They make you pay for premium even tho your at your house using wifi at home. Like I’ll just use YouTube if I can’t even pick the songs I want to listen to. Bad idea whoever came up with that. Free version should convince you to buy it. Not make you go to other apps to do the same thing. For an easier for less annoying ways. Even if you’re at home. I used to love this app but discriminates the users that are in the free mode even tho they will buy premium later. Treats those users like garbage.

This happens with cards, and I don't remember to go into every computer site I have ever visited to warn them (in fact, mt bank tells me it makes no difference unless I quit, which I didn't. I found that Spotify had charged me for two months. Even though I had not used their premium service and not realised I was on it. . I found their instructions opaque. When I raised this with them, they were totally intransigent. So I ended up paying about £24 for absolutely nothing.
Poor customer sevice and experience
Had an issue I tried to address with spotify recently and really needed their support and I didn't get any support what so ever, agents felt lazy and unable to support customers, just trying to make their job easier, I won't be resubscribing put it that way with the experience I had with staff when needed support I didn't feel valued at all as a customer, I won't be giving this company the time of day anymore and definitely won't be lining their pockets while feeling under vauled as a customer. I felt spotify could of done a lot better at resolving my issue but didn't and rather they lost a customer. I agrees with some of the comments here made already about Spotify having very poor customer service yet quick to take your money.

The company using Spotify sent a jumper that was meant to be Cashmere was cheap market Polyester . Said they had a returns policy , defunct phone, e mail not operational, return address unoccupied lock up, Cannot get hold of Spotify to complain I would advise steer clear anything to do with Spotify
Marvelous Customer service
I realised that I had messed up my subscription causing multiple charges.
I contacted Spotify support by web chat and explained the situation.
They were extremely helpful and investigated the issue..
Within 10 minutes my mistake was corrected and a FULL REFUND of over £350 was authorised. This was in my account the next day.
The problem was totally my fault and I could have not asked for better service and an honest outcome. Thank you

The customer service here is unbelievably bad. "Don't worry, help is here" and then just "sorry about that, sorry about this, there's nothing we can do about anything."
I will never return as a customer and I will make sure no one I know does either.

It's like dealing with 3-year old children, literally cannot do a simple transfer of an account, charging various payments for who knows what, awful customer service, can't resolve anything, don't answer properly - respond utter rubbish!
My Spotify experience
It is very useful as it lets you create your own playlists and it often has my favourite songs but sometimes the lyrics aren't there which is kind of frustrating.
A smooth premium experience
It's a nice app with smooth streaming (when your internet can cope with it). Is it a rip off? Idk, but it's great to be able to listen to such a vast library of music on demand.
It's always had the correct songs listed and such, and overall as a paid up user I really like the service.

Adverts, adverts, adverts.
Constant adverts after every song! There are better free sites out there where you can also select individual songs. Also without adverts after every song. This site tells you about the next 30 minutes being ad free yet 5 minutes later you get 5 minutes of adverts again 🤷♂️

Does Spotify really care about customer experience? Doesn't look like it! I experienced adverts as soon as I logged on to the site today. I then got 1 and a half songs snd the adverts kicked in again! I've never experienced adverts half way through a song before. There's a first. Does Elon Musk own this site now? It has his kind of spin about it now.

I had an account with this organisation and after the site caused problems by the way they altered the site with Tonic Clonic Seizures and Grand Mals, they were requested to close the account. They have failed to do, taken out another Standing Order and keep saying they require a Merchant Number, something they never provided. Looks like legal action to stop this con

Been with YouTube music for the last 2 years now switched to spotify and it’s recommendations ect and helping construct playlists are far far far superior to YouTube

Went back to MP3s and physical albums after Spotify kept increasing prices; twice in a year!
I just occasionally buy a compilation album of recent hits. Now I have 10,000 songs on my phone and that'll do me.
Spotify is a waste of money, for the money I could just buy over a dozen albums and support the artist more directly.
Unethical business practices
Been a paying customer with Spotify since about 2018 but have now decided to leave the platform for good. With increasing membership costs, poorly paying artists and increasingly using AI to generate "music" instead of paying actual artists I don't feel comfortable supporting Spotify. Instead I will go to platforms like Bandcamp that actually care about their users and artists.
