We had an issue with our internet connection dropping for the past few months. We bought a new wifi router thinking that would solve and it did not. We called charter to get an apt. And on a sunday, they had a technician out to our house within an hour. Eric was our technician and he was kind, respectful and even showed my son who has autism how to connect the new modem inwith the wires and explained step by step what he was doing. He showed true compassion and care for our home and our internet issues. I am very pleased with the way Eric fixed our issues. He was an amazing technician to be called out at 5 pm on a sunday! Thank you charter and Eric! Appreciate you more than you know.

My transition to Spectrum was absolutely the BEST!

My transition to Spectrum was very easy! No frustration at all. The representatives were so knowledgeable and friendly! I sooo hope customer support reps are just as helpful and kind. The price plans are absolutely affordable! And there’s a great 1-year promotion right now! I am very satisfied with my decision to come to Spectrum!

Spectrum sent out a technician for an…

Spectrum sent out a technician for an issue totally unrelated to what the problem or request was. He called his supervisor and he was rude and did not care about our original request and we have not heard back from anyone at spectrum. So was our originally call closed without a follow through even though it has not been resolved. We don't know we haven't heard from anyone except to fill out a review which I was very happy to do. Bad customer service and no solution.

Spectrum asked for additional details so I am posted that information here:

The primary purpose of our service request is proactive safety. The Spectrum utility box that houses the internet and service cables is located at the base of our driveway. Because the driveway extends past the box, delivery drivers and visitors frequently have close calls when maneuvering or backing out, creating a significant risk that the box will be struck, damaged, and cause a service outage.
Before scheduling an appointment, we spoke with a Spectrum field crew working on our street. They agreed with our safety concern and explicitly recommended that we call customer service to request that the pedestal box be removed and the lines buried underground.
We followed their advice and submitted a formal request on October 28. Shortly after, we received an official confirmation email titled, "Burying your cable underground: what to expect," which outlined the exact process.
However, the execution on October 29 was completely mishandled:
• Incorrect Dispatch: The technician who arrived stated he was only dispatched to troubleshoot our active internet connection, entirely missing the purpose of the appointment.
• Unprofessional Supervisor Behavior: When the technician called his supervisor to clarify the request, the supervisor was openly rude and dismissive. Overhearing the conversation, the supervisor expressed frustration in an irritated tone, asking if the box had already been run over or damaged, rather than addressing a clear hazard.
• Zero Follow-Up: Since that visit, we have received no communication from Spectrum.
We are left entirely in the dark. We need a supervisor from the construction or underground routing department to contact us to confirm if this safety issue is being addressed, or if our ticket was prematurely closed without resolution.

From AT&T After 15+ Years to Spectrum

From AT&T After 15+ Years to Spectrum — One of the Best Decisions I’ve Made!

After being a loyal AT&T home internet customer for over 15 years, I finally decided it was time for a change. For the last 2–3 years, my internet speeds had been absolutely terrible, and I was constantly dealing with a service that simply wasn’t meeting my household’s needs.

I’ll admit, I was extremely hesitant about switching to Spectrum because of all the negative reviews I had read. But honestly, making this switch has been one of the best decisions I’ve made!

The entire process was surprisingly easy. When I logged into the Spectrum website, everything was clearly laid out. I was able to review my options, accept my offer, and schedule my installation appointment without having to call anyone or speak to a representative. Everything was straightforward.

Within 3–4 business days, my technician arrived on time and got my service activated very quickly.

My installation did require a second appointment because they needed to run a new line and bury the cable underground in my area. However, what really impressed me was that Spectrum made arrangements to provide temporary internet service from a nearby home while I waited for the permanent line to be installed.

That meant I didn’t have to go without internet during those additional three days!

And honestly, those three days were enough to convince me that I had made the right decision. My son is a big gamer, so having reliable internet and good speeds is extremely important in our household. Even during the temporary setup, we were already impressed with the service.

