Tech sales track
I'm happy with the tech sales track structure and the career coaching along with the program is great support. I wanted to brush up my sales skills and pivot to tech sales roles and this program offers the right tools and guidance. Speaking with the student support team and office hours have always been helpful and keep the accountability intact. I have not received a job offer yet but feels like I am well equipped to make that change. It wont be wrong to say I got exactly what I was looking for in a bootcamp.
Best Bootcamp!
I had a wonderful experience with Springboard! Everyone in the team was so professional! Always willing to help! The small projects and capstone projects prepare me ready for the job.
You won't regret going with SpringBoard!
I am so happy with SpringBoard's UX/UI Design Career Track course. The curriculum was well thought out and built your confidence over time. Every mentor and career coach is uplifting and experienced. A few areas I feel it could be improved are providing specific training within the design tool you choose and giving more guidance during the Industry Design Project (IDP).
Having sample projects early on in the curriculum for how to use auto-layout or build components and variants effectively within the design tool you chose would be useful. (could be optional to complete)
The IDP is such an amazing project to be apart of in a bootcamp, but my teammates and I often felt confused. Having a "mock" project manager working along with us would have been more helpful in learning how to navigate conversations with stakeholders right away rather than guess and potentially build poor habits, especially as new designers.
Great exp!
Im very pleased that I chose Springboard Tech Sales bootcamp! Their modules are in depth,m, the weekly webinar with the instructor is informative, and the career coach’s are beyond supportive! Real-world projects to build knowledge on. And the alumni are great! Pivoting into Tech has been a great experience and they prepared me for my Tech Sales first job! I got an offer within a week of completing the program. You will not be disappointed if you choose Springboard over other competitors. You get what you pay for!!!
I had a positive experience
I had a positive experience. The boot camp had a suitable duration, providing enough time to cover the necessary topics in-depth. One aspect I particularly appreciated was the access to a mentor and a career coach. Their guidance and support were invaluable throughout the program.
However, one aspect that could be improved is the lack of a centralized and comprehensive source material. While the camp provided curated materials from various sources, the absence of a single, main reference created inconsistencies and made it challenging to have a go-to resource for reviewing concepts. Although the curated materials were beneficial for supplementary learning, they should not replace a core material that students can rely on as a primary reference.
In summary, the data science boot camp was valuable due to its appropriate length and the availability of mentors and career coaches. Nonetheless, addressing the issue of a single comprehensive material would greatly enhance the learning experience and provide students with a reliable resource for studying and reinforcing concepts.
Amazing Data Analytics Program
This was an excellent program that covered so many aspects of the data analytics track, It was challenging, but it pushed me to grow and become better in ways I never imagined, a big thank you to Springboard for providing me with this incredible learning experience. I'm grateful for the knowledge and skills I've gained and look forward to applying them in my future endeavors.
Great boot camp
Great boot camp. I knew if I had an issue with something that someone would be an email away, with a quick response. The material way very thorough and very educational on the subject.
Changed my life!
This program allowed me to make a drastic career change. I worked in Child Care & Education previously and now I work as a System Administrator. Overall the program is very well done and thorough. It prepared me well for my new career!
The mentorship and modules are great
The mentorship and modules are great. I found that to be the best part of the program. The lack of assistance in staying on track and the reliance on outside content are the reason behind my rating.
A look back at my bootcamp.
I loved the prep course a bit more than the main course. I had an outstanding mentor for the prep course who really pushed me and answered all the questions I posed. I had to switch mentors very early on in the main course. The second mentor I had was good but the meeting were always short. About 10-15 minutes most time. I felt the work was just “pushed through” with minimal feedback. I honestly wasn’t sure if I was doing industry level work. I wish I had the mentor from the prep course in the main one. However, The advisors were awesome for both courses. The career coach I went to regularly was amazing. I’d say I had a good experience for the most part.
I had the best training at springboard…
I had the best training at springboard and I will recommend this bootcamp to anyone looking to start in cybersecurity they have great mentors and coaches.
Springboard equips you with relevant…
Springboard equips you with relevant industry practices and encourages real critical thinking in their program. They had great mentors. I especially benefitted from the hiring manager reviews and mock interview coach calls. After graduating, I feel confident with my portfolio and applying to positions.
This is the second bootcamp that I've…
This is the second bootcamp that I've done through Springboard and I do not regret one cent nor one second I have spent. I have learned new skills that I didn't even know I could learn. I feel like the future is up for grabs and I love feeling that way. Thank you for being so freaking awesome!
