Terrible and dismissive customer sevice
I have a Spigen Ultra Hybrid case for my S24 ultra. Within less than a year the back coating had begun to fail, which of course you wouldn't expect to normally happen on a Spigen case.
I contacted Spigen, and was met with a very dismissive response blaming this on 'normal' wear and tear. They wouldn't help any further and were adamant that it 'may' have been wear and tear.
I've used Spigen for many years and have always recommended their products. But having come across this defect and the non-existent help from their customer service team, I shall instead buy a different case as I no longer trust the quality of their products. I'll also no longer recommend these cases to others.
What is the point in offering a two year warranty if you refuse to honour it and claim everything is normal wear and tear?
Bad service
Unfortunately, one of the two glasses was defective. It can happen.
However, the "great customer service" listed here as a sales argument blames Amazon in a text module email and sees the matter as settled. This is not true, because the item was very well packaged.
I had a similar problem with amFilm a few years ago and their customer service helped me immediately. I regret buying from Spigen.
Appalling returns policy
I ordered a stand for a pixel watch, which I no longer required as the watch caused a rash - Spigen does not allow returns when you purchase an item via Amazon
Terrible shipping and fulfilment process
High shipping charges but terrible despatch service. Promises 1-2 day despatch but I’m still waiting 7 days later. Customer support response times are more than a day and then actually lies about shipped parcels stating they have been shipped but all that has happened is sending parcel information to courier. Parcel is not actually trackable and has been sitting like that for days. Never order directly from them.
Appalling customer service
I placed an order for a phone case 7 weeks ago & still haven’t received it. Despite numerous emails, the only meaningful response I received was from the USA customer support. However they only suggested contacting the same email address, I previously had no joy with. I have since been ignored by both the American & European support centres.
I have previously been pleased with this company’s products & service, but I am now resigned to losing my £19. I will never use them again & am advising anyone I know to do likewise.
I only gave them one star as there is no option to give less…avoid them at all costs!
Product goes yellow in months. Avoid.
I bought an iPhone 13 clear case from Spigen UK on eBay. Kept the phone in my pocket or on my desk at work. Within five months the entire case turned yellow. Spigen’s response? ‘That’s what they do, Sir.’ No replacement, no apology.
Avoid this company’s products. They don’t understand how to deliver good customer service.
Build quality has really gone down, and dont honor warranty
Build quality has really gone down in recent years and they try everything they can to avoid honoring the warranty. I used to love spigen but the current company is completely unrecognisable compared to what they used to be.
Trust me when I say buy from anyone else it's just not worth it anymore
Overheating and dangerous products....AVOID
DANGEROUS. I purchased a Spigen wireless charger for my Xperia 1 iii. After a month or so the charger malfunctioned and cooked my phone. Several sensors stopped working at exactly the same time which had all worked perfectly beforehand. The charger overheated so much the casing buckled which is a very worrying scenario. Spigen refunded (gosh, how generous) but despite sending photos showing the warped and overheated charger, refused to entertain fixing my phone unless I paid Sony a stupid amount for a tech report. Never again will I buy Spigen. If you value your tech then you won't either.
They do not respect their warranty.
They do not respect their warranty.
I sent a request under their warranty for coming apart an iPad Air case. The top and bottom came apart and there was no abrasion, nicks or marks around said damage and they said fair wear and tear. This is not when it comes unstuck and comes away with no tear. A disgrace. The company is acting completely with no regard to their customers
Terrible experience using Spigen
Purchased a screen protector on 13 May 2024
I haven’t received my order yet, they carrier Ascendia stopped posting updates
Spigen stopped responding to my messages.
I was charged $16.90 yet they decided to send my package by mail, which is unreliable.
I’ve lost $51.90 in total. I won’t use them ever again nor will I buy Spigen products locally.
Budget friendly, light, easy
Just got my Spigen case - iPhone 13 MagArmor Magfit case. Magnetized perfectly and feels smooth and thin unlike a lot of other much heavier cases. Also budget friendly! If it works out well, I’ll definitely be purchasing again.
