Love smooth radio listen all the time especially when driving have a sing a long many a time to the great tunes I could listen to my local radio station but prefer smooth so does my daughter as she has good taste just like her man

I am an avid fan of country music and smooth country appeared to be great, I agree with the numerous other comments, that constant repeats of the same songs over and over again is beginning to bore me. There are thousands of country songs out there, I’ll lend you a few of mine if you’re willing to broadcast them, so you don’t have to pay for another cassette.

Started listening to smooth a while ago before it was inundated with adverts. Loved it and I know adverts bring in money but the Lottery one is doing my head in. Will stop listening soon and find one with less adverts if that's possible.

I am a fairly new listener to smooth vintage, and I really enjoy hearing all these old songs, but can you please change your playlist, it’s the same songs everyday

OMG, I could not believe the amount of negatives about Smooth Radio!! But the comments are sooooo RIGHT!! Nothing but adverts every 5 mins and I have to turn the radio off, does Smooth read the comments? if not they should!!
TURN THE ADVERTS OFF and find presenters who know about delivering a radio station, my pet hate for adverts is that bloody annoying "we buy any car" I cannot stand that advert, then we have the bloody annoying Octopus Energy voted 6 years on the trot! Really!! TURN IT ALL OFF.. I am now looking to listen to another station as I really cannot stand Smooth any more, there is nothing Smooth about this station at all, I had listened to smooth when it first started in 2004! just goes to show how long I have been listening! now that I am retired and have the radio on every day, I am changing stations as I have now finally had enough of this BS station...Surely they must know when the ratings spike up and down, Smooth please read the REVIEWS as they are important to you!! I do not want to hear a reply from you which will be BS anyway, JUST SORT YOUR AWFUL STATION OUT.

Must be one of the biggest scams of the century, I even rang smooth radio and was given the most weakest, feeble excuses I have ever heard.
My advice is please save your money , do not get extortionate charges trying to enter this competition.
Gift your money to a charity

Sitting in tent on holiday, decided to get Smooth on my phone. Sat through about 10 advertisements and decided I was not going to pay my mobile operator to listen go that claptrap.
It's just an advertising station with bits and pieces of music thrown in. Don't bother folks, nothing to see or hear on Smooth.

I used to listen to Chill DAB, and while I was mystified at there being no adverts, hoping there was some philanthropist who just wanted us to hear great music, I loved the station and listened for hours every day.

It is true, there were plenty of repeats, but it was nice to hear familiar music that no one else was playing - and such discoveries to be made! I would make notes about anything I really liked, research the artistes, and hopefully be able to purchase their music on a CD.

But since Smooth took over the station, and renamed it Smooth Chill, the adverts are jarring and completely unsuitable for the genre of music, which is after all, supposed to be relaxing. I don't mind hearing soft, smooth adverts that blend in with the general atmosphere, but to hear the Macdonalds advert with the annoying whistle at the end is completely unacceptable and jarring.

So, unfortunately I have had to stop listening. Now, if it were a holiday advert about some peaceful, warm resort or coastal town, or maybe an ad about home decor or furniture, it might be acceptable if it were tastefully crafted and easy on the ears. I will go on listening to brief sessions of Smooth Chill, and the softer the ads, the longer I will listen!

I remember the good days of Saga radio which played a great selection of music which you would probably call more easy listening, a wide range of top tunes from class artists.....then it all went very wrong, Saga was taken over by Smooth radio who told us we would still hear from all these artists we knew and loved, well that lasted for a few weeks then predictably they all gradually were removed from the playlist until we ended up with the Global radio brainwashing handful of tunes that are now on daily repeat, this station is soul destroying, how is it allowed to keep broadcasting, the presenters are not interested in music many are merely "celebrities", the likes of Kate Garraway who is only interested in her own voice just like she is on breakfast tv. Close it down and bring back a station like Saga who played a wide range of music from a wide range of artists and had presenters that were genuinely passionate about the music they played....Shameful !

This radio station should be called monotonous FM. The same boring songs over and over again, Adele, Elton John and the carpenters. Today Eamonn Kelly said the words "coming up next." Eamonn we already know what song is coming up next, the same rubbish that was played two hours ago, yesterday afternoon, yesterday morning, the day before that, last week and last month.

