I ordered a spare part for my Bosch Washer on 10 Aug and received an email back from their customer support shortly after apologizing as the last item that they had in stock was damaged and that they would order a replacement one which would ship early the following week. They also said in the email that they would speak to the manager about a discount for the delay or I could cancel my order and get a full refund.

I wrote back the next morning and said I was happy to wait and hear back about the discount.

After hearing nothing for a week I emailed customer service and asked for an update on the part. I got a quick reply back from them saying that the warehouse was unpacking the order 'now' and they would send it out asap. No mention of the discount they were going to try and sort originally for the delay.

Another two weeks later I still had net received the part and emailed customer service again chasing. Again the response was that they had just received the order from the supplier and that it would be dispatched shortly with no mention of the discount they were going to try and sort for the delay.

I responded back querying that I had the same response two weeks ago and why it had not shipped then as well as the discount. The response I received was that they 'have completely mixed up emails', that they now 'will not by getting the part back in stock at all', 'I apologies for this', and that they will issue an immediate refund.

The part is still listed as in stock online and can be ordered.

Whilst I understand if they are no longer able to get the part in stock and appreciate the refund (I am awaiting to receive it), the time that it has taken to get to this point and that all the chasing has been instigated by myself is terrible customer service. Would not recommend.

UPDATE: It took over a week to receive a refund and again I only got a response once I chased it. When chased, the reply I received was that the refund has been made and apologies for the delay. I then received a refund to my PayPal shortly after.

I inadvertently ordered the wrong part, in a rush before I left on a holiday.

Part arrived quickly, big son found, daft dad, wrong bit.

Return accepted with ease and immediate refund sorted. Very grateful, couldn't ask for better.

very well accomplished company, i rang up asking about a part and was directed to sending an enquiry to the technical team. They advised me within the hour on what part it was i needed for my appliance and also sent me the link.

As an update Spares for appliances did eventually send me a replacement when I threatened a bad review, and agreed the original part was defective but I feel I shouldn't have had to go through the long and painful process before we got to that point.

Spent £20 on a new washing machine control knob which doesn't fit my machine even though it's the correct part number. so i emailed asking if they could send a replacement.they asked me to send photos and a written explanation which I did over the course of 3 days. Here I am 10 emails and 6 photos later and they have still refused to send a replacement or refund saying i just need to try pushing it on with more force. Believe me when i say I tried every which way to get the control knob on the machine but it's just defective and doesn't fit.

Despite being advertised on the website as being suitable the delivered part turned out to be incorrect.
Contacting the company by phone has been extremely difficult - 20+ attempts with no-one picking up and the phone eventually timing out.
Finally made contact by E-mail.
I was asked if I would withdraw my previous critical review which I declined to do because the issue had not been resolved.
Since then there has been a failed collection attempt because my name and cell number had not been forwarded to the MyHermes driver.
A new collection has not been provided despite repeated E-mail requests.
My opinion of the company and this review has further deteriorated due to the amount of time and effort being wasted chasing for information and the terrible customer service this company appear to consider acceptable.
I cannot recommend this company to anyone based on my experience.

Different companies had different part numbers for a cooker door. Spares4appliances took the whole serial number and code and contacted Hotpoint. When they got the door out to send it was damaged. They contacted me straightaway and ordered and other and sent next day service. It was really well packed.

I wish all online stores (or high st shops) gave this type of service. I don't mind if things go wrong as long as people do everything possible to put it right without asking me to keep phoning and chasing them.

I will use again.

Ive used this company a couple of times now, and I have to say im impressed!
I've been able to fix my broken appliances so cheaply, and using the next day delivery service was quick and easy!

Ordered a part, contacted them nearly 2 weeks later to see the delay and they hadn't even posted it yet.

2 weeks wasted.

Firstly, when we put the part number for the Bosch basket onto the Google search engine, their very first page showed us all the details we needed. We didn't have to trawl through 97 other pages to find it. Great web design.
Secondly, they offered us a 5% discount. It was a pleasure shopping with them. :)
Thirdly, although we didn't ultimately get a basket for our dishwasher, as it was no longer available from their supplier, we were instantly refunded with the payment we had made up front.

Found product (oven grill) quickly, as I had bought one in the past. Didn't need to contact cs so can't comment on that. Good price and was delivered next day even though 2nd class. Well packaged. No issues so no need for aftersales. All in, a good experience.

I ordered a fridge freezer shelf for Smeg fridge freezers. There were no dimensions on the website but on seeing it was compatible with my model I ordered it, only to receive the item and have it be too big.

I needed to order a replacement, so checked other items on the website - still no dimensions so I contact customer services to ask for them. I was simply told 'they didn't have the measurements for this item'. I responded asking if they could measure the item for me and was told they couldn't do that as the warehouse was in another location.

Now to me - a customer services team shoul attempt to do what they can to ensure a sale and keep customers happy. Fortunately I have located the item on other websites to confirm the dimensions, something the team could have done for me.

It's a shame as the prices are good and the postage was not only quick but packaged very securely to ensure my item didn't break.

Edit (Apr 2023): This review was for the company with registration 06676431 which was dissolved on 25 June 2019. A new company with registration 14702046 started using the same name in March 2023.

Ordered a replacement part for a fridgefreezer. Item that was arrived was slightly different from the part I was replacing (cosmetic difference rather than functional).

Communication from Spares4appliances could have been better. No information provided for 4-5 days after I ordered. After I queried it on day 4, I got confirmation it was shipping that day. Arrived the next day in a huge box (very good protection). Email notification about shipping arrived the next day! So some disconnects in their IT systems it seems.

Would probably use again.

Item pricing and speed of delivery good. After sales service very poor. Item delivered damaged. Contracted customer service several times. Took weeks to get initial response. Responded with additional info they asked for, no response. Chased up, no response. Wouldn't shop with them again.
