Great day out!
We just experienced the Wine Tasting Tour and throughly enjoyed the 2hours. Yvonne was brilliant, extremely knowledgeable and great recommendations throughout.
I usually am a Red Wine drinker and went with the aim of finding a White, Rosé and Fizz option and they didn’t disappoint. 3 out of 3 making their way home with us!
If you’re looking for a Red Wine, then not the place for you possibly due to the English climate essentially and probably they aren’t full bodied enough compared to foreign comparisons.
All in all, a great day out and beautiful settings within the 130acre estate.

Yes, exactly as you suggest, English red wines are always on the light side (like Beaujolais or Valpolicella) due to the cooler growing conditions, however they do make a nice aperitif - even chilled in summer!

Not for me
Found this site online a few weeks ago after hearing a particular wine mentioned in glowing terms and bought a mixed half case (six bottles). Really not for me at all I'm afraid. I have tried three of them so far and, to me, all of the wines are thin, bitter and pretty much undrinkable. I opened one today and I've poured most of it away, I regularly buy much more palatable wine for half the price. Very disappointing, I certainly won't buy again.

We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy our wines. You're right, English wines tend to be lighter side due to our climate, perhaps you prefer a bolder style?
We also understand that price is an important consideration, and some international wines can be more affordable. However, we take pride in growing high-quality grapes and using traditional winemaking methods, which contribute to the unique character of English wines.
This is our first negative review in 5 years, but we understand that everyone's taste is different, so we appreciate your feedback.
If you'd like to taste other wines in our range (both the rosés and the sparkling wines are all award-winning), please don't hesitate to let us know.