The same old songs played over and over again. E.G. I am a big Joni Mitchell fan. She has made around 15 albums, 7 of which were classics. But smooth just play big yellow taxi-only, over and over. There are a wealth of album tracks that could be played by well known artists that I am sure smooth listeners would enjoy. I rarely listen to Smooth now because it is so repetitive and boring. For goodness sake TAKE A RISK, play some of the great music that you continually ignore. Play something different by Toto, by Aerosmith, by Fleetwood Mac, by Cockley Rebel, etc etc that we don't hear EVERY day! You could start gently by, say making every alternate track something from a classic album that you've not played before? But I won't hold my breath.

Smooth play a lot of songs that I love!!!! Especially songs by Ed Sheeran, Hall & Oates and Beach Boys!!!! My favourite presenters are Kate Garraway and Jenni Falconer. I really love listening to Smooth.

I won a competition for a spa weekend with Smooth FM in conjunction with Cinch and Seckford Hall, which wasn't even available. Clearly free advertising for all only!
Poor hygiene in the steam room with scum on floor and drain, a silly small metal handle on the sauna ( which was not usable without a towel) . Staff didn't even say to sign out due to meeting above ( which took priority over customers ).
When I won this last year, I couldnt book as they kept saying refurb so had to book this year. When I eventually booked, I was advised all done and treatments booked, only to find after I confirmed nearer booking date that the treatments had been cancelled yet again. To stop being messed around anymore I was offered a refund on the treatments or try to book another date again. i took a refund on the treatments on the condition that all facilities were available ( which was confirmed they would be). We found that was not the case when we arrived either.
No spa was available but steam room or sauna. No swimming pool (due to pump broken), not even a gym ( building site with a step machine shoved to the wall ) even though it was showed on the website. Treatments were cancelled due to yet another refurbishment but nothing else ready either. If the only two rooms that were available had been refurbished ( I would love to know when ) as showed no signs. So clearly not a Spa weekend prize was not the case.
Seckford room appeared lovely but black mould and gaps on fire escape door meant had to close curtains ( which had silly placing of tieback hooks and what looked like homemade tiebacks were a pain behind the TV ) ). Shaving light didn't work and blanked off along with previous fittings for older blinds still in place. I agree an old building so would have problems with upkeeping.
Staff were lovely and the food was great but had an issue with the final bill as I had been overcharged without giving reasons. Luckily I took note of what I had and knew I was under given budget. Thankfully receptionist could see there was a problem and couldn't understand charges. After waiting a while and after showing what I had, they charged me for the wine. I was given a budget and was not told food only as it was a prize and not a Groupon deal.
This prize shouldn't be offered if it can not be used!!!
Obviously this was just an advertising stunt for Seckford Hall and Cinch.

Same songs over and over - soul destroying

Truly Awful! Plays the same playlist of songs on repeat over & over & over again every all day of the same depressing tones of Whitney Houston, Adele, Elton John, Passenger, and of course their obsession with Lewis Bloody Capaldi. Why always the same songs by these artists? They have more than one song! When you work 12 hour shifts in your job, this abomination of a station is soul destroying to be constantly exposed to. We now nickname it "Suicide FM". Why are its producers so lazy as to not even change the play list every now and then instead of the same rubbish for endless years of torture to its listeners?

I like to listen to Smooth radio it’s definitely my number one choice, mainly due to the songs which reflect my personal taste. HOWEVER, there appears a huge amount of adverts, I’ve taken to switching channels when the adverts start and they seem to last forever. It’s probably highly likely I’ll be switching permanent, as I only get limited time when in the car and the adverts always seem to be on.

Shame it was otherwise a good channel.

So there are millions of records in the world but you think its ok to play the same songs every day 2 or 3 times a day-it isnt and the standards people should be looking at this with a view to closing you down and replacing you with someone else

too much repetition. Only just started listening as no cd in new car. Day 1 lovely. Day 2 repeats of some of day 1 by different presenter. Day 3 repeats of day 2. Won't bother if this is the norm. thousands of songs to choose from and you keep repeating. SHAME and SAD

Tedious and repetitive is the best I can say about Smooth. I recently 'rediscovered' is after a decade and I think it's the same playlist apart from a few recent additions.
