What do you say about a site that changes the price at the last minute and then does not explain why until you send 4 e-mails? What if said site than blames a glitch related to your i.p. address even though their own site gives two different prices for the same item? Well they offered to cancel the order and asked them to please do so, but instead 4 days later I get a notice from PayPal and my bank that they attempted to take payment for the "cancelled" order. As I suspected they were unreliable after the reason given for the price change, I made certain on my end that no payment would be made if an attempt to debit my account if they failed to follow through.
If price on an item is quoted in £, you would obviously assume that the buyer is in the UK, so the price would include VAT. Instead, Sputnik tacked on VAT at the end as they claim they did not know I was UK based. Hello!You have a website with prices listed in £!
Hilariously, these guys have a higher score than sites I have never had issues with in any way. Makes you wonder if a site bragging about their Trustpilot score actually means anything. I would not even be writing this if they had followed then on doing as they said the would and cancelled the order.
Fortunately,I found the Volcom product I wanted on the official site at the same price.

I am so sorry to hear of your experience while purchasing from our store. Our site did remove VAT from prices as at the time of your order your IP address was located outside of the European Union, our prices are still displayed in sterling worldwide. After inputting a UK address for delivery it would have then added this back on, although this is displayed before confirming the order please allow us to apologies this was not made clearer.
In regards to the payment, your order was placed using an echeque. This makes cancelling and refunding the order significantly harder unless done so within the first 1-2 hours. If the cancellation request is not submitted within the first 1-2 hours PayPal will still often request the funds from your linked account.
I would again like to offer my sincere apologies on behalf of Sputnik for any inconvenience this has caused.