Broken relationship
I have trusted Spigen for many years since I got my very first iPhone in 2014 until today.
For the first time in my life a phone of mine has fallen and both Spigen case and screen protector have failed. It was not even a long high distance easily 40 centimeters.
Find the pictures for proof.
My screen has ended up cracking , the “protector” did not protect anything and the iPhone has presented damage.
Again, please take a look to the pictures.
I am really disappointed with this one more time, I have proof of all my Spigen purchases if necessary.
I am hoping for someone from Spigen to at least reply to me so I understand what has happened and be respected as a client.
Respectfully.
Terrible customer service - NOT!
I bought a pack (of 2) screen protectors directly from Spigen EU through the Amazon portal.
When we applied the first one (after thoroughly preparing the phone’s screen - ensuring that it was clean, dry and free of dust and debris) we found the new one was contaminated. We have applied screen protectors in the past without incident - which implied poor quality control.
I contacted Spigen about this but I accidentally gave them the wrong order number and they were unable to verify my purchase. This resulted in an angry reaction from me and a very poor review here on Trustpilot - for which I apologise.
They subsequently reached out to me to offer me a full refund which I have accepted.
I am editing my original review to reflect that the company does care even when a customer gets it wrong. [I am only awarding 3⭐️ though because of the condition of the first screen protector.]
Awful customer service and products
Awful customer service and products
Please don't buy from them.
2 out of 2 cases have broke on me with minimal use.
The kickstand always come loose.
Contacted customer service but no help at all.
Not worth the money
Not worth the money, got the spigen iphone 15 clear magsafe case and within 2-3 months it has turned yellow, £49 and no different to a £5 ebay one, soent a bit more expecting it not to discolour being so expensive but I was wrong. Back to the cheap ebay cases again i think, exactly the same.
Do not buy from them
Do not buy from them! I ordered a product from them, waited for 3 weeks without any response to my emails. When they finally responded, they said the package got lost, and I would receive a refund, which they never sent. Therefore, I purchased the product from their competitor and received it quickly. A week later, the package miraculously appeared at my home, and now I'm stuck with two identical items. I still haven't received the refund! Terrible service, stay away from them.
False warranty
I contacted Spigen regarding a claim on the 2 year warranty. My mobile case was faulty and the case fell apart within 2 years. The side bumper came away from the plastic back. This happened without ever taking the case on/off. Once the case was in, it was left on until the bumper came away. I contacted Spigen, they made multiple excuses not to replace this under warranty. They said it has been used for too long!! Quote from Spigen customer service “In case you encounter any difficulties with our product within a short period of time in the future”. So what about the 2 year warranty perios?? They said it’s wear and tear!! Without addressing how this is wear and tear. Are they suggesting all Spigen case owners should expect for their case to fall apart like this? Spigen stated “we regret to inform you that incidents similar to what you experienced, where the phone case remained on the phone without being taken on or off, have not been identified or reported”. That is clearly not true having read other reviews on trustpilot. Conclusion: DO NOT PURCHASE. The warranty cover is false.
dont count on them in case of problems – warranty not respected
I got few spigen covers for iphone and airpods, they are usually ok but the airpods cover rubber started falling apart after one year of normal use
The interaction with their customer service was all but helpful, shuffling between customer care departments, asking more detailed picture without reason (the one I sent already showed the problem clearly). It feels like there is a lot of friction designed in the process so that people give up.
They finally declared it "normal wear and tear", I insisted as it was not a problem with aging/patina/discoluration or similar, but the product was broken to a point it could not assolve its function anymore, and its not acceptable after one year of use, its exactly the reason we have warranties.
So they instead declared it was "damaged due to an external cause such as a strong pressure or impact" and that "it is difficult to ascertain whether the issue was caused by a manufacturing defect".
Again they seem to go around to any extent to avoid respecting the warranty.
The black part of my case is…
The black part of my case is deteriorating. The top corner broke off and the other bottom two are coming apart from from the white part of the case.
Is this usual after 2 years wear?
These are great cases I've had several…
These are great cases I've had several thru out the years for all my phones and I haven't looked back since these are great I highly recommend them
