We live in the Deep South where there are lots of fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and flys. Garlic is the only repellent that I give to my rescue terrier. I also use the granulated garlic in cooking. 👍

Helps prevent fleas and ticks on the dogs.
Bug off garlic is great! It does keep fleas, ticks and flies off dogs and horses!!!
The amount it calls for my size of dog is too much for them. It makes them so thirsty I have to take them to pee every 30 minutes - they will drown themselves if i keep giving this. I Have to very lightly sprinkle but then it's not enough to prevent fleas. Probably going to sell all 3 jars and get pills.
I am disappointed because I used as directed, but my puppy still got fleas - twice!

Diarrhea after two days for my Scotch Collie
I love the protection without the chemicals!
I like the convenient powder and content of the product. But my dogs greatly dislike the taste and smell and leave their food uneaten.
I have not seen a flea or tick in years since using this Product. I heartworm test every six months and always negative .fabulous to have a natural alternative to these horrible chemicals they giving our dogs.
I can’t say this product works. My dog still had ticks on him and even got bit by one

I started giving the bug-off garlic granules to my 3 year old black lab several years ago on the advice of her holistic vet. She had just been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), so we switched her to a gentler flea and tick alternative to help her heal. Her sensitive digestive system handled the garlic granules just fine, but it did not work very well at deterring ticks during that first year, so we resorted to using essential oil sprays to keep her tick free. Once she finally healed from the IBD (about a year later), the garlic granules worked great! No more essential oil sprays required to keep the ticks off of her any more. She is now almost 7 years old and gets her garlic granules with every meal. Thanks for offering this kinder and gentler alternative for our 4 legged besties!
Absolutely love this product. 2 years ago my dog was suffering really bad from reactions that I believed were due to “bravecto” since they occurred simultaneously back to back some seasons in a row when I had given it to him; even though our vet said it couldn’t possibly be the medication. She wanted to counter the symptoms with injections, that he would suddenly need monthly @ $300/injection!! To counter the reaction effects of what I believed were due to the pill she was prescribing him. I listened to my better judgment, saying I appreciated her advice but I wanted to look into all options for his “condition” including more naturopathic alternatives, I did a lot of research and went with my gut on swapping to garlic granules. He gets a triple dose and is completely free of the severe allergy reactions of his skin sloughing off [+ flee & tick free!!]. Our vet still thinks the prior couldn’t possibly be due to her pharmaceutical prescriptions but says she’s happy his problem has been “resolved” even though she still chooses to live in denial because it contradicts her formal training. I wish more vets would be open minded to holistic & natural products instead of believing synthetics only. Biochemicals are the way to go. Using nature the way nature intended to help keep good homeostasis. Until then. Empower yourselves & take a stand for our animals. We the people help drive markets the way we want them to go. We want the best for our animals & to live as long a life as possible without problems. Especially those of us running “working class” level animals. It’s a huge investment loss to have an animals life cut short. Any physiological “problems” are usually secondary causes to environmental factors - including what’s being put into the body. Let’s focus collectively more on helping heal our animals naturally & using nature to help nature thrive. - lifetime loyal customer
Fabulous product, works GREAT, and LOVE it!
My dog breed of choice is the Cardigan Welsh corgi. I am not a fan of what I call “mainstream medical”, either for myself or for my dogs. I discovered this natural method of flea control years ago and have seen nary a flea since! My allopathic vet (at the time) took great exception to my use of garlic for dogs. She maintained that garlic was toxic, which can be true in quantities that a dog would never consume. She preferred to use health-threatening chemicals to prevent flea infestations.
It keeps all Ticks, Fleas, Mosquitos, & others off both of my Rottweilers. I’ve used Springtime Bug Off garlic powder for 19 years for my first dog a German Shepard, my Pit Bull, my first Rottie,& now I give it to both my Rotties who are 5 months & a year old. If you plan on using it (which I highly recommend) make sure to start your puppy on it with their food from day 1. If you wait & try mixing it in down the line after they’re over a year old they will never like it. The only small inconvenience is your dog will have garlic breath after they eat for 30-45 minutes😂!
So much better than harmful chemicals for my animals
We’re getting good on flies and gnats, but I really don’t know about fleas on flea medication at the time have a problem with the fleas and stray cats
While I haven’t seen the effectiveness of this yet, it was surprisingly easy to introduce my dogs to eating it. I was up to the recommended full dose on the second day! That’s saying something since my oldest fellow is a picky eater.
Even though, I don't care for the smell of garlic, my dogs love it!
Over the years I’ve had eleven dogs on Bug Off Garlic. In all that time we’ve had only one tick and no fleas. We live next to a marsh with tall grass and plenty of wildlife so I think this is a very impressive record. Also, I love being able to give the dogs a product that is natural and actually good for them rather than pesticides. Win win!
