Just stumbled across all the awful reviews on here! I am honestly shocked. Do not believe these disingenuous reviews!! Clearly bored housewives have nothing better do during lockdown than to slander and defame Sylvia's business on the internet and try to get their sheep to follow.

If you are one of the people leaving the negative reviews about your sick kitten... maybe your household is to blame. Your kitten gets a health certificate before leaving home with you and its vaccinations.

I have the 2 most beautiful, healthy, affectionate, big boys from Sylvia. One of them has just turned 5 years old and the other is 4 years old. I have had no problems with either of them. I am getting my 3rd raggie from her early this year and I cannot wait! I do not have anything bad to say about her as a breeder only the GOOD!

This is my review of dealing with Sylvia and how happy i am with my kitten i received from her, after searching online various of different breeders i decided to get in touch with Sylvia, i was recommended by a friend who had dealings with Sylvia in the past and was very happy, after a few phone calls and deciding that i wanted to visit Sylvia to see the kittens Sylvia was only to happy to have me visit which was a little different to some of the other experiences i had with others i called, i did not feel comfortable going to visit them as it felt as though they might be hiding something, i agreed a time and day to come visit Sylvia who was more than willing to put herself out to fit in with when i could visit, on arrival Sylvia was very welcoming showed me around and explained all about the cats, i left feeling very happy with my choice and was told there would be a short delay whilst kittens went to vets to checked before i could go back and collect my kitten.

I have seen some of the reviews by other people and i have to say i can not believe this is same lovely person i dealt with, i can say my experience dealing with Sylvia was a joy, i would say do not believe the nasty reviews as seems someone has a vendetta to do damage to her reputation, i can personally say that dealing with Sylvia was a pleasure not nasty or aggressive.

Have recommended Sylvia to others and when allowed to travel have said they are very interested in going to see her

Whilst Sylvia must produce healthy and happy kittens from reading some of her good reviews, please be aware that her customer skills aren’t the best.
If you were to encounter any problems with your kitten, please be aware that I personally didn’t receive the kind professional, concern, support and aftercare that I would expect. My kitten had some issues and I didn’t even continue to inform Sylvia in the end, as she was quite defensive rather than helpful. My kitten has since had around £400 of treatment/investigations, and is still being monitored by my vet.
Although the costs so far have mostly been covered by insurance, we have yet to conclude what’s going on and further investigations may have to take place. It’s a constant worry -which is not what you need over your new family member.
Perhaps if Sylvia had been more empathic and kind, I wouldn’t have felt the need to express my concerns.
I have chosen to remain anonymous as I don’t wish to have any reactive responses.

I would recommend Sylvia very highly, extremely professional in every aspect with how i was dealt with the time taken to show the cats and how they are kept, nothing was to much trouble for Sylvia any paperwork i wanted to see i only had to ask and Sylvia was more than willing to provide them for me, the cats had regular check ups at the vets with gave me reassurance that i was dealing with a professional and not someone who was just in it to make a few pound which is the impression i got from other people i contacted before i was lucky enough to find someone like Sylvia with integrity and honesty regarding the cats, i can assure anyone who is looking to deal with Sylvia feel rest assured the professionalism from Sylvia is second to none, i have recommended friends to deal with Sylvia and they have all said exactly the same, i will be dealing with Sylvia again because of the standard and professionalism shown and quality of cats is best i have come across there are some others out there but in my opinion do not come close in terms of how cats are kept and quality of them, Sylvia is a true professional and i personally would recommend highly

Sylvia is aggressive and clearly shows her true nature by her responses on here. She made my experience really upsetting and I’m so thankful I didn’t get a kitten from her in the end. She called me neurotic, manic and a troll. Very unprofessional. Sick cats, sick kittens and poor service. AVOID.

