We had stayed down Hayling island and on an overcast day we decided to hire electric bikes. We messaged Olly the day before and had a very simple booking process. He kept us informed, recommended a route and met us with the bikes on time.
We’ve hired e-bikes before snd these were much better for those (like me) who need the extra help.
The route recommended was brilliant - west Stoke route. Stunning views and some brilliant hills to go down fast.

We hired 4 ebikes which were brand new and high spec. We did the south downs way end to end and it was really convenient to have the bikes droped at the start and picked up at the end. Olly and team really friendly and helpful with any issues throughout the trip. Would highly recommended

Fantastic day on the South Downs
Rented 4 ebikes and had a great experience. Seamless service, pristine bikes - and the ebikes really levelled the experience for the whole party and let us cover a lot of ground. A really memorable day and highly recommended.

Rented 2 pristine ebikes to cycle the Downs. Great product that makes cycling these hills exhilarating and fun! Fantastic scenery & the super service (bike dropped off and picked up and routes explained in advance) that made it easy!

Fantastic bikes - we rented 2 mountain bikes and they were both brand new for 2021 with plenty of battery which lasted the day.

We've hired these bikes several times now. Boy what a difference having an electric MTB is when ploughing through the winter mud. These hard-tails are perfect for the local trails and with a spare battery in the back pack, no worries about running flat halfway up a hill. Great fun, delivered to the door.

All very straightforward: the guys were organised, punctual and friendly. Met at the station and soon got the hang of riding ebikes (going uphill is a doddle!) and enjoyed a great day in the South Downs. We were given a GPS router so we made the most of our time. Will definitely use this company again soon!

Superb bikes - my first time on an ebike and they were such a game changer! We could explore much further afield than our legs would normally allow. Single track, steep ascents and muddy trails become so more manageable. Great service, highly recommend. We will be back!

A great experience, but a muddy one! It was expected though for end November period. Fantastic quality bikes and reasonable fitness is expected regardless of having a bit of extra help getting up the mountain. Big thumbs up; we'll be back...

I wanted to try an ebike on the South Downs and Olly at Southern ebike Rentals made it all so easy. Booking was helpful and straightforward; he was waiting for me at our meeting spot and showed me how to use the bike (very simple). The bikes comes with a pre-programmed GPS with a route already on it (they customise this to your ability and time available) and off I went with a cereal bar for some energy! It was great fun and I managed to go 20 miles, much further than I could manage on a normal bike. It was still a good workout too - don't believe those that say ebikes are for wimps! Don't hesitate - book your ebiking experience, you won't regret it.
