I ordered a memorial plaque for my late wife and discussed my requirements with Dan, who was very helpful in suggesting solutions to my requirements.

Dan kept me informed of delivery dates and also emailed me when it was despatched.

The plaque is beatifully made and the stain used really enhanced the natural grain in the wood.

The site was easy to use and very informative and more importantly the price was very competitive. When the slate name plate arrived we were very pleased with the quality.

I was running out of time for a 5 year anniversary present for my husband. 'Made in the West Country' is a great site and I immediately found a perfect gift. On the phone a kind voice from a chap called Dan assured me that he could make and engrave the gift, no problem. It arrived 2 days ahead of what we agreed and my husband loved his gift. I ordered on line and the product arrived just when they said it would. As we were going away, i rang to check progress. left a message and they came back very promptly to tell me when the projected delivery date would be. I was very impressed - and our new name plate looks really great.

I was very pleased with my order, with both the fast service and the Door name plaque that i ordered.

It was easy to order and the sign was exactly as I expected. Really pleased with it. The delivery was quick and packaging good as the post man put it through the letter box and it didn't break.

My second order I'm placing on the phone as I had difficulty with their online order form. It kept telling me that my basket was empty-and try again!

I ordered a wooden name plaque for my house. It arrived within the expected time and was neatly and securely, but not excessively, packaged. The plaque feels solid and heavy and the letters neatly machine-carved and stained. The only possible areas where it could have been better are a very minor blemish on the edge of one letter and the finish of the varnish is slightly rough. The former is easy to ignore and the latter does not detract from the appearance and can be easily dealt with using wire wool when it needs another coat of varnish in a few years' time. The price presents better value than many competitors and I would happy recommend "Made in the West Country" to other people.

I was very pleased with the sign - although I inadvertently ordered one too small........

I looked around on the internet and in shops for a house name plate and found these to be the cheapest. The plate was well packaged when it arrived and of good quality. The only downside is that the website doesn't give you an opportunity to view the product you have personalised before you buy it so you are relying on your knowledge of fonts to create an image in your mind.

I received my replaement post box, which was much better than the original, but I still had to make adjustments to the hinged lid as it was not fitted straight. When the post box was fixed to the wall one edge of the lid rubbed against the wall when opened. This was because the lid hinge was not fitted straight. A nice looking product, but just needs better quality control.

The cross we ordered was beautifully made and worth every penny we paid. We will order from the company again should the need arise and will do so with complete confidence. Excellent service and quality!
