Staffordshire County Council Reviews 

Staffordshire County Council what on earth is going on? We haven't had any internet since 13.12.23. Open reach requested permission to dig up the road, asking for a date of 22.12.23. Staffordshire County Council told them the work couldn't be completed until 17.01.24. I called the council on 22.12.23 and twice on 05.01.24 trying to speak to someone in the highways department. I was told to email- WITH NO WIFI!!! There are no available phone numbers to actually speak to someone. On both occasions I was told that the customer services operator would email on my behalf, I left my number and email address but have heard nothing. We work from home and this is causing us major issues. I have been told that South Staffordshire Council offices also lost internet on 13th December but it was reinstated that afternoon. So how can it be possible for the council to be reinstated but not the 77 affected homes? Trying to get answers is a nightmare, obviously not any where near on the same scale but I completely admire Alan Bates, who was so instrumental in raising awareness and fighting for those affected by the post office scandal- closed doors and an impossibility to actually speak to anyone who can help are unacceptably frustrating.

Having tried for many months to get not only a reply that makes sense but someone to own a form of responsibility, I despare.
Knowing the process, someone gave the authority to divert all the M6 traffic off due to roadworks from J14 straight into the major A34 roadworks with reduced lanes to one.
What idiot would even think of giving such an instruction.
I have had replies from the very difficult to get hold of Highways department, but none of them have been relevant.
Unfortunately I can only assume that these ridiculous decisions will be continuously taken by a body that just seems not to care at all regarding - common sense, customer service, communication or logic.
What hope have we got.
But they want their money from us all via Council Tax for highway maintenance and control.
What a joke.
I await the promised response . . . . . .

i have spent my time today in reporting a fallen tree after a major storm,
the fallen tree was blocking a major footpath which meant no access for wheelchairs etc,

i got the usual non interested representative on my call to report the issue,
they could not tell me when or if the tree would be removed any time soon, today ? tomorrow,? next week ? i expect they will send a man out wearing a suit just to confirm the tree has actually fallen down ?
it really is like pulling teeth when reporting issues to the County Council,
they appear more interested in getting my own personal details than the details of the actual problem you first called about,

it really makes you want to contact them again to report issues you may come across,

i will not bother nest time !!

I have spent 4K over the past 2 years on these poor roads around penkridge on tyres and alloy wheel repairs. put a claim in against them they then issue Zurich their insurance company to contact me and ask me all the same questions that i have already given them on there portal. and have now been ignored for 3 months

I think it such a shame that I report flytipping to South Staffordshire City Council and they tell me nothing can be done due to the rubbish is on private land. Surely they should have some idea how to go about this serious problem. I expressed to the council it is a terrible situation living amongst this mess and what do they com back with, it is okay as there are no sign of rats dropping so everything should be okay. What the hell am I paying council tax for??? Come on sort this terrible issue out and keep Britain tidy is what I say. My message to you is, if you really care pull your fingers out and clear this crap up.

Utterly the most dog poo corrupt council in the land

It has just cost me 3 digit money to replace near new tyre and have wheel reshaped - cause: a massive unrepaired pothole. It could have been worse, IF I'd swerved and caused a head on collision OR killed a cyclist.
Staffs CC garner the money from road tax and government yet completely fail in their responsibility to maintain the roads in a safe condition.

Following the court decision s.w v norfolk county council in December 2020. Many councils have reviewed their policies of charges for the services offered to the severely disabled. Many have reduced their charges by 2thirdsand more,some have even cancelled them altogether,but not this council.it would appear that a court decision made in the highest Court in the land s.c.c feels itdoes apply to them

Rude young staff members. They hired a rude member who was not helpful to me in any way. Need to work on hiring better people more appropriate for the job. Won't be using this library again.
