We are sorry to hear that your dog is not warming up to the smell of the Bug Off Garlic. It can be very frustrating when we know something is good for them but they refuse it. A helpful hint we have heard is that storing the garlic in the refrigerator will decrease the smell and flavor without negatively impacting its usefulness. Thank you for your review and order. We are sorry to hear that your dog is not a fan of the granules! We do have some recommendations to help get your picky eater back on track! Because the Bug Off Garlic does have a strong flavor, some of our customers do need to mix it in with something. Some customers have had luck using a little bit of different flavor treat like peanut butter, liverwurst, canned tripe, cottage cheese, yogurt, wet dog food, ground beef, canned tuna, raw food, etc. Another helpful hint we have heard is that storing the garlic in the refrigerator will decrease the smell and flavor without negatively impacting its usefulness.
Also, taking it slow can be key. If you start with a small amount when a new added flavoring, and they really enjoy the new taste, then you may be able to increase it over a couple of weeks. Dividing the dosage helps as well.
