Don’t just turn up

Visited Poole Splashdown yesterday with my son. Beware, you have to book online and no internet in building. Dont just turn up like us because they will turn you away. Once I went outside in the rain to get a wifi reception, booked the tickets we had a good time, albeit freezing cold but that was more time of year than anything.

relived my youth

Visited Splashdown Poole a lot as a child and always had the best time. Recently went back as an adult with some friends and we had the best time. Felt like a child again and it was as good as I remembered. So many options available and no time to get bored. It was busy but didn't feel crowded and everywhere felt clean. Can't wait to plan my next visit.

Run down with Hugh prices

It would cost £38 to take my 3 year old here, I used to love coming here as a kid but now it’s all run down, zero investment and all they have done is increase the prices…

Splashdown Quaywest

My kids really enjoyed the waterpark my friends thought I was abroad. Staff are all lovely and pleasant. The flumes are amazing. Enjoyed our Dayout in Paigton. A lot of my friends are coming down as soon I posted the water park in my IG & FB story .

We had a fantastic afternoon at Splashdown, Paignton yesterday. So much fun, they have a range of rides which are lots of fun and the new pirate area for smaller water sliders is brilliant. The best we’ve ever been to.
Facilities are clean, maintained and the staff are friendly. Thanks for a great time, we’ll be back!

Splashdown - we love it

We really enjoy splashdown, go there often. Love that the kids get 3 hours there for £20. Seems like a long time but they don't get bored. Love the sunset swims where you can have 3pm until closing time (more than 3 hours) still for £20. I always just sit in the spectator area and have my free coffee plus a cold fizzy. Floor is wet but what do you expect. My son says the floor in the changing room is wet and a bit dirty but he's fine with that. He says if the wristband machines aren't working there's always staff to tell you when to go. He's says he never noticed small stones around the place. I've always found staff to be very friendly. Only things that gross is the toilets, especially when my jeans drag on the floor. Wet and soggy bits of tissue around. As a spectator i usually go next door to Hollywood bowl for the toilet. I would love it if they had a dedicated toilet cleaner to monitor and sort out the toilets every hour. That would make the visit perfect.

Expensive fun

It was a fun but expensive day out - sadly ruined by a lack of any crowd control resulting in my son being barged around by large stag parties.

Also the number of loose small stones throughout the park means you kept stepping on them which really hurts. Maybe management need to review what’s decoration and a painful trip hazard.

Could be so much more with some better attention to detail

Visited here for my nieces 4th…

Visited here for my nieces 4th birthday. We managed to enjoy ourselves at the end, however, the way we were treated couldn't make our stay 100%. We were allowed to get onto the lazy river slide, halfway through, we were rudely told to get off. I injured my leg as the exit on the part we were told to leave at was really unsafe and they also made my 2 year old and my 4 year old niece get off which was so much more unsafe than actually on the slide as this exit area had a massive sign saying KEEP OFF!!!!! We were told the children had to be in Splashdowns rubber rings, which were too big for a child but okay for adults!!! The children had their own rubber rings and the way we were spoken too was disgusting. We went into the kids area and the slide in there was broken and closed. So the kids didn't even get to have much fun. We actually couldn't wait to leave and ruined my nieces birthday.

Disgusting and rundown.

Disgusting and rundown.

Well where to start first about splashdown tower park Poole.
One of my childhood places I use to go to. I took my Son there August 2022 the first time going back for 22 years.
Summer holidays so I knew it was
Going to be busy. All booking online was fine.We got there and walked into the Disgusting changing rooms.Litter on the floor. I just thought it’s the summer holidays they must know it’s there so they will pick it up. My Son and I was on the Tube ride inside first.Straight away I got given an deflated hoop.Asked for a new one and the employee just said it’s broken and then gave it to another child behind me. On our way up the ride we queued up feeling excited and walking up the stairs there was someone’s gross false nails left on the floor. It was gross to see this. Some children were kicking them around.
2 of the wrist tag machines were not working with taped signs over them. I waited for the young child in front of me to go down before me and waiting until the green light came on. It was still on red and Luckily I turned around to the tv screen to see when she was exiting the ride. The employee told me to go and I told him the girl hadn’t come down yet. He said oh ya. I was like wow!!!! Health and safety policy for the employees must be not that good.
The hand sanitisation stations next to the rides were empty and one of them was broken which the lid came down on my sons back. Empty stations really!!!! What does that say. It felt dirty everywhere in Splashdown.run down is the words I have for it.
The icing on the cake was cigarette ends outside in the tower stairs for the rides. On top was broken deflated tubes.
£33 for just under 2 hours for my son and I. So disappointing.
On our way out I asked the receptionist if there was an complaints form and she said no. I did tell her I would do a trust pilot review instead.
What a shame this is.Splashdown is very run down and the health and safety of the staff is non existent. It feels so dirty in there. The cleanliness is horrific.

PLEASE
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEHERE ELSE.