This breeder sells sick kittens. She is banned from fife since June 2020. for following reasons. Ms. Sylvia Read-Hauser
(Ms Read-Hauser has been found in breach of BH&W rules 2.3 and 2.3.3, ordered to pay £150.00 fine and suspended for 12 months. These rules are: 2.33 Kittens must not go to a new owner before they are 12 weeks old and have been fully vaccinated against panleucopenia, calici virus and herpes virus. She sold a kitten at 9 weeks of age. I have also recently seen photos of kittens with the most awful eye infections. She is also hostile and abusive when challenged. Evidence including vet reports have been sent to trust pilot. Please check felis britannica website under suspensions. Not sure where all these positive reviews are from. Trust pilot keep removing the bad reviews, which obviously mean they condone sick kittens. Genetic issues and illness are rife here. With evidence to prove it. Please please use your hard earned money to buy from an ethical breeder.

This breeder is a disgrace. This is a cruel breeder banned from GCCF and FIFE.
Never buy from this person. It will cost you thousands in vets bills as well as heartache when your baby dies

Absolutely disgusting. You keep removing negative reviews from this person. Even though Fife has suspended her! She also keeps selling sick kittens.
Look at this kittens eyes. Shame on you.

I’ve deleted my previous review of PomCats, I never wrote my true feelings of this breeder then and won’t go into all that now, but agree with those reviews written quite recently!

I am so grateful to Sylvia for our gorgeous girl ‘Dobby’. We brought her home a few weeks ago and she is perfect. Not only is she stunning but she has the most amazing temperament and character. She’s confident, playful and affectionate. It’s clear to see the love and care that she has received from Sylvia in her first 12 weeks. When we picked her up she had been micro-chipped, had a vet health check and had both vaccinations. Sylvia provided a goodie bag with food and toys and a ton of information on feeding, health and general care.
If you are thinking of getting a Ragdoll then do not hesitate to contact Sylvia, she is a fantastic Lady who genuinely cares about all her cats and their welfare. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Thank you so much Sylvia.

I am so glad I did not read the negative reviews before I made my mind up to look into wanting another cat.It could have put me off,to which I would of missed such a kindly lady like Sylvia.I have 2 older rag dolls at the moment,Eddie been 12 is having health problems,my other cat fretting that his mate does not want to play all the time now with him.I was looking into getting an older cat,just in case Percy was left on his own.All a fluke as I rang Sylvia up for advice about this I did not know of her before.It was a pleasure to learn of her experience with breeding,and so knowledgable and kind.Syvia told me there was not a lot of kittens about for sale at the moment,maybe wait until spring.I said an older cat would be fine,Sylvia then told me about one of her cats who was 17 months old that was very shy and was not settling,as well as she hoped.Sylvia then asked me how many people live at my home and if I was used to dealing with rag dolls.Also was it a quiet house no children,she then offered to me I could buy the cat if she was sure it was a good home,as the little cat was timid,she sent me photos an I fell in love as you do.My husband an my son drove all the way from Yorkshire to collect the cat,Sylvia arranged for someone to meet my husband to hand over the cat because of lock down.Sylvia I could tell was fretting about the cat hoping she would be ok with us,she kept texting me to enquire how it had gone the journey,how the little girl was,I could tell she cared a lot.The little girl whom we have named Dollie is beautiful,very happy with her 2 new friends who look after her and she follows them round.I can say I would drive 400 miles and more to buy a kitten from Sylvia.Outstanding service and care.This is what we want us lovers of our rag dolls someone like this special lady who helps us an not in it for the money.Thank god I rang her that day xx