Extremely responsive and helpful
Extremely responsive and helpful, clear and proactive about making sure that I am doing well in the curriculum and giving me tips and tricks to improve along the way.
Springboard Cyber Security Track
I completed SpringBoard's Cyber Security Track and genuinely enjoyed it ! The curriculum is diverse and contains videos, labs and projects that expose students to the many different facets of Cyber Security. I came into the program with no prior experience in this field so that is the perspective you will get from my review.
Students are paired 1:1 with a mentor and that was extremely helpful to me. Career coaches and support staff are all pleasant and are a pleasure to work with.
Course is fully online allowing for flexibility if you have other life obligations.
I did not sign up for the job guarantee option so I cant comment on that , but what I can tell you is that this program will give you everything you need to start your career in cyber security and gives you excellent job & career related resources including continued access to career coaches for 6 months post graduation. I just recently completed the program and have begun my job search. Keep in mind that the employment prospects for students will vary depending on many other factors such as background, the state of the economy/job market and level of experience.
Before signing up for any bootcamp, I always encourage people to conduct thorough research into the field you are interested in because tech bootcamps can be challenging and it can be hard to keep your motivation up when you are doing something you aren't interested in.
As i've said before bootcamps can be challenging and the search for employment after can be just as challenging, so set realistic expectations when coming in. However, if you are a hard worker, go getter and can navigate your way when outside of your comfort zone you will succeed in tech bootcamps and the industry as well.
Cybersecurity bootcamp
I do not recommend this boot camp.
After not being able to get a job in cyber security they advised me to look for IT helpdesk job. They do not cover the skills need for IT help desk jobs
The material is not unique to springboard. They use LinkedIn learning videos which can be accessed for $30 a month with a LinkedIn premium account.
The instructions on "mini-projects" are vague and incomplete.
The mentors are not well screened. I was ghosted by to mentors my first week.
I do not believe the material presented in the bootcamp alone would have prepared me for the CompTIA security + exam.
New beginnings with cybersecurity training with Springboard
I was looking for a training in cybersecurity, and Springboard had a plan in place to help me achieve my goal and finally make a career switch. It takes dedication, discipline, diligence, sacrifice and hard work, all made possible by the Springboard strong support system plus one-on-one mentor who is an industry expert on your field. Can't beat that! I am thankful, grateful, and forever indebted to Springboard for helping me make the jump to this new field. I will recommend Springboard to anyone looking for an exciting training.
Job Guarantee is a scam
Job Guarantee is a scam. You come in with a baby in your hand - that's a missed call. You applied for a remote job, it doesn't count. You better not come in if you're in the car - even if you're parked. Sometimes my husband is deployed and I'm a single mom stuck at my kid's school so I have to reschedule. They will find ANYTHING for the contract to be nulled. My mentor couldn't come in on SEVERAL occasions, but I don't get my panties all scrunched up because she couldn't come in due to something going on in her life. You can learn all of this on your own, they just gather resources outside and link them in their course. It is not worth the expense. Lacks empathy for a company focused on empathizing with people.
pro/cons of springboard
For a full-time employee working 5 days not work from home, springboard was perfect for what I was looking for.
Pros:
- self-paced resources
- mentor for questions and accountability
- personally, I had a great experience with the industry project client and my team
- network (met so many others that are embarking on their UX/UI journey/large alumni base)
- personally, the feeling of confidence and preparedness post completion
Cons:
- most resources were linked google search-able articles (however, you don't know what you don't know so having the resources in the same place so this could be a pro as well)
- somewhat isolated but thats the nature of virtual learning
- everyones experience is different, but my mentor didn't respond to emails so I had to wait an entire week to get my questions answered during our weekly meetings.
A truly professional environment
I chose Springboard because they did not scream out they are the best, and they did not say they had better graduate employment statistics than this or that coding camp. Now after having graduated from Springboard I can tell you it is indeed an exceptional bootcamp. What makes them so is their unrelenting support of students. Whether you are stuck in the course or need to clarify something urgent in between your mentor calls, they give you many options of help. I must say their teaching assistants go above and beyond their standard 30-min duties. Some of them literally gave me their extra-time to make sure my problem is understood and resolved.
I truly can say the same about their career coaches; they know exactly how to spot your weak points.
I do not have experience with other bootcamps but Springboard leaves me with only warm feelings and memories. Good job Springboard - you are professionals!
