Stanmore Business & Innovation Centre

I've had an office here for the past 2 years and have to say its a great place to run my business from. The building is literally brand new, the staff have been very helpful and courteous. It's a great business community to be part of and I would certainly recommend these offices to my friends and family.

Disgusting Landlords and worse than…

Disgusting Landlords and worse than the third world style of management.

The former management's team (Tom and his colleagues ) were brilliant and Stanmore Business centre was business alike , great environment and efficient 3 years ago. Unfortunately the centre has become source of negativity since the new owners (Zara and her brothers) took the office. Their service is worse and their attitude towards clients is disgraceful. In fact , they look at, correspond and communicate to business owners as tenant not as clients and would easily charge penalty , change the lock and block the access to the office if the rental payment became arrear. They do not care what is going to happen to poor clients , money is only important in their third world style alike management. Very Bad!

DONT AGREE WITH NEGATIVE COMMENTS

We have been residents of SBIC since January 2014. Let me make some points to clear up the negativity
1. The kitchen is treated like dirt by these same people who post negative reviews. Recently some people finished their Indian take away and then put their plates (INCLUDING the left overs) in the dishwasher!!! seriously you have to question their IQ's. Who does that? you empty the plate in the garbage run some water over the plate and then place it in the dishwasher. People have been known to "steal" the fuses from the plugs for the kettle and microwave. why!!!! Plates and glasses and cups simply dumped in and besides the sink just piling up by the day end. THESE SAME PEOPLE complain about facilities. They are too lazy to place their dishes and cups in the dishwasher. People steal other peoples food from the fridge. Someone actually had their boiled egg taken....an EGG would you believe.
So lets get something straight. When I arrive around 6.30/7.00am the kitchen on my floor is spotless and fresh. By the day end it resembles a heap. That dear reader is purely the result of people behaving like **gs.
2. Toilet: ok granted there is one male/female toilet and a handicap shared toilet. Don't blame the owners. Blame the original builders who decided one toilet is enough for the floor as they maximise rental space. We have seen people flood the toilets, break the urinals, urinate on the floor. again the behaviour of a very uncouth individual.
3. Parking. Yes that is an issue. BUT again the original developer allocated bays to SBIC and the rest to the hundreds of residents (private flats). So SBIC only have so much they can provide. Not their fault. You want to blame someone blame the developers.
4. Rent. We have compared rentals at SBIC with other serviced offices in the area (Stanmore/Edgware/Borehamwood/Barnet) and SBIC offer excellent value for money. Instead of working in a maze/cocoon like other offices, we have wonderful double doors that open onto the development allowing fresh air to circulate. Aircon? huh? for what 7/365 days a year? It is a well known fact that aircon is NOT good for you as you breathing non-fresh air. If we lived in a country where daily temp of 30 degrees for 6 months is the norm (Spain) then yes aircon is simply a necessity. But this is Stanmore. I think that says it all

In Summary, ZARA and NINA are amazing. They treat us with respect and have never ignored us or been unhelpful. In fact there was a previous lady that worked for SBIC who was let go - not fired as someone indicated in their review (because her position was duplicated by the new owners - pure business decision nothing malicious) was a real nightmare to deal with. That is a fact and her colleagues and most of the people that rented offices agreed with. We are delighted to be dealing with Zara and Nina. Some of the nicest people I have ever had to deal with. People who post negative reviews (about the ladies) , perhaps its your attitude that needs changing. Treat people nicely and with respect and you will be amazed to see the positive results.

In summary - to the negative commentators - don't blame management (& her employees), blame the people who abuse the kitchen and bathrooms. They the ones who make your lives a misery

We are VERY HAPPY at SBIC and we ADORE Zara and Nina !!!

Standard of Service Has Gone Down!

The service, staff and the rents at the Stanmore Business Innovation Centre in Stanmore Place used to be good and reasonable value, but unfortunately since the change in ownership the majority of the old staff has gone not sure if they were fired or just decided to leave, but they have gone and the service has gone down! I urge the new management to take this as constructive criticism and make improvements in their attitude and they way they run the place. The purpose of the SBIC was to help new businesses to flourish and to provide support to new businesses, however that support now seems to be pretty much non-existent, there used to be useful workshops and networking events for new businesses but does not seem like this will be happening anymore. Unfortunately the rents for tenants have been increasing without justification as the level of service has decreased. The focus should be to nurture new businesses not to maximise rental income! If you are going to raise rents then where is the added value, what extra are we as tenants getting for the increase in rent?! It should also be noted that the toilets are not always clean, and there have been occasions where toilet facilities are not working properly, pretty sure there is a leak in at least one of the toilets, would be in your interest to have it checked out and fixed! I am surprised by the 5 star reviews yes the location is good but at the same time the level of service, facilities, maintenance and cleanliness is also important. I really hope that the management takes note of what has been said and make a positive improvement in their attitude towards tenants old and new. More importantly please do not be driven by profit only, think about how you can help new and existing businesses to flourish and grow, in their success lies your success!

I would definitely recommend Stanmore …

I would definitely recommend Stanmore BIC to others! Conveniently located offices just a stone throw away from the Jubilee line! Delightful staff who have looked after us since we moved in. No problems at all.

No hesitation in recommending this …

No hesitation in recommending this convenient and well run serviced office location to any SME looking for good value office accommodation in NW/London area. The units are thoughtfully designed, bright and well looked after. The centre's management are hardworking, professional and have a genuine interest in the well being of the businesses based in the building. Looking forward to a long association with Stanmore BIC.

WORST PLACE TO RENT AN OFFICE !!!

Sneaky Property Managers and underhanded staff. They make up rules as and when it pleases them. As a paying customer I do expect to be hounded with unreasonable unwarranted emails. The offices themselves are nice, however the 'rules' they enforce make it such a difficult place to work!

It looks like these people have nothing better to do with their time other than harass the people who rent a space in this building.

Renting an office here is a total rip off as well - Be careful if you do decide to rent here as they will increase the rent once they know you have settled in - forcing you to agree as for most companies, moving offices all the time is not really practical.

Regret the day I signed a contract with these guys!!

New owners are thieves with a smile. Go somewhere else.

New international owners are AWFUL,

All business in building don't like them or new rules imposed. Old staff all fired off, Price rises and contract changes leaving all new business at disadvantage, which goes against principal and ethos of why it was built.Massive car park issues and over heating in summer (No AC). Dont forget the one male cubicle shared between 15+ businesses a floor... Always dirty. Zero help from receptions. Zara will promise you the world with a smile when walk in but will completely dismiss you with any issues, you are here tenant and"they are doing you a favour". Even though we are paying customers. So shes the boss, and we all have no say. All kitchen coffee and kettles were removed from whole floor. Car parking is not enough for all businesses and be carefull on any new contract changes, our contracts and terms changed with new owners. Price rise are well above inflation purely to help new owners investment yield.

Dont move her, work from home.FOR REAL, We have put our concerns with council but to no luck.