To anyone reading these reviews, absolutely ignore these nasty comments from whoever this nasty nasty person is trying to ruin Sylvia and her hobbyist breeding. Clearly Sylvia has protected her kitten rightly so and someone is now trying to ruin her!! There are too many nasty people out there and this isn’t fair! I have had a lot of experience Dealing with breeders ( owning 3 cats) And having had a particularly horrendous experience with a breeder down in Cornwall it is beyond evident to me the level of expertise, love, care, and protection that Sylvia brings To her babies. My 8 month old lynx ragdol is everything and a million times more than I expected , he is the healthiest cat ever, came with all the relevant paperwork, toys food, micro chip but beyond this he came with a lifetime of love and support from his original mummy Sylvia. She sometimes is a little slow to reply but that’s because she is busy looking after and prioritising her cats and that’s how it should be. Please do not hesitate to buy your little fur baby from this breeder, we do not want the good ones like her to stop breeding trust me. Sylvia I don’t know you apart from my dealings with you over my little kitten but ignore these people - the good always come through and I encourage any other person who’s had a kitten from you to support you now and leave positive feedback. I will 100% buy another kitten from you- the quality of your cats are Above and beyond & if you’re lucky enough to get in her waiting list I promise you it is totally worth it - Sylvia won’t let her cats go to just anyone mind , they are her babies so she wants total reassurance they are going to a loving home and this is the way it should be so good for you Sylvia. England needs breeders like you.

Picked up our little beauty ‘Betsy’ recently and could not be more pleased. Travelled from Gloucestershire but happy to make the trip as Sylvia is the only breeder I would have trusted (having had an awful experience in the past!). I knew the quality of kittens she breeds first hand as my sister has had a little boy from her. Betsy for us, is total perfection. She has the most sweet and gentle nature, with a cute little playful side! She adores a cuddle and just loves company and snuggles. She came litter trained, with all the relevant documentation plus lots of useful advise . All credit to Sylvia and her babies. The genuine care she has for her cats is evident to see in how she has raised them, and the glowing reviews she receives from anyone who is lucky enough to have one. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a Ragdoll in the future.

We recently welcomed two of Sylvia's gorgeous cats into our home, and feel very privileged to have them as part of the family! Crystal and Shadow are young females recently retired from breeding: both incredibly pretty and wonderfully affectionate characters. It has been a pleasure to meet Sylvia, who gave us a fantastic introduction to looking after ragdolls (our first) and their particular likes and dislikes. Nothing could have been too much trouble, in fact, and it's very clear that she cares enormously about all of her animals. I can't speak too highly of her.

I purchased the most gorgeous male kitten from Sylvia and honestly cannot rate her highly enough. She seems to have upset some people on here but the difference with Sylvia is she cares about her cats and treats them as her own so if she’s not happy with the hOuse they are going to she won’t let them go. Our cat milo is now 8 months old and he is so healthy with the most incredible temperament. I would encourage anyone to have one of her cats I honestly would. I traveled from Cheltenham to purchase him because I trusted her and rightly so.
Please ignore these comments on here and talk to her. She is one of the better breeders out there and I have met a lot.

I came all the way from Essex for my precious baby boy. It was worth the distance to get a Ragdoll kitten with beautiful markings and a lovely temperament. He's affectionate, playful, litter trained and settled down really quickly. My daughter has also had a kitten from Sylvia and you can tell they're brought up in the best environment to make happy well-adjusted cats. Sylvia is very knowledgeable and has lots of advice and my kitten came with a welcome pack, fully vaccinated, microchipped and with a month's insurance. I highly recommend Sylvia as a top quality breeder.

Sylvia gave us our beautiful Milo in may and he is so big and very healthy! Couldn’t recommend anyone better for my beautiful rag doll!

We just brought home our little ragdoll boy from Snowpoms. Sylvia has been supportive and we are very thankful to her, she gave us a beautifu show quality blue boy. She is well experienced and loves her cats, coming from her our baby boy settled in very quickly and has a great temperament. We would definitely recommend her and hopefully will get another baby from Snowpoms in the near future.

We drove all the way from London to pick up our ragdolls. Perfect kittens, our two boys settled in quickly and are everything we wanted and more. Big personalities, easygoing and gentle, happy, playful and curious. Litter trained and well behaved, came fully vaccinated with set of documents and everything as one would expect from a responsible breeder. We can wholeheartedly recommend Sylvia’s cats.
