Marcus and Dalton were superb tour coordinators during our Misool adventure. Overall every thing went like clockwork, the resort was top notch from accommodations, to food to the actual snorkeling as were the staff. Honestly I have nothing but praise for both Snorkle Venture and Misool resort. Prior to the trip, the process was flawless and responsive.

We just finished the Misool resort snorkel trip for 9 days! What a beautiful resort and great staff. The food, the rooms etc all A-plus. The trip was made extra special by the two snorkel adventure guides Marcus and Dalton who brought their incredibly diverse skills. Marcus with his amazing UW photography and non-stop humor, kindness and energy and Dalton who taught me so many lessons in photography and UW life and island life and who brought the magic to the trip. The two together make the best team any group could ask for. I highly recommend this company and these guides. This region for snorkeling is the best for aquatic diversity and color and the resort was like I already said - really nice and the staff also were knowledgeable. I haven’t seen so many sharks and corals and fish and strong healthy reefs in a very long time.

I did the Snorkel Liveaboard trip through the Forgotten Islands and Misool in Indonesia in November 2025. It was a trip of a lifetime for me. We were the only boat and definitely the only snorkelers at many times on this trip which it made it even more special. There's nothing like feeling like you're one of a select few people who get to experience this pristine environment. Snorkel Venture, Alex, and the Amira Liveaboard guides did an amazing job finding snorkel sites and pointing out all the hidden and unique critters and fish that I would have never seen otherwise!

First time tour with SnorkelVenture
to the Misool Eco Resort in October 2025. Extremely satisfied and impressed with the overall experience. Kelly and Bernita kindly handled the front end office administration details leading up to the trip. Promptly answered all questions and provided regular trip updates prior to departure.

Our amazing tour guides were Marcus and Alex who went beyond expectations to ensure that all tour participants were well informed, safe and happy. Special kudos re their efforts to take and share individual and group photos of all participants, as well as compiling and sharing a wonderful tour photo/video summary presentation. Their camera and drone work is phenomenal!

The Misool resort team support both in Sorong and to/from the resort, as well as at the resort were very friendly, organized and helpful.

This was the most expensive snorkel trip that we’ve ever been on, but given the remoteness of the resort, and the stunningly beautiful and vibrant coral reef ecosystem, it was fair value for a truly memorable “peak” recreation experience!!
Raja Ampat remains a very special place on earth, and SnorkelVenture is a top tier tour provider!

This was a great snorkeling experience that exceeded my expectations. It was well organized from locations, lodging, guides, etc. Our tour guides Dalton and Crystal were knowledgeable, organized, interactive, and had a good sense of humor.

From beginning to end, we had the trip of a lifetime. Dalton and Crystal were a great team and everything ran smoothly. It is hard for us to imagine a better snorkelling experience.

The leaders on the trip were wonderful. Very organized and great personal touch. The snorkel sites were amazing. The accommodations and food were exceptional!

The entire trip ran very smoothly.
There was lots of input from Alex and Marcus both in the water and out. They helped point out interesting fish, took beautiful photos that they shared and were always available with detailed explanations as to logistics, etc. Beyond this they were very friendly and became like friends on the trip. We felt safe and protected at all times.

Absolutely incredible company with amazing staff and service. They always put the guest first!! Totally enjoyed our dream adventure to Raja Ampat. The accommodations were fantastic. Marcus and Alec were great hosts/guides. Ever present, full of energy and willing to do what needed to be done. Always giving out suggestions, helping with gear and having fun the entire time.

I have just returned from a 12-day liveaboard with Snorkel Venture on the Naga Biru in the Komodo region of Indonesia.
This is my second snorkelling trip with this company this year and I cannot praise them highly enough.
Our guide/photographer was exceptionally good and lots of fun.
His friendliness, knowledge and enthusiasm made the trip even more special. Safety is taken very seriously and at all times, even though we were often in remote waters with strong currents, I felt safe and assured I was being looked after.
He is a very good underwater photographer and made sure to include photos of each of us snorkelling which he uploaded daily to our phones. He went the extra mile to ensure we all had an unforgettable holiday. I don't think you could ask for a better snorkelling guide, nor a more professional operation as Snorkel Venture. Looking forward to more trips with them.

