Belt didn’t last long enough to see if the clasp held up. Had a similar experience to several other reviewers where the teeth of the buckle eventually rip through the end of the belt and it comes apart at in opportune times. I trimmed it long with this in mind but have now run out of extra length. Had the first failure after about a week. Won’t replace.
The belt itself is a good idea and I have purchased two. I have had them more than a year, so when they came apart and I needed the pin that fell out of the buckle. It failed on both buckles. No parts avail. I tries a nail and a paperclip. Tie wrapped too. The nail looking brad fell out. There are two per buckle. It will not work without. A set of replacement rivets would be great, so you do not have to buy a new buckle

When I first saw them advertised it seemed like a great idea. I have several of the old style slide buckles that go for a few dollars. My daughter gave me two Slidebelts and buckles for my birthday a few years ago. At first they were fine. Then the hinge pins began to loosen and fall out and this was after little use, on both buckles. I contacted Slidebelts and asked them if I can get a few hinge pins to replace the lost ones. They said they do not have them, which implies they are manufactured elsewhere, probably offshore. Since I was past the 1 year warranty (which itself shows little confidence in their own product), they offered me a pitiful discount towards a new buckle, most likely with the same problems. I have looked at several reviews and the hinge pin is a common problem. One would think they would have spare pins available to avoid reviews as such and make their customers happy. I guess not. Well, they got my money once, never again. Save yourself the aggravation, buy somewhere else.
The belt itself is great. The buckle not so much. I purchased my original almost three years ago. The fist buckle started rattling a couple months after purchase because the release lever did not stay flush. I wore it anyways because I like the concept. Eventually the hinge pins fell out. Slidebelts offered me a discount on a new belt and buckle. I installed the new buckle on my old belt because it still looked brand new. This buckle has rattled since I took it out of the box. I don't think I will try another one.
I have used these belts for a couple years.. but only because I haven't bought a replacement. I have had to continually trim back the belt since it frays at the teeth under the buckle - I've had it come loose while walking down the street - quite embarrassing. Also, the hinge pins are not secure in the buckle. The first time one fell out and was lost the company replaced the buckle. At this point I have lost more pins and have scavenged from one buckle to the one I wear the most. I like the slide option to be fully adjustable but the buckle quality overshadows that. Going to try a competitor solution since their buckles are made differently and have fantastic reviews.
A truly outstanding experience from start to finish.
Missed the Labor Day sale ever so slightly but still got the discount. Delivery delayed on my side due to international order and a replacement product was anyway offered in the meantime at no extra cost.
But patience paid off and the most delightful belt I have ever owned. Love the faux vegan leather (I am vegetarian so that's just a bonus), elegant and highly functional buckle and no more being compromised by inch wide adjustments.
Special shout out to Michelle for her excellent service throughout the entire process a shining example of what customer support is all about.
Received my belt. Have called their office 3 times, left a voice message with my information, emailed them to their support address. It has been four days and still no contact.

They say your first impressions are always your last! I think honestly this is true with my first experience with "SlideBelts" from the first day I ordered my first belt til the day I actually received it took over a month and a week! I made several attempts to call but was immediately directed to contact them through email which always took a couple of days. With each responding reply I was ensured that my order was on the way. Yes, it is true that we were all dealing with a pandemic of historical significance however I will add during this whole process of waiting for my order my wife and myself made other purchases from various merchants not only receiving them but receiving them expeditiously! It is a shame because after all of this even though I liked my belt I don't think I could bring myself to purchases another one in the future. I don't have time nor patience to deal with them again!
I would give zero stars if I could.
Its been three weeks, no belt received. Company refuses to give money back which forces me to reverse the charges on my debit card. Updates on shipping were just lies.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY
Great idea but buckle is poorly made and simply fell apart. I now have a perfectly good belt with no way to hold it together. They are aware of the defect.
Their solution is to offer a 25% discount on another defective product. They don't realize that it costs more to get new customers than to service existing ones. I wish then luck but will if they continue to offer the same poorly made product will not be buying from them again.
Very unhappy with my $38 slide belt. After a little over a year it looks all beat up, even though I only wore it a few times to work, where I sit at a computer. The finish is peeling off and it looks awful. I have spent $10 on a belt that looks great after a dozen years. Do not buy this. The customer service folks offered a defective replacement buckle or 15% off a new expensive belt. That is not customer service- that's a rip off. Thanks. No thanks. Learned my lesson here. You don't always get what you pay for.

The belt lasted a little over a year before falling apart. The warranty is good for 12 months, so the company acknowledges it’s a disposable product. I expect a belt to last more than a year. I complained and was offered a 15% discount (widely available) or a “factory second belt.” (i.e. cosmetic defects). I don’t recommend this product.

Good concept with the belts. Only problem is the buckle separating from the belt. Have had some embarrassing situations walking into a restaurant, movie, store, etc and the belt come apart. You have to trim about 1/4 inch to remove the grooves it has made for it to stay together for a week or two. You need to improve the buckle to keep it attached to the belt. I have given out your belts as gifts and theirs is also doing the same thing. If there is a fix for this problem I would like to hear what it is
Very expensive belt that only lasted me almost 1 year
First the buckle broke they sent me another one
About 3 weeks before my 1 yr the buckle doesn't lock anymore and sewed part is coming undone
I've had other belts that have lasted me years
UNLIKE THIS ONE
I would rate their Customer Service below 1 Star!! Their shipping time is absolutely ridiculous a negative 3 Stars. I'm on my third buckle, they break and scratch easy. Their leather belt .... well the teeth just comes out so you can't ratchet..makes the bely useless. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!
Great product. I've bought it before..... but the shipping time is simply not good enough. 14 days and stll not shipped. You complain and you get the usual fob off .."it will be out in a few days". 3 times they emailed me this diatribe. Plus... do not pay for expidited shipping overseas (I'm in Australia) at US$78 It is a rought after being told it is another 2-5 weeks in postage. Use DHL or UPS like everyone else and get the parcel in 5 days from the USA. They obviously are trying to cut corners and make money out of postage at this price. Get serious.
Good idea poor design buckle broke after about 20 wears. Teeny tiny metal hinge is not durable at all
I purchased the Gunmetal and Brushed Gold belts and buckles in June of 2018. After 1 month of use the finish started to wear off on both buckles. i work at a desk and do not expose these buckles to harsh environments. The company replaced the buckles but the same thing happen to both of these.
