Waste of Money

No better than Outlook's own spam filter. Does not learn, so allows dozens of the same emails into my inbox daily. Waste of money

SPAM emails increased after installing SPAMfighter…

Since installing SPAMfighter SPAM emails have increased exponentially, 20 to 30 times more SPAM emails. A majority are reportedly from women seeking relationships. Worse, even after blocking them with SPAMfighter, many SPAM emails go back into the Outlook SPAM folder and have to be blocked with SPAMfighter again. Not Happy!

Rating Should Be Zero Stars

I bought the paid version. This is the worst software I have ever experienced. I whitelist domains, yet they go into spam folder. I unblock domains, they still go into spam folder. Blacklisted and obvious spam goes into my inbox. OFTEN two different emails from the same whitelisted sender sent just hours apart will result in one email going into the inbox and one email going into the spam folder. UNBELIEVABLE!! Also, when I unblock an email, it does not go into the inbox of the correct email account. It goes into the email inbox of a completely different email account I rarely use. I purchased the software because this company claims to be a trusted Microsoft partner. I am beginning to question this. I have sent log files to technical support, but technical support has stopped answering. DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE!!!!! P.S. I documented over 100 errors with in a period of a week (I get lots of email). If anyone wants proof, just let me know, and I will furnish the documentation.

SpamFigher free version constantly…

SpamFigher free version constantly (daily) advises you to upgrade to the Pro version (payment required).

When you advise their support area and ask how to remove this annoying station, you get the identical chatbot response, that you need to upgrade to the Pro version. Goodbye SpamFighter for your constant annoying request to upgrade and to your annoying support area for refusing to answer, 1) Can the annoying upgrade reminder be removed? and 2) How? Avoid at all costs.

Spamfighter Applications Recommendation

I have managed thousands of software applications throught my career and I can say that the entire SpamFilghter lineup are programs that reliably work fast and are far superior to other similar apps I have tried. All of the modules have discovered and repaired issues with my system that other programs could not. The common user interface is very friendly, easy to use and efficient. Support has been excellent even with the time zone difference. I highly recommend the entire suite of products. Kudos to the development team!

I contacted the Company to report that after a period of time, my registered Software on my 2 installs keeps reverting back to trial License (so each day I need to manually put the 2 codes) I have not yet had a response which will fix the issue

Intrigued by the negative reviews

I'm intrigued by the numerous negative reviews as, to date, I've not experienced any of them.

I recently downloaded the 10-day trial version of SPAMfighter to my PC running Windows10 OS, Office Home and Outlook 2019.

On the first day, I imported my complete Outlook 2019 email address book without issue. I then worked through a long list of emails from my Outlook Junk folder, identifying all of them as spam in SPAMfighter. However, when I tried to import my long list of email addresses that I'd blocked in Outlook, I had difficulty importing more then a few. I contacted SPAMfighter tech support and they responded the next day via email with the following comment, "In the free trial version you can only add up to 5 addresses in the blacklist."

OK, but in between the time I sent the request and the time I received the above answer, I found if I added each email address manually, one at a time, rather than trying to import them in bulk, I could add all 158 of my Junk email list without restriction. Why this worked, I don't know.

The first first day after downloading the 10-day trial version and completing the above imports and manual additions, our spam email dropped from 10-15 a day to zero. On the 5th day of use, spam remained at zero, so I sign up for the Pro version for a total of $30.62 including tax for one year. If SPAMfigther continues to perform at this level, I will happily pay for another year.

Update: 10 / 2022

UGH. SPAMfighter filtering has dropped to 10% from 99.9% with no explanation from tech support despite numerous conversations. My Windows Defender and Malwarebytes keep flagging PUP's that (I've since determined) are associated with SPAM fighter. Tech support denies this, however when I uninstall SPAMfighter the warnings cease. And, when I install any of their other apps for a trial review, Defender and MB immediately quarantine the downloads due to PUP's. Two words about their tech support, which are EVASIVE and LAZY. They do respond within 24 hours without exception, but then proceed to provide stunningly brief answers that often avoid the premise of the inquiry. This gets very frustrating as the 'give and take' goes on, and on, and on - and I finally give up. I'm going to wait out my 1 year subscription to see what, if anything, improves. After that, if all things remain status quo, I'll dump this app.

