I have made several purchases of sockets and switches from this product range over the last couple of years and the quality has always been good and it's the same for my latest purchase. What's changed however, it the colour of the fixing bolt heads. These have gone from antique brass (matching with the cover plate) to a gun-metal like finish. This, in my view, is a retrograde step and detracts from the overall appearance of the sockets and switches.I cannot understand why the manufacturer would do this, unless it's some form cost cutting exercise which if it is, it's a shame.

The finish was recently updated by the manufacturer, and while this does not affect the quality or performance of the product, we appreciate that appearance is just as important.
