Disappointed By lack of dealer commitment
Arranged to view a used Burstner motorhome only to find that the internal features were not available due to flat battery . so arranged for a test drive the following day only to find that the main features were not available again !
Not impressed at all as the salesman said all would be fixed ready for handover after a non returnable deposit of £2k was paid.. This was a big disappointment as we were willing to buy the vehicle but not without the main features available to be demonstrated. Not prepared to commit a large sum of money on something that may be fixed.

Forget the rest Spinney is the best
During our search for a new van Spinney was the 4th and last centre we visited. Our experience with Spinney was poles apart from our experience at other centres, from the initial phone enquiry through to collection the treatment by all the team was consistent and reliable, no chasing staff and unreturned calls here.
Handover day went to plan on time with a fantastic handover by Neil, no questions were unanswered, a brilliant demonstration of the van. Then on to the final paperwork with Mark, no last minute surprises everything agreed was delivered simple and straightforward as was the delivery to site by Ian who made sure we were happy and asked if he could help with anything before leaving. All the people at Spinney we had contact with were fantastic, on the phone, in the shop, it doesn’t matter they always see if there’s anything they can help you with, Fantastic! We have been recommending Spinney to everyone who we know, a truly refreshing company to deal with.

Do not use this company
Do not use this company. Never reply to emails never return calls always in a meeting or off site when you need to speak to certain people.
Warranty work carried out and made a mess of it and had to go back again. Now van is damage and guess what …. It wasn’t us it must’ve been there before we had it. Liars and absolutely incompetent of carrying out work and looking after your pride and joy. Again DO NOT USE
The only people trustworthy at Spinney are Ann Ashton, Ian the delivery guy and Jo Wilson (now left) after many years there I believe

Having considered the matter, we are unable to accept liability for a small dent, approximately the size of a pen tip, on a caravan that has been in your ownership for over two years. Given the length of time that has elapsed since purchase, we are unable to determine when or how the damage occurred.

Very chaotic and excessiveivly long handover nobody seemed to know what was happening. Took over 6 hours with us kept waiting without any explanation from the staff. Having now got our caravan we have warranty issues that Spinneys are interested in sorting out. They always say “we’ll call you back” we are still waiting after several phone calls.

Really enjoyed our experience with Spinney Cheshire. We saw a motorhome we liked at a different branch. John arranged to bring across for us to view, went through the necessary details and 2 weeks later we were part exchanging our campervan and driving away in our new motorhome. Simon made sure the purchase of my campervan was a stress free and professional process, all the more reassuring as it was completed while I was half way around the world in New Zealand.

Not disable friendly no after care and none completion of work
Today June 17 i recieved a lovely phone call from a lady Sally Horgan who contacted me a week before about my handle and asked me to leave it with her and today my handle issue was sorted It gad been ordered and Sally was posting it to me as I requested do i could get it professionally fitted as a long way to go back to Spinney. She explained the whole aftercare procedures and ordering the handle which if someone had taken the time in the first place it would of helped with the anxiety, but obviously not the mobility issue and the fall.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I fell the first time I tempted to enter my new motorhome. Which was my dream motorhome and i was on the floor for quite a while i eventually managed with numerous help from family nembers to bum shuffle to step to be able to be assisted out this left me heartbroken as felt like a fool with no confidence in myself. So i bought myself a step with a handle to see if that would help me.
We have just come on our 2nd time out . I managed just to get in motorhome but for the next 5 days that we are away I will not be leaving motorhome in case I fall again .Have lost confidence in myself since my Initial fall. When we get back my husband will make contact if we haven't heard anything from yourselves

Went to Spinney advised by friends as they had a great experience with Spinney Deside.
Started of really well and sales man John Smith was good he was not pushy and we did a deal paid a deposit , and john Smith put on the sales invoice grab handle to be fitted due to me being disabled wheelchair bound alot of the time and second step alot higher would if given me additional suport and courage was even suggested by John Smith as on day of viewing I remained in my wheelchair as was not confident and did not want to fall as Spinney was extremely busy.So idea was brilliant.
Husband went to pick up motorhome and exchange ours. I recieve call from husband to say damp was found so needed to pay extra ,£1000 so I did this was advised that maybe I could get back from Autoguard who we had a year guarantee with did try but this was not the case did not cover damp .
Next thing no grab handle had been fitted told husband that they would do it if we came back as they needed to order one so oviously had ignored sales invoice.
Numerous phone calls emails still no grab handle not even been ordered.
Totally not disable friendly they have left a 61 year old lady disabled struggle to get in her new motorhome.
I have since bought a folding step with grip rail to assist me. If you are disabled then Spinney cheshire is not your place as they dont care they are great selling and even brag about sales they made day before we went but no after care .
