all the service was perfect, since i picked up the car in puerto banus to the return of the car at the airport. i was in a harry but the girl was so efficient that didnt take any time at all

I recommend each client to read word by word the 20 page contract,as you will never get any help or understanding for misunderstandings or errors.You will always be charged the maximum amount possible in case of damages or extra kilometres.There politics is not like of other bigger companies,which inform the client of disadavantigious contract details and where to be careful.The russian management has got its own ethics and do not need the client to return,as they got enough new clients to live profit from.The manager refused to speak to me personally over a 2 week period,to listen to my complaints.Be careful with Solo CAR.

They are not serious. We rented the car in Madrid and had complications and problems from the very beginning. With the payment, the take money from your account instead of only blocking the amount on your card. They send automatic verification of the state of the car after picking it up and then charge you for inexistent damages. They don't pick the phone in the office when you call and the number in the contract for ¨assistance¨ does not exist (message from phone operator: ... the number you have dialed does not exist...) We ended up calling Barcelona for help but still had many problems also after returning. With no explanation they kept part of the deposit. After complaining and complaining we are now with a full complain with the Consumer Association of Spain and might go to legal procedures. It´s been months and still not solved. Please be careful!!

I would not recommend this rental company, at least in the Barcelona office. I am renting car nearly once a month since 10 years in various countries, this company has been the worst so far.
4 times I rent a car in the Barcelona Office since January, 3 times I had problems in various areas. Here my story:
- 1st rental: excellent. Nothing to say, everything was fine. Ok, it is near my flat, I will go again, especially because I can give back the car at any time, no office opening hour to return it.
- 2nd rental: car was not full when I took it, the guy said to me to return it with same level of oil. At return they charged me for extra kms and missing oil. Finally, I got back my money, but it was not easy. Ok, this can happen, it is not pleasant, but still everything else was fine.
- 3rd rental: the worst. It started at pickup, where I waited 2h in front of the closed office, with no way to contact anyone. In a hurry because I was quite late for my appointment, I didn't check the car and trusted their own damage inventory. They also said to me that deposit will be cashed and return after devolución (it was 1900€). On the car return mail confirmation, they spotted 4 damages, and 150km extra. And then, the story is mixed with my 4th rental, that was already booked before I received this email...
- 4th rental: continuation of the previous one. I have been 4 times to the office to get the car, exchanging mail with the manager to set up an appointment always missed. Once there with a real guy, I take time to talk about my previous rent.
- The end of the 3rd rental story: We went together to the car. On the 3 damages, I proved that 2 were not mine thanks to previous pictures THEY had. The 3rd damage was erased with finger, it was dust. For the last one, I had nothing to prove that it was not me. For kilometers extras, I said the guy on phone for reservation said it was 200km per day, but the contract I received stated 150km. The contract I didn't take time to read because I was already 1h30 late because of them, and previous rents were 200km. Finally, they "offered" me the extra kms, because they knew their guy said 200km to many customers (they changed their policies recently). But for the extra damage (and I am quite sure it is not me, the car under was parked in private area), they took 150€. It was a 3cm long 1mm wide dark line with no shape deformation. Also, I got back deposit 1 month and 2 weeks AFTER the return.
- The end of my 4th rental: Return confirmation mail stated everything OK, oil full, kms in range and no damage. I receive my deposit (that was cashed, again) 1 month and one week later instead of 21 days, with 250€ missing. Yes, 250€, with absolutely no reason. I contacted them, no feedback from them since already more than a week.
To conclude, cars are great, prices seem great, but hidden cost are not great. On four rents, 400€ have been kept. 150€ that I considered abused, and 250€ with no reason that I consider as robbery.
I strongly suggest not only to check the car before taking it, but also to take pictures, because otherwise you won't be able to prove anything.
If you can rent in another company, I would strongly advise you to do so.

The car arrived slightly late but the company kept us informed and extended the rental period to compensate for this. The person we dealt with, Gaga was excellent. All the paperwork was completed easily, we had no problems with the payment or the refunding of the deposit. Great car, great service, no problems
