I was dubious at first but...

I was dubious at first, I bought a mac for an early xmas present and I did my research to make sure everything was legit. Genuinely was the best refurb I have ever seen. My boyfriend is so happy. If you are considering getting a mac, get it from here. The customer service was quick and don't read the negative reviews.

I also never do reviews but I defo think this one deserved one. I have won some serious girlfriend points! But doesn't come with a mouse or keyboard, which is fine you can get cheap ones easy - just make sure you read the fine print!!!

Ordered a cheap monitor and it arrived within days, beautifully and securely packaged and is working just fine. No problem at all, satisfied customer :)

Do anything to get out of a refund.

I bought an iMac, had to get it sent back as it didn't work at all. Wouldn't even get past start up..

Decided I wanted a refund. Use an old PayPal email for an old business that doesn't exist anymore to purchase as a guest as I don't have an account with them. They tried to say I'm under a business account terms and I sent the item back too late. Rude on the phone too when I first spoke to them tried to make out the as well I sent it back too till I bought up the dates with him. Then all of a sudden he didn't deal with returns and would get someone who does to call me back. Didn't get a call just a message saying they won't refund my money because of business terms.

Have escalated to paypal. Refurbished goods are rubbish and will do anything to get out of refunding you.

Will not buy again.

Now for the facts:

The buyer purchased the item under a limited company name for both the payment and the entity to be invoiced (who would do this if the company doesn't exist?). We assume this is because the buyer would probably be accounting for the item as a business expense and tax right off!

We have very clear business terms and conditions on our site to which the customer did not want to adhere. We offered to retrieve the item and repair any faults to which the buyer agreed. We made the necessary arrangements and shipped the iMac back to us. We put it through our tech dept and made all the necessary repairs and the iMac was working perfectly.

When we came to return the iMac, the buyer wanted it sent to a totally different address. Because of the PayPal seller protection policy, we have to ship back to the original address. The buyer became overly angry and insisted we send to the other address, and when we refused he insisted on a refund. We referred to the terms of sale and said we had agreed the repair and return and not a refund. Buyer reneged on everything and opened a PayPal case for a refund which we gave anyway.

Another dishonest customer leaving inaccurate reviews.

Don't make a claim under there warranty…

Don't make a claim under there warranty as they accused me of damaging the laptop I had bought. Don't want to help but want more money to put the problem right Avoid

Now for the facts:

Laptop was purchased, put through our usual QA and dispatched. The buyer had the laptop for 3 weeks and then contacted us to say 2 cracks appeared in the screen! We requested pictures of the screen to see the alleged damage. The pictures received seemed to show a huge gouged scratch in the screen. Clearly this didn't just appear and obviously something had physically caused this.

Naturally we replied to say that this wasn't on the screen when dispatched and must have happened, and judging by the severity of the scratch, any buyer would have reported this immediately upon opening the item, not use it 3 weeks then report it.

The buyer then followed up immediately to say there was a problem with the AC Adapter. Again we asked for pictures of the adapter, it looked like it has either been sucked through the carpet beater of a vacuum cleaner, or a dog had chewed it up! Again this was not the condition the adapter had been sent out. Nonetheless, as a gesture of goodwill, we sent another fully tested AC Adapter to the buyer, who subsequently then said it didn't work either and by now just wanted to send the item back.

We followed our procedure as always and asked the buyer to return the item. Once we received it, we checked the item and the AC Adpater was working fine and so was the laptop, however it had clearly been damaged on the screen by the buyer and this was something we were not responsible for.

We confirmed tot he buyer that the item was fully tested and working and had no issues at all and we shipped the item back. The buyer refused to accept the delivery and wrote 'DICK' on the couriers terminal acknowledging the refusal. The buyer then opened a PayPal case demanding a refund. We provided all of the necessary case files and pictures and won the case comfortably.

The buyer was extremely awkward throughout and clearly there was never an issue wit the item, they just wanted to return the item and tried to make out there were issues that didn't exist, all of which was vindicated in the PayPal case which examined all the facts.

Fantastic monitor

Fantastic monitor. Exactly as described in terms of its Grade A categorisation. Screen immaculate with virtually no sign of use elsewhere. Packaging was extremely thorough and a great deal of effort had gone into preventing damage in transit. This is very greatly appreciated and it is quite clear that Spartan appreciate the rigours if the shipment process. We done.

Beware!! Buy elsewhere. Poor customer service and product

Although the computer bought arrived, it was missing user details. The real trouble started when it didn’t function correctly. The iMac kept cutting out they wouldn’t look at it unless I sent it back at my own cost and then said I would have to pay for repairs. I had used it for less than a month so this is not required.
I am disabled and couldn’t carry it to the shop post office. They refused to help. Lost all my work, since it won’t turn on. It died before I got to back it up again. Expensive door stop. Did some research and the ceo at the time I saw had been part of this kind of conduct towards customers like this before. It was even in the newspapers. Shame I didn’t see this before. Hope this review helps. Disappointed with the lack of after care. Update this review has removed three specific words that upset Spartanoutlet. Not trustworthy in my experience. If you are looking for a good price buying from them will cost you more in the long run in my experience

Samsung S24D300HL 23.6" Monitor

Having been very pleased with my first purchase I was a little disappointed with this one. Monitor was shipped in good time but I had not realised that the "without lead" actually meant without power supply. My fault "caveat emptor"
I rang the support desk to be told this and was given a link to ebay where I could buy a PSU for this type. Obviously adding to the price and delaying the point at which I could actually switch the monitor on and try it for a further 9 days.
Anyway now that it is on the monitor itself is exceptionally good for a C1

Meets the HP specification

Meets the HP specification, but not quite a clean as I expected.
Spartan provided a WiFi dongle but specification did not include Bluetooth,
Nowhere to install a second HD.