Marcus Blake was a remarkable guide who checked every box- very knowledgeable about the Komodo area and creatures, enthusiastic, fun, quickly resolving any issues, clear leadership, good rapport with everyone, went above and beyond in many instances including tracking down some glasses I lost at the airport before the trip was even under way. Very professional and highly recommend.

I have just completed my fourth Snorkel Venture tour and am so very pleased to have quite a few more trips booked. They are simply the best snorkelling tour company you will find. From the moment you make contact they are efficient, responsive and incredibly helpful. As to the tours themselves - just WOW!!! Snorkel Venture does their homework and only uses the best resorts and liveaboards. They choose these places not just for the on land experience, but also to give you the very best underwater experience you can dream of. I have just done 11 days on the Naga Biru Liveaboard in Komodo and it was beyond all my expectations. Marcus, our fabulous tour leader, took care of everything with aplomb and professionalism. His knowledge of the Komodo National Park was extensive and as a result we had some incredible underwater experiences. I could go on and on about how great Snorkel Venture are, but I'll leave it up to you to decide. Booking a trip with Snorkel Venture is an experience you will never forget.

Yet another fabulous trip with Snorkel Venture (SV), this time to Wakatobi Resort, Indonesia. We do a lot of travel and SV is by far the best tour operator in terms of a seamless, hassle free and quality service. Starting with the their informative website and enticing range of world wide top snorkelling destinations; ease of booking and payment; experienced, knowledgeable and personable tour guides; obvious strong rapport with local resort guides and staff; support of promoting sound local environmental tourism, dedicated spacious boats to reach snorkelling sites, with lots of pampering along the way; and lastly, the provision of excellent underwater photography/video to tour group members through WhatsApp and Google Drive files.

This has been a once in a lifetime experience. The trilogy of excellence: the snorkeling, the resort and last but not least; Dalton our humble fearless leader. This was totally unexpected, a luxury experience in the midst of the Coral Triangle. The only downside is that the reefs and fish and underwater experience was so otherworldly that we couldn’t even begin to describe it to anyone else. A truly surreal and Unexpected Journey

I cannot recommend Snorkel Venture highly enough.Everything was really well organised with an excellent choice of venues and amazing , diverse snorkel sites.Throughout the trip there was very good communication between the tour guide, the resort staff and S.V. administration in order to seamlessly deal with any eventualities. The staff at the two venues were polite, friendly, most helpful and efficient. The managers, Alex and Uri at the Alami Alor resort deserve special mention . Also, Ian, the tour leader. With his expertise, energy and enthusiasm, he worked tirelessly to maximise each participant’s enjoyment. His humour, efficiency and support made the lengthy transits more relaxing and less arduous. The entire trip was so enjoyable that I doubt I could match the experience. However, I have booked my next trip already . With Snorkel Venture, naturally. Most certainly they are my first choice tour operator for any future snorkelling holidays.

The snorkeling and reefs are unparalleled in beauty and diversity. The travel to and from and in between the resorts in Indonesia is brutal - weird and limited flight times, long taxi/transport rides to/from airports and harbors. The food is local and healthy. The variety of food is limited. The staff and guides are very good, helpful, and reliable. The third world conditions are sobering for the villages and the populous. The variety of aquatic life is amazing; the health of the reefs is affirming; the clouds of fish and their variety is remarkable. The colors in the underwater corals, sponges, and reefs in general have to be seen to be understood. The pictures/photos are not adequate to document the majesty of the experience. The "muck" snorkels are not my choice of a snorkel experience. The night snorkels are too crowded - need a less dense guide-to-guest ratio to avoid a "bumper car" experience. The local guides are excellent in finding and pointing out reef inhabitants. Some guests we traveled with are absolutely addicted to this type of trip and are multi-time participants of land and sea based trips in Indonesia. I am very glad I had the opportunity to experience the incredible reefs and sea life; however, I would not do another trip because of the myriad travel hops, logisitics hurdles, and uncertain and limited transport/flight schedules. That said, Snorkel Ventures does a heroic job of attempting to buffer the guests from all the complexity of the "moving parts", and, in the large majority of instances, succeeds admirably.
