Failed...Again

Needed to hire two Mansafe Mobile Anchor systems at fairly short notice. Booked equipment on-line. That was the first mistake! On screen confirmation said delivery on one day, email confirmation said delivery the following day. Had to delay the job by a day. On delivery day, only half the order was delivered with a message to say remainder of order to be delivered on the following day. Following day, no delivery! Job put back another two days. Remainder of delivery turned up after the weekend. We don't use Speedy Hire very often but when we do, there is always a problem. It seems that you need to plan well in advance to hire equipment from Speedy Hire and that is not always possible. I have to say that this is the complete opposite to experience that we have with Speedy Fuels and Lloyds British.

Order wasn't there on pickup!

Arrived to pick up my order and it wasn't there and was told it had never even been officially ordered. The man who served us didn't seem to care and didn't provide any help or solution.

Booked a tiller for two days

Booked a tiller for two days, Thursday and Friday. Was not delivered until 20 past 3 in the afternoon. Was old when i rang the shop at 11:00 the van was in Fordingbridge and they had just completed the delivery there. Fordingbridge is approximately 45 minutes from where I live. Lost a whole days work. Spoke to the store about a refund of one days hire. Promised a call back, never recieved it. Also not informed of collection charge. Total con would not use again and advise anyone I know not to. If I could give zero stars I would.

Late delivery early collection

On the email they sent it was written that they collect the washer from 3 to 5 PM. And 9 o'clock in the morning guy is already knocking to my door. So they delivered it later than they should and collected earlier. So basically it wasn't even a whole week of rent.

I had to hire some specialist lifting…

I had to hire some specialist lifting equipment to lift a 1600Kg conveyor 3 Meters into the air and being based in the midlands was informed that I might have to collect from London. But after getting in touch with Rob from Nottingham he bent over backwards to help by arranging for the equipment to be sent to Leicester for collection, I am more than happy to give a 5 star rating

Reluctance

Tower has been delivered with missing parts what were essential for my builders safety. As it was weekend, polite lady on the phone just took a note and… nothing happened. On Monday the guy asked if I wanted a replacement. I didn’t know to cry or to laugh… the job had to be done on weekend and was finished. I have never met such a reluctant approach to a business. Of course they are huge and they don’t give a slightest damn because they just will go on. I was left extremely disappointed and relieved that nothing happened to the person who climbed unsafe tower. They are fast to remind their terms but don’t care about their duties to their customers at all!!!

Hired a powered hole borer to dig holes for posts for garden decking, very easy delivered quickly and on time took of hire early so got refund too money back in my account within 48 hours, very happy with all aspects of the hire and the staff

Called to ask for a price for a one man…

Called to ask for a price for a one man hoist, was put through to the Manchester hub after having exaplained to the first person what I wanted. The person that answered at Manchester hub could hardly be bothered.He said I needed to set up account before I could get a price- No problem, can we do that? Nope, needs to be done online and then call back, OK, so do you have a number to call back on when I've done that? He didn't know the number, 'just call back on the main number again and they'll transfer you over.' Strange sales technique to insist that someone making an active enquiry, get off the phone to jump through some hoops, but don't even give them the means to get back through to you directly, or even offer to call them back.
