Inmiddels biedt Specsavers in 139 plaatsen hoorzorg. Alle winkels worden geleid door volledig gediplomeerde StAr-geregistreerde audiciens, die de klant begeleiden bij een correcte hooraanpassing.

Went to the store in Morrisons Lincoln. Got there 20 mins early and had my pre exam straight away. Then told to wait to see optician. After about 20 mins I noticed the que was extremely long and not moving at all in front of me so asked if I would be seen on time as I was on my lunch break. Was then told no chance as they were running at least 30 mins late. Good job I asked as the information was not given to me. Had to leave as couldn't wait as could see the que wasn't moving at all. If you give an appointment time then stick to it or inform people as soon as they arrive.

I had an eye test today, in Specsavers Basingstoke, the experience was well explained and professional. The young assistant, Chipo, was very helpful when choosing my glasses and explained all the options available to me very clearly.

Optician was great , couldn't fault in anyway (Emanuelle) . My husbands optician however forgot to add his voucher resulting in us having to return to store . Upon our 2nd visit we were informed it still hadn't been added and the optician had left for lunch . We were then advised which glasses we could choose from went through all the measurements etc then to be told we couldn't actually have the ones chosen . Non of the advisors seemed to know actually what they were doing .We left and went elsewhere

They could not supply a small nut for a screw that had dropped off a pair I bought 8 months ago. The screw will eventually fall out since it has nothing to grip against and the temple will fall off. Planned obsolescence, I guess.

Over 100 pounds for varifocal glasses from spec savers . About 4 months ago and they are rubbish . Lenses keep falling out. Had to drive 30 miles on holiday to find a spec savers to have them repaired..repair lasted a day. Now wrapped in fishing gut and glue. Today the same thing happened to other side . Same repair . Cheapest rubbish . Well rubbish but not so much cheap.

For five tears I have visited Specsavers for a hearing test and every time I see a different assitant I developed a hearing abnomally playing the piano. The upper octaves were sounding out of tune.. The piano was checked and it appeared that the problem was my hearing . I discussed the problem with 3 different people and they could not solve the problem. One said my hearing aids could not accomodate the higher frequency, further more one did not have the courage to suction out a wax build up as he had only been doing the job 18 months. I went elseware and the job was done with no problem.
The last checkup was a success, the assitant understood the problem, made adjustments and my problem was solved. .I can now play the piano again

I recently purchased two pairs of varifocal glasses from Specsavers. Shortly after receiving them, I began experiencing vision problems and returned to the store twice for checks. On both occasions, I was told that the glasses were fine and that I simply needed time to get used to them.
Later, for an unrelated reason, I had my glasses checked by an independent optician. He immediately noticed a serious fitting issue: the midpoint for the left lens was positioned at the top corner of the frame. The right lens was fine, but the left lens alignment was highly inaccurate. This is not a matter of adaptation—this is a clear measurement or manufacturing error.
Given that Specsavers use automated measuring equipment, this problem should have been obvious during either of my two follow-up visits. Instead, my concerns were dismissed. When I later requested a refund, Specsavers processed it immediately, which is the best part of their service. (I dont want to comment more)
This experience has left me questioning how I can trust Specsavers again. Precision is critical with varifocals, and the error in my left lens could have been avoided with proper checks. Fortunately, I had not thrown away my old glasses, which I have had to continue using.

