Thank you for a great caravan buying experience

Throughout the process of buying our caravan Barry Ansell supported us all the way and Tony provided a very detailed and comprehensive handover. Other staff members provided support from time to time and we have been well looked after. We would recommend Spinney in Silverdale very highly.

Great people and sales service

Picked up our brand new swift 630…

Picked up our brand new swift 630 grande from Warwickshire branch Richard the sales man was very helpful throughout the process and Alan on hand over was very nice and gave some helpful tips and showed how everything works as we were not used to the systems

Just collected our caravan today

Just collected our caravan today, Sprite Major 4SB from Stafford Branch of Spinney. From Sales(Andy and Barry) to Customer Handover (Tony) what a relaxing and professional experience.
They are trully The 'A' Team!!!
This was our first experience of buying a caravan from a Main Dealer and I would return again and recomend to friends and family, if you are looking for a quality used caravan at a competitive price.
Well done everyone including the Staff in the shop and the Service Technicians who we met.

Grest service again

Grest service again, sue has sorted out all our things that needed to be done on our caravan. We are so pleased. Sue has such great customer service .

Amazing service

Such an easy and simple process and a good selection of motorhomes and caravans, but the staff were all excellent and very helpful and very knowledgable on every aspect of every product. I would use them again when needed

From start to finish I felt that I was…

From start to finish I felt that I was important to this company. Everything was in place for the handover and the tutorial by Clive was comprehensive and unhurried. What excellent service looks like

Met Connor briefly at the Rushden branch then again at NEC where a deal was struck . I was very happy with the deal . Connor was open and honest and we soon had a good rapport. On collecting my new van l met Sue at the service reception who soon made me feel valued. So all in all the journey was accurate, honest and joyful so thank you Spinney

We are sorry to hear you are unhappy regarding the outstanding balance on your recent campervan purchase. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify the situation.

This vehicle was purchased at the NEC show in October 2025 and the agreement included your part exchange vehicle. The deal was agreed on the condition that there were no issues or concerns relating to your part exchange vehicle at the time of final inspection.

However, upon inspection, it was identified that your part exchange vehicle had water ingress present. As a result, the part exchange price had to be reduced to accurately reflect the condition of the vehicle. This adjustment is what led to the outstanding balance that was requested.

We understand that this may be disappointing, but the revised valuation was necessary based on the condition found during the inspection process and in line with the terms agreed at the time of purchase.

Disappointed with Spinney

We ordered our new Bailey Pegasus Black Edition Amalfi back in October 2025 and dealt with Andy Wooldridge and all was an absolute breeze. We ordered it with a new motormover and also diamondbrite. We part exchanged our old Bailey Pegasus Ancona and Andy arranged the finance for us and we was really excited about purchasing our new van.

We took our old caravan back to be exchanged on Tuesday 10th March 2027 as our new van had arrived on site and was met by Barry Ansell who again was lovely and got on really well with him and he went through the final stages off making sure all was ok and prepared everything ready for the collection of our new van on Tuesday 17th March 2027. Also nice to bump into Andy who dealt with us from day one.

Everything was going great until we picked our new van up on the day, we arrived and we first was greeted by Andy who said I need to apologise but the Diamondbrite hasn't been done but would arrange for it to be sorted. Myself and my partner Danielle was happy and said not to worry but hoped it would get sorted.

We was then greeted by Barry and then introduced to Tony who went and showed us around the new van and explained how everything worked and answered any questions we had, he was great and thanks Tony.

Only one problem, one of the seat cushions had a thread so we reported this to Barry and he got onto Bailey for us for a replacement, this was the second problem we had but we thought not to worry it would get sorted but a bit shocked that a brand new cushion in a brand new van was damaged but now a days nothing shocks us anymore, it is the times.

Next we was told by Tony that a number plate couldn't be attached as Spinneys number plate creator was broke but was happy to get some cardboard and write my number plate number on it, I wasn't happy about this and looked online where I could get a number plate done, Halfords yes great they can do one, only problem I didn't have my log book with me, so when finalising everything with Barry he managed to locate our old number plate off our old Bailey Ancona that we returned the week prior and he stuck that on for us, great at least we can get it home and then I can order one.

Barry put our 2 wheel clamp sockets onto our new van which was great and Andy came out and helped me hitch the caravan up, Barry tested the lights and great off we went.

We parked our van at the storage yard and headed home for the afternoon to pick our girls up from school. The next day we returned to our new van to sort everything out and start putting our contents in, Danielle went into the van to lay the new carpets down and they wouldn't fit, so she shouted me from inside as I was sorting things out outside and was cursing why the carpets wouldn't fit, I checked the label that was attached to them and guess what they where the wrong carpets, they where for a different model so got hold off Barry at Spinney and he said not a problem he would sort it and asked me to send photos over of the carpets and the label. For goodness sake another problem.

I then went into the gas bottle storage to put our gas bottles in and was totally shocked to find a gas bottle from Spinney was still in there, not strapped down and still connected to the new van and to top it off, the gas bottle was still on. Thank god we didn't have a crash on the way back as the van could have exploded. Luckily there was no damage In the locker from the bottle being loose.

Thankfully yesterday (Saturday 21st March 2027) after numerous emails to Barry at Spinney chasing the Diamondbite up Barry finally got the Diamondbite people to arrange for them to come out and dIamondbrite our new van on Tuesday 14th April 2026 nearly a month from picking up the new van.

In all we love our new Bailey Amalfi but very disappointed with Spinney with regards to pre collection, everything should have been checked, Diamondbrite should have been done and the van sorted ready for collection.

I felt we was rushed to get the van, they had the money from the finance company and off you go without everything being properly checked.

We both would have been happy waiting a bit longer for everything to be sorted perfectly and it would have been it a fantastic experience but feel let down.

So anyone ready this and purchasing a caravan from Spinney, please make sure you check everything first, carpets etc and ask questions with Spinney and get them to check everything out before and during collection.

Again Andy, Barry and Tony where a pleasure to deal with and I would deal with them again, myself and Danielle have learned a lesson so will make sure everything is done properly the next time we buy another caravan and won't be collecting one until everything is done and sorted properly and hope Spinney sort and check everything out in future before getting a customer to collect a new caravan.

That said, we are genuinely sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during collection. While it’s great to know our team looked after you personally, we fully acknowledge that the preparation of your caravan fell below the standard both you and we expect.

The points you’ve raised regarding the incomplete Diamondbrite treatment, incorrect carpets, damaged cushion, number plate issue, and most importantly the unsecured gas bottle, are all extremely concerning. In particular, we take the safety aspect of your experience very seriously, and we sincerely apologise for the oversight. This is not reflective of our usual pre-delivery inspection process.

We completely understand your frustration and disappointment, especially after what had otherwise been a smooth and exciting purchasing experience. You are absolutely right — everything should have been fully checked, completed, and ready before handover, and we regret that this was not the case.

Please be assured that your feedback has been shared with our management and PDI Team. We are reviewing our pre-collection procedures to ensure stricter checks are carried out so that situations like this do not happen again.

We’re glad that the outstanding items are now in hand, including the Diamondbrite appointment, and that Barry has been assisting in resolving the issues raised. If there is anything further you feel remains unresolved, please do not hesitate to contact us directly — we are committed to putting things right.

Great customer care & quality facilities

We’ve been researching & scouting for our caravan option for some time, Spinney had what we wanted at a competitive price. But I was struck almost immediately by the quality, service & professionalism of their venues & staff. They clearly look to build a long term relationship with customers.
