I ordered and paid for the large coastal credenza on 15th December. Initial delivery date offered was 2nd Jan but I was away. We agreed to defer until w/c 12th January. 12th came and went as did 13th/ 14th / 15th then an email on the 16th to say the order was as being processed. When I asked why, when I had bought and paid for the item in December, I was told they hadn't been able to reserve it. I questioned whether they actually had the product available in stock they said yes. They then agreed delivery w/c 19th Jan. Yet again 19th / 20th / 21st / 22nd came and went with another Friday email on the 23rd to say there were no deivery drivers that week (and they tell me on Friday... ). First it was the couriers that were the issue. When I questioned that, it was then the retailer who had failed to log the new delivery date for w/c 12th Jan. Then an offer of £30 in compensation but to my PayPal account, which I don't have. I queried the PayPal payment but they said it was only way to pay compensation. When I pointed out any payments, refunds, full, partial or compensation are meant to be paid to the original card, they found that they could do it. At the point I said I would cancel, they "guaranteed" delivery w/c 26th and agreed to a full refund if the delivery failed again. It finally arrived on 28th Jan. Beautiful piece of furniture but the process has been an absolute nightmare. Twelve days of my valuable time just sat around waiting. No indication of when the couriers would be in touch (i.e. they will be in contact the day before to arrange a date so you don't have to wait in until you get that call. Simple enough). Be all the same for people having to take time off work, no consideration for peoples time. There are other things on their website I may have ordered but unlikely now. No contact from the retailer finally acknowledging delivery. Overall a very poor experience.
Edit: E-mail from retailer today 16.22hrs to check if courier contacted me prior to delivery on 28th. For information, yes, they called the day before to confirm date and time.

The quality of the table is high end and its beautiful. Vicky from customer service was very super responsive and even added my discount code after the fact after i forgot to add it at check-out. I purchased the idea 3 wardrobe in Shetland oak and I’m so so pleased with it. The size and colour is perfect. Struggled to find a wardrobe that was tall enough so this hit the mark.
Delivery was really efficient and dead on time with helpful delivery team. The wardrobe is well made and had an excellent experience with the customer service team when I had questions. Such great value for money.

I ordered a wardrobe from Sooxos for £295.99. It took over just under four weeks to arrive, and when it did, it was entirely made of chipboard. There was a missing piece, and part of the front door was rotten and chipped. It was incredibly difficult to put together, which was a rather convoluted and complex process that took several hours and not the much shorter time suggested by the manufacturer.
When I contacted the company, they offered a £30 refund and redelivery of the damaged and missing parts. They also suggested the issues were my fault as I had started assembling the wardrobe, even though i hadn’t realised the piece was damaged and another missing once I started building the wardrobe.
I felt that the email exchange was taking little responsibility, they also sent me an email intended for another customer.
By the time the replacement pieces arrived, it had been around two months since I placed the order. While the finished wardrobe is nice to look at, the quality, put together process, broken and missing parts, customer service, and long delivery mean I would not purchase from Sooxos again.
Update:
Since writing this review the company have got back in touch. We have further resolved the matter financially through email. Which points to improved customer service but only after I had written this review and not the heartfelt email I had written back in June.
They have told me that since my original complaints they have decided to no longer sell the Piemonte Dark Oak Effect Double Wardrobe. So others should unlikely encounter the same issues that I have had with the item.
I appreciate the companies explanations, but in their correspondence still puts blame onto me as I did not ‘make a complaint once your order was received’ I’m not sure if this means when they received my order or when I received the delivery… of course I had no idea the issues were going to take place when I made the order and I only took 3 days to make a complaint after receiving it as I had been away, which I think is pretty fair.
I have suggested that for those situations where the buyer is not at fault not to place blame onto them as it does not feel just.
Even though there has been further resolution financially (now a £150 compensation), I still wish to keep my review here as I believe honesty, integrity and transparency are important for other buyers.
We all make mistakes and this could just be a one off, I see many other buyers have had good experiences on Trustpilot.
I wish the company all the best and hope they learn from this situation.
2nd Update: the company are continuing to send me emails requesting that I delete my review or change it from one stars. It seems excessive and a little threatening and scary a times (using capital letters, sending multiple emails in row without reply); still trying to put blame on me as the buyer, which sadly does not make me feel any lessons have been learnt about how to handle issues (rotten wood, missing item, long delivery time, poor customer service).