SPECSAVERS Northampton, Abington Street Store. I asked about a home visit for my 89 year old father who has mixed dementia. Appointment was made, they did not turn up, when I queried this they said I should have gone to the store, even though they were informed it was a home visit for an elderly dementia patient. I called the other No Specsavers gave me and was told I had made a mistake, they had no appointment for that area for this date. I spoke to the Manager she said she would get someone else from their Specsavers home visit team to call me, which they did. I was told it had to be in 8 weeks time which was the earliest they had, I asked for a 09:00 a.m. appointment I was told they could not guarantee they had to map the route out for this area. I asked them if that date was completely empty, could the map not be used as my fathers first point of call. I was told no they may change it to the afternoon, Dad is a Sundowner and a PM appointment would not work, I asked if they could be more flexible and was told no that was the best they could do. I have now found an alternative company who do home visits, were happy to give me a 09:00 appointment on a date that suits. My father has been going to Specsavers for over 30 years I am extremely disappointed in them, spoke to the Mgr of Abington Street Store, (Becca), Northampton and told her we were no longer going to use them she just said OK will send your fathers prescription. Not impressed with Specsavers and would not recommend them after being a loyal customer for 30 years, their outside visit team advertise on TV were here for you, but when it is a patient with Dementia they cannot be flexible with an appointment to suit. So they are not here for us, all I was asking for was flexibility and making an appointment time to suit the patient.

I used Specsavers as they had an offer of 20% discount for over 60s. The staff were friendly and obliging however I was disappointed with my frames. I selected a style that suited me but upon collection it was apparent that they did not fit properly. I returned for adjustment and was told that this was all they could do. They still didn’t fit properly and upon comparison with my old glasses you could see the frames were slightly smaller. At other opticians measurement have been taken for the frames.

Poor customer service! Biggleswade store Enquired to have my ear checked to see if wax was an issue asked to register … right near the entrance with everyone in the queue hearing my name and phone number being shared! Asked to take a seat … 15 minutes later told ‘sorry we can’t do it today’ 🤷♀️

Managed to break the arm of my spectacles yesterday. Am going to Canada early Tuesday next week. Contacted Specsavers Bath who repaired them on the day at no charge. Superb customer service by every one of the 4 staff involved.

Have worn glasses for 40+ years and used Specsavers for 1st time about 3 years ago, buying 2 pairs of glasses from them. Recently started using 2nd pair and they have the worst pair of glasses I have ever known. Cheap rubbish that, frames that are bent and don't stay on face. Keep messaging me to say I need a new eye test but won't be touching them with a barge pole

My initial visit to the store Castle Vale store (30/06/25), I was told that my one ear required more oil treatment to enable removal. I had to rebook for the following week (07/07/25) and continue to use ear oil 3 x daily. I was made to pay the whole amount (£60) and told all further visits would be free of charge.
I received a call yesterday (06/07/25) from the store reminding me of my appointment for today at 15:30.
This morning, I received another call from the store stating my appointment has been cancelled due to staff sicknesses. They booked me in at another branch (Chelmsley Wood) for the 19th July, as they had nothing available before I depart for my holiday on 9th July.
I decided to check other stores for availability and noticed another local store to me (Erdington) had availability for tomorrow. I called back the store to advise I would like the appointment moved to the Erdington store, only to be told that it is not part of their franchise and they would only refund me part of the £60 as there would be a £25 triage fee. So, I now have to pay the full £60 again at another Specsavers store.
This is appalling, especially as the store cancelled my appointment.

had a wonderful experience at Specsavers Best. I came in for an eye exam, and the optometrist was incredibly thorough and professional. The examination helped significantly in identifying an issue that later required hospital treatment and surgery — without their attention to detail, I might not have caught it in time. I’m truly grateful.
They also helped me choose the perfect pair of glasses — not only stylish, but also extremely comfortable and well-suited to my needs. The entire team was warm, welcoming, and very helpful. Everyone spoke excellent English, which made everything so much easier for me.
There’s a very family-friendly and relaxed atmosphere at this location, and you really feel that they care about each individual customer.

I had a poor experience with Specsavers Firth Park. The staff were friendly when I first visited and paid, but the aftercare let everything down. The glasses I chose were discontinued without proper notice, and it took a long time to get a replacement. Each time I asked for an update, I was told they would contact me — but no one ever did. My husband eventually went in to check, and they simply gave him the glasses. There was no fitting appointment or check to make sure they suited me. Very unprofessional and disappointing overall