Once the permanent installation was completed, everything continued working beautifully. I’ve now had Spectrum for about a week and a half, and I haven’t experienced any issues.

The biggest difference? I went from 100 Mbps with my previous provider to 1,000 Mbps with Spectrum!

Even my son keeps telling me how amazing the internet is, and coming from a household with a serious gamer, that’s saying something! 😂

I know every experience is different, but I can honestly say that mine has been excellent so far. From the easy online signup to the technicians, installation process, temporary service, and internet performance, Spectrum has exceeded my expectations.

I was nervous about making the switch, but I wish I had done it sooner. So far, I’m one extremely satisfied customer!

Spectrum put procedure ahead of customer safety

After nearly a decade as a personal Spectrum customer-and several decades of business relationships with the company-I expected meaningful assistance when I needed reliable cellular service abroad. Instead, I encountered an inflexible policy and an escalation process that provided no actual escalation.

I purchased an expensive, four-figure iPhone 18 Pro through Spectrum Mobile. While in Mallorca for an extended stay, I discovered that its carrier lock prevented me from activating a local Spanish eSIM from Orange or Movistar.

That matters because, during an earlier visit to Spain, Spectrum's international coverage left me without cellular service in an unfamiliar small town at night. I found that experience frightening and potentially dangerous. A Spectrum representative later advised me to use a local Orange or Movistar eSIM for more reliable service.

Spectrum now says that I must both pay off the device completely and wait until it has been active for 60 days-November 18 in my case-before it can be unlocked. I offered to pay the remaining balance immediately, but Spectrum still refused to authorize an immediate unlock.

An unlock ticket was opened on October 30. On October 31, I received an automated email saying the request had been "completed," but the phone remains SIM-locked.

I escalated the matter repeatedly and contacted Charter CEO Chris Winfrey and other executives. The escalation representative repeated the same policy, later contacted me again without offering a different solution, and declined my request for a referral to someone in management with decision-making authority.

I understand that Spectrum publishes its unlocking requirements. I am not claiming that the policy is illegal. My complaint is that Spectrum refused to exercise meaningful judgment for a longstanding, verifiable customer willing to pay off the device, even after I explained the safety and reliability concerns.

An escalation department that cannot reconsider, resolve, or escalate a problem is simply another layer of scripted customer service.

I am requesting an immediate unlock upon full payment and written confirmation of the phone's actual unlock status. Prospective customers should carefully consider Spectrum's unlocking restrictions before purchasing a phone through the company. Buying an unlocked device directly from the manufacturer may provide considerably more flexibility.

After decades of loyalty, this experience has seriously damaged my confidence in Spectrum.

Most annoying company to work with in the world

The actual service is okay (not good) but it's not worth it because spectrum constantly calls and sends representatives to my apartment with "new deals" and "bundles" and "more ways to save money", so often that it's practically harassment at this point. They call 3 times a week, minimum, with these new "offers", and they've sent 2 different people to knock on our apartment door and pester us in just 5 months living here. And if you're late on a payment, forget about ever knowing peace again. If you're late on a payment they WILL call you 3-5 times every single day until you're caught up, weekends included. Their automatic dialing system has called me at 9pm, midnight, 3 am, and other ridiculous times, repeatedly. There's no way to opt out of the CONSTANT pestering. I've had to set 15 different phone numbers from spectrum to go straight to voicemail because I'm so tired of it ringing in the middle of the night.

The internet service is fine-ish. It goes down most nights around 2-3 am, signal is kind of spotty but not terrible, it gets the job done for the price I guess, but it really struggles with more than 3 devices at any time. The phone service is possibly the worst carrier I've ever used, even more so than verizon, and in an area with supposedly great coverage I can hardly ever make or receive calls with it, and I would never have it as my primary phone carrier (it's just used in a backup/work phone).

If there was any other affordable internet provider in my entire area I would switch today. They make everything so complicated and frustrating, and they can never just leave well enough alone.