I must say that I am not good at getting aps on my computer

I must say that I am not good at getting aps on my computer so need help hence my emails and calls to support. I paid for renewal of Spamfighter on 6th February 2022 since then I must have called Spamfighter getting close to 50 times. I have sent emails to support at spamfighter. Not one single email has been acknowledged or acted upon. On the phone calls I have tried all four options and have not spoken to anybody and the recorded message just goes on to say that the office is closed and is available from 10:00 to 5:30 goodbye. This totally unacceptable and I am beginning to wonder if this is a con. If they cannot help me give me my money back and I'll go to a company that cares about its clients. I did not want to give any rating but I had to tick one star as it would not let me go any further

I had a problem that Licensed SPAMfighter didn't work with the latest Thunderbird mail client.

I had a problem that Licensed SPAMfighter does not work with newer releases of Thunderbird which seems to change every 2 months with a new update. Their technical support person Thomas Lindblad suggested I download a fix that he recommended for SPAM fighter but even that did not work. I was persistant in requesting a refund. Eventually afterabout 3 weeks they did process a refund to my credit card. I wish they would publish what versions of Thunderbird that SPAMfighter would work with

SO poor service, completely unacceptable

After I invested in the product Full-disk fighter, it does not work on my PC. Have now probably 5 times tried over 3-4 months to get in touch via several emails to him who has sold me the program, Thomas Lindblad and told that the program will not work properly, and kindly asked if he can help me solve the problem.
I get NO response at all - My emails are totally ignored.
But when I ordered the product, and had questions about the product, I got answers right away. THAT is NOT the case after I have bought and paid for the product!
SO poor service and completely unacceptable.
I have written many times, and even at several different email addresses to him and the company, Spamfighter.
Thinking that he himself sorts out the incoming e-mail !!!

Emails have SPAMfighter adverts added!

I cannot accept any program which adds its own advertising to my personal or business emails. I have a 3 year SPAMfighter licence but I am now uninstalling it having seen its unasked for additions to my outgoing emails. My advice - DO NOT INSTALL SPAMFIGHTER.

If advertisement is added to your outgoing emails it means you are currently on the free version of the Spamfighter. You need to activate the product key send to you to change your free Spamfighter into the pro edition - which of course is free of all ads. If you contact our support department they can also activate the key for you.

For personal email accounts

For personal email accounts, 100% useless. Doesn't do anything more than a hotmail account already does for free. You will be wasting your time and money trying to get this to stop all those annoying emails even reaching your junk inbox... but all your efforts will fail with this tool.

Be careful - it doesn't support IMAP email settings

I have amended this review Spamfighter engaged with me following my post. They clarified that the filter does not work for IMAP email accounts and that wasn't clear when I bought the license. Its also not the recommended email settings for my email domain.

However, I'll keep an open mind - if it does what it says and keeps my inbox clear then I'll go with it.

Spam Fighter Hosted Mail Gateway

Spam Fighter Hosted Mail Gateway

Having used Spam fighter outlook addin for many years we needed to try and resolve the massive amount of spam emails we were receiving so were advised to sign up for the Spam Fighter Hosted Mail Gateway. This does capture approximately 55% of all the spam email messages however fails to stop the other 45% of spam which means we were still spending large amounts of time sorting through emails. Spam Fighter Hosted Mail Gateway was not fit for the purpose.

As a Company we have now had to make a decision to move our email client to another provider who can and does capture 99.2% of spam messages allowing us to return to a normal working environment.
We did request a refund for the second and third year of payment made to Spamfighter, Yet they failed to honour this.

Any Company considering Spamfighter Hosted Mail Gateway should be very careful, the admin portal is very outdated and the technical support and sales support both are run by the same person.
