Kirsty, the adhd assessor, was professional, kind and supportive throughout. This was arranged through NHS Right to Choose. I cannot rate Kirsty highly enough.
Getting the forms completed and chasing the admin team to ensure all forms were in order was more of a challenge. The forms and their names are confusing and numerous. It is not possible to save a form to come back to but must be completed in one sitting. Data from a sibling was lost and had to be redone.
Can the forms not be colour coded or (if colour blind) use different symbols to differentiate? Shared Google docs is more efficient than Skylight’s current forms system.

Was a great assessor, made me feel so comfortable & offered me regular breaks if I needed. Finally a diagnosis after suffering for over 10 years and been told it was just depression. 10/10 for service. Thank you so much

Very pleased I stuck with the process - after a long wait on the NHS list I selected Skylight via the Right to Choose scheme. There was a further wait but once my appointment was scheduled everything went very smoothly. I felt put at ease by the clinician and my communications with the administrative team were handled expertly. I would wholeheartedly recommend this practice.

Honestly can’t thank them enough for their compassion and understanding. They made me feel so comfortable and made sure that I understood everything clearly and were very supportive.

My consultant was a very helpful person during this process. I felt supported and at ease from the information I recieved and the prescription I required was swiftly sorted.

If you are waiting for an assessment with Skylight Psychiatry, do not stay silent! Their administrative tracking is completely broken.

My referral was accepted and transferred to them on 30th September 2025. I followed their rules and waited patiently to hear from them about first appointments. After 27 weeks of hearing nothing, I chased them. They admitted they had been waiting on a GP file since November but didn’t think to communicate that. I sorted the file immediately. Skylight staff explicitly promised me in writing that this would NOT affect my waiting time for my first appointment. But they lied and reset my waitlist time to zero and have been ignoring my formal complaint for a month now. Today ( 33 weeks later ) they sent an automated text saying I am only "now" at the start of the list.

Don’t bother with them, it’s so bad for your mental health. The worst communication imaginable

I was very nervous about having this assessment but as soon as it started I felt at ease .I can't thank this company enough. I went nearly 2 years through NHS, but skylight only took me 4 weeks from the first contact with them. The lady who assessed me was was very professional and made me feel at ease. She was very reassuring and it I can't thank her enough. I've finally got answers ive been searching for for years. Thankyou

I was so anxious about all my assessments this week but having my assessment yesterday and actually being seen and heard of how I do have what people said I did not has made me have so much relief i would highly recommend you guys I've never felt more at ease with strangers

The webpages and forms have been very informative and useful. My referral was triaged quickly and I had an appointment with Nisheeth who was lovely and made me feel really comfortable despite the fact I was a bit nervous. I would recommend Skylight to anyone looking for a psychiatry service and am really glad I’ve gone through them for my own assessment!

Waiting 4 years for assessment so decided to go with right to choose through skylight Psychiatry. I was contacted with a form within days and was advised a couple of weeks before an appointment however it came sooner. Assessment was remote but went smoothly. I felt comftable and was put at ease when I said how nervous I was. Great experience. Report to be written within 5 weeks which is a good timescale for a report.

I was kept informed through all stages of the pre assessment. I was sent emails to confirm receipt of paperwork and then given an assessment date. The staff I spoke to where very friendly and helpful.

Talking about personal issues is not easy but Tracey helped me to feel relaxed and comfortable. I would recommend Skylight to anyone suffering from ADHD as I am.

The specialist on the video Assessment call was so nice and calming and made it so much more comfortable. She understood how anxious I was on the call and made me relax and the whole experience more enjoyable. The process has all moved pretty fast and made clear and easy to use. Very satisfied

Much quicker than i expected once all my forms were done etc, remote assesment by Debbie was nice, i felt calm and was shown a lot of compassion. Waiting now for report and then hopefully meds. I would recommend this team a lot. Very nice.

What a wonderful experience indeed! I felt completely validated by the psychologist. It was clear that he wanted to fully understand what it has been like for me living with untreated ADHD. I would 100% recommend getting in touch with skylight psychiatry. After years of feeling "not normal" or "too much" I'm now starting to feel at peace with myself. The assessment process I was dreading but Stephen made me feel so relaxed and comfortable about my little quirks. On the whole it has been so easy and not as stressful as I thought. I wish I had done it sooner. Anyone who thinks they might be ADHD I urge you to get a diagnosis, trust me it helps to accept yourself. I'm waiting for medication. I have struggled all my life with relationships and regulating my emotions. Just having a diagnosis I've already given myself a break and I'm looking forward to the new me.
