To be honest I found their sales technique quite pushy - they seem to attract sales through telemarketing, which for an SEO company seems like a funny way to get business - you'd think you'd rely on good SEO.

After quite a few sales calls over maybe a 6 month period I eventually signed up for their SEO starter package at $995 AUD, which is meant to be working on 8 keywords and back link building. Their advice for optimising keywords was essentially to change some of our page titles which worked to increase rankings across most of the keywords, though some lost positions and dropped pages so they get 3 stars for that.
Unfortunately they their link building was very dubious and really should be maybe 1/2 a star.

We're a sports store yet they placed our links on 3 computer websites initially and I had to request they remove those link so it didn't look like spam to google.

Unfortunately the alternatives weren't any better and included a tennis club in Mumbai that got barred by its ISP and then must have been transferred to another server, a gym website in the UK that has now disappeared, and a golfing site in the UK that has also mysteriously disappeared and is no longer live. All the links were essentially spam posts on the sites, which google doesn't rate highly and can lead to penalties.
All the sites had a lower Google Page rank (PR) than what we did so were of no benefit to us at all and I wasn't happy with any of their ideas for link building. It's probably good that the majority of the sites they used no longer exist as at least google won't penalise us for bad page links.

We are 9 months into our 12-month contract with Smart Traffic and can now really see the positive effect on our ranks. We have been receiving comprehensive sets of technical recommendations throughout the project and have done a lot of on-site work while Smart Traffic were building up the off-site efforts. Although it took a bit longer than we anticipated, our positions in search results eventually started moving up and it looks like we are set to achieve our targets by the end of month 12.

Brad, our Campaign Manager, is joy to work with. Always helpful and attentive to our needs, he regularly gets in touch to check our progress and make sure the project is on the right track.

I would recommend Smart Traffic as a company that really can deliver results.

I contacted ST for a campaign which cost a lot of money for a small, independent business. Their salesman told me i can end the campaign if i so wished if i did not feel the campaign was paying dividends.

When i rang them to say i wanted to cancel as it's not proving to be successful, i was told there is 1000s of pounds to pay if i wanted to end the contract early! No matter what i said, wrote, who i spoke to, there was no budging.

Their first reaction was to threaten with legal action as scaremongering tactics (yes, no negotiations, communications, arbitration).

In the end i ended up paying because i had to and not for any other reason. 1000s of pounds down the drain. An awful lot for a small business. Big beware.

I was, and am still aggrieved but i'm a big believer in what comes around goes around.

I selected this company as they came top in an organic search for an SEO specialist. If they can do it for themselves they can do it for me was my reasoning. After 8 months of working together they have transformed our rankings, and they continue to improve. They achieved more in 3 months that our previous so called SEO specialists could in two years. Their reporting is excellent and staff in all departments proactive and very knowledgeable. This company have helped us to see through the "smoke and mirrors" of SEO and have delivered real lasting results for us in a hugely competitive area. I believe few companies could match this.

We used Smart Traffic for a client in the fashion sector and I was pleased with the professional approach and the easy client-agency relationship. They helped build the traffic considerably over the period of a year before our client brought the role in-house with a dedicated employee. I was impressed with the detailed monthly reports and good communication. Very few complaints although account handlers were changed over a bit too often which slightly interrupted the flow on occasions. Also some account handlers were better than others.

Couldn't fault Smart Traffic, after taking our a PPC campaign with Kelly and Tom at the company we were exceptionally pleased with the results and the success of our campaign, so much so that we have had to pause the campaign as we have increased sales to the capacity of our factory. Always available, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful the team there are top class. Look forward to continuing working with the company in the future.

I have been with Smart Traffic since December 2012 and am delighted with the service and the results seen in just a few months. Within three months I had ten key words which drove traffic and subsequent orders to my site on page one.
Better still I did not start paying my monthly fee until these words (previously agreed between me and Smart Traffic) ranked on page one.

We have been working with Smart Traffic for some time now and had some excellent results in SEO.
We previously had some keywords on page one but decided to try SEO to build on our current keywords; business was going well until we unfortunately got hacked and had major problems with our website which caused our keywords to drop in Google.
Once we had upgraded our software, we worked closely with Smart Traffic to make sure our rankings got back to where they were. Unfortunately, we soon got hit by the Google Panda update which put us on the back foot yet again; Smart Traffic have done a full website investigation and have brought us within the guidelines of Google.
We are now back ranking on page one and in some cases are improving on some of our original positions.

We have used Smart Traffic for nearly two years for both our SEO and our Adwords campaign management. Up to that point we had used different companies for the two areas. We had been slipping down the natural listings from position 1 for our major keywords and our pay per click campaign was costing more and more. When I was looking for SEO I searched high and low and spoke to many companies. Most were only intent on closing the deal and full of bullshit. My original contact at Smart-Traffic prioritised my concerns and answered them, bent over backwards to both demonstrate the process and reassure my doubts. He got the business. Subsequently Smart Traffic have taken my website from worse than nowhere on Google right up to the top of the natural listings on more than a handful of search terms. I have used Smart Traffic for nearly 3 years now and would highly recommend their services. Each campaign has achieved the targets we set out at the beginning and we have been kept very well informed as to how the campaign is developing through the campaign centre, reports and regular telephone contact with our campaign manager. One of the best results of the SEO work Smart Traffic has done is that it has allowed us to reduce expenditure on other advertising as we are getting far more leads through Googles organic listings now. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services.

We are are print company who were in the top three for all our keywords when we were approached by Smart Traffic offering a better service. We were duped and spent in excess of £15,000 with them.

They provided poor link building and our site not only dropped down the rankings it wasn't found in the top 100 for any keyword and the only way you could search was if you knew our name.

In our keywords that they were working on we have less than 200 visits which works out at £75 per visit.

We tried to cancel the contract with Smart Traffic but we were told legal action would be taken. Yes they do do link building but it is not quality link building. Read the small print as it is impossible to get out of contract and it doesn't state that they will provide quality links.

We have now gone back to our old company who have been able to overturn our penalty with Google taking 11 months to do so. We are now rising up the
