STOP sending me harassing emails harassing me for money i dont owe you and inappropriately threatening me, i ended my account with so energy years ago. i moved house and have been there for 2 years and i am with a different provider. i havent lived at the address where i used to be, when I was with so energy for YEARS. I WAS PAID UP TO DATE WHEN I MOVED OUT. IF YOU DONT STOP HARASSING ME I WILL REPORT YOU. UPDATE YOUR RECORDS. CONTACT THE RELEVANT PERSON, NOT ME. So Energy are really appalling - Avoid - Avoid
So Energy are really appalling. They over estimated my use and then as i tried to move account they then further estimated consumption that has not occurred, i think just to keep hold of my money.
They said that they tried to send my money back but the DD didn`t work, they are very capable of taking my money.

I have been trying to resolve an issue for a vulnerable customer since March and today I spoke to Karl this morning. Karl was so knowledgeable and helpful.
He completely resolved an issue that has taken the complaints team at So Energy two months to respond on.
Karl resolved it in one call and provided exceptional customer service.

I changed supplier 36 days aho and still they haven't done a final statement and still have £338 of my money which is credit. Cancelled direct debit as i didn't want them to have anymore money and all i get is emails telling me they need me to set one up ?? They don't seem to have a clue glad I've gone elsewhere been much better treated already.

Customer service so rude when I called after our gas Smart meter was installed and our heating and hot water cut off!
Trying to get them to accept blame for this was challenging! They told us to call the subcontractor who completed the work, they told us to call So Energy, they then told us to call Subcontractors again where I got a very understanding line manager who contacted So Energy himself to get the problem sorted! So Energy
made us sound like we were lying, and she said if they have to send out another engineer to sort it and they find the fault is not theirs we will be charged, not a nice tone in her voice!
The engineer took blame for the fault when he turned up and fixed it (sub contractor) when So energy called me back she said ‘so the blame is yours it wasn’t the meter that wasn’t working’ the engineer said it was!! 😯 Someone is lying! She was very scathing and accusing, I had taken photos of the meter that was completely dead thankfully!
I also got the full name of the engineer.
It sounded to me So Energy didn’t want to pay for a second visit l!! Even though it was their fault

The phone system is rubbish. Can't get thru. They don't answer emails. They have a large amount of my money but can't get them to refund it. Roll on August when my contract finishes with them. Must be the worst company ever
Not receiving statements
I have not received a statement since having a smart meter fitted 9 months ago despite numerous emails and phone calls. They just fob me off with excuses, and do nothing. My account is showing my payments every month but not showing any usage values Therefore, I have no idea how much I’m spending. There is over £700 in credit showing on my account. I can’t see why they can’t send statements as they did before the meter was fitted. Really poor service and only serves to create mistrust.
I am so angry with So Energy
I am so angry with So Energy. My smart meter has not been recording my gas consumption for nearly 12 months and I have rung so many times. I took pictures of the blank display and sent them as requested several times. When I ring So Energy they always asked me to hold while they try to get through to their 'metering section' which also always has long waits. They say they will deal with it.
Customers seem unable to get through to a team leader or manager and no one gets back from the metering section. This is not a frontline problem but relates to higher-up management who seem remote from the customer. There is a shocking acceptance of these poor standards and failure of customer care.
I shall have to go to the media and beyond as So Energy does nothing and seem incapable of dealing with repeated complaints after 11 months of the Smart meter not recording.

Shocking experience. Made a complaint regarding my account. As I have been trying to sort my account for over 6 months been ringing all the time having to explain over and over again my situation for it not to be resolved. They say they will call me back and never do. I’m continually chasing them with no luck, I was in £1500 credit and now they have put me in minus with no explanation as they havnt been filing my readings! I’m so cross

I was 988 in credit
I was £988 in credit, to obtain £738 of my own money, I had to send pics of my metres which I had previously sent in 3 months ago. If I didn’t send the pics I could only get a small amount of my own money back! They don’t pay us interest, how much are they making from people by doing this. Due to the fact I was so much in credit I asked to reduce my d/debit amount I was told I need to wait till next month to reduce this, given I’m still credit with them it’s Absolutely disgusting treatment if us customers , they think they can bully us . Don’t use this company, their policies are terrible and I have never experienced anything like this in my 40 yrs of having energy supplies

USELESS. Smart meters fitted last year and worked for a while, and now they tell me they can’t read them. House is unoccupied for a fair amount of time, hence need for meters. They now say I’m massively in credit, which is clearly wrong, as they simply AREN’T taking readings.
And will they answer emails? No - can’t even get an acknowledgement. RUDE, and 100% inefficient. I urgently need answers and simply cannot get them.

Before switching to So Energy I confirmed with them that they would be ok taking a customer with disabilities & went on to explain what my disabilities were. I was brutally honest about my finances which was quite an embarrassing ordeal.
I agreed to a DD of £95.00 per month that very swiftly increased to £122.00. During the summer months I had built up a substantial amount of credit & was happy with what my statements presented. They had arranged for their "offered service" of a meter reading person to obtain readings every month which they stated had to be in by the 19th of every month. The meter reading person was either not turning up or was turning up a week to late. I was then being bombarded with emails about the readings. I called So Energy to discuss my account but was told I couldn't. Then I received a ridiculous amount of pre dated statements with no explanation? They have now decided that my bills should be paid twice, once from my monthly DD & again from my credit? I tried to discuss this on so many calls but never got any answers. I then asked for my money in credit to be returned to my account but was told I could not have it? They offered me £99.00 back out of my credit of £544.41 & stated they had the right under their policy to keep the rest? I offered to carry on paying my DD of £122.00 monthly & if necessary raise my DD amount should my bills get higher, which is an option given by So Energy but I was told I could not do this. I cannot keep paying twice, paying once from credit & again from DD every month for one bill, IT HAS PUSHED ME INTO HARDSHIP. The last adviser who kept me on the phone for well over an hour decided to terminate the call when I became upset from the lack of accurate information, he thought was it was ok to keep placing me on hold & raise YET ANOTHER complaint that NEVER gets dealt with! I am currently quite unwell & finding it really difficult to deal or infact listen to such incompetence on such a high scale. JUST ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS, STOP BEING GREEDY WITH OUR MONEY & LIFE WOULD BE SO MUCH BETTER. All the problems on my account have been created by So Energy but I am the one being punished for being a good customer. YOU ARE A DEPLORABLE COMPANY, ONE OF WHICH WHO SHOULD BE UTTERLY ASHAMED OF YOUR APPROACH TO THE VERY PEOPLE WHO KEEP YOUR COMPANY TRADING. HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR THE VULNERABLE OF THIS WORLD & GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!
