mary was much easier than feared. Although the climb was long the road never went above 10% and everyone arrived at the top under their own steam. The downhill from the top was the highlight of the trip even though we did have some rain at the start. The support provided was fantastic, Alex was the cycle guide and Naomi drove the support van. With the weather being hot Naomi found a number of places during the day where she stopped so that water bottles could be replenished and snacks taken on board. When stops were slightly hidden from the road ingenuously she used flour to mark the location. The lunches provided by Naomi were a highlight of the day and she had obviously gone out of her way in order to prepare food that was varied and delicious and changed from day to day. She also made sure that she catered for those with allergies so no one missed out. When cycling, as a number of us had the routes downloaded onto our head units we could all cycle at a pace which best suited us without worrying about getting off route, stopping regularly so everyone could regroup. Alex made sure no one got lost and was on hand to deal with the single puncture we had plus a few mechanical issues which arose. I had a problem with the SRAM charger for the batteries on my wireless gears packing up and Naomi managed to find a cycle shop enroute where I could purchase a replacement. The overnight accommodation selected each day was also first rate bearing in mind that some locations had limited options. I would thoroughly recommend this trip organised by Skedaddle.

Caledonian Way August 2024
Six days of excellent cycling across Scotland from Campbeltown to Inverness including along the Great Glen. Varied terrain and wonderful view. Superbly supported by the 3 guides who were very knowledgeable about both the area and about cycling
