Great repairs done, paint work and body look as good as new. Repairs took awhile but were worth it, not too much communication which was a little frustrating and would of liked to have known what work... See more

Friendly professional staff who did a wonderful job. Provided courtesy car which had low tyre pressure warning light on. The courtesy car was checked for damage etc before we had it but not for warning lights.

My car was taken into Steer and I was promised a courtesy car, I had to chase them everyday regarding this car. Nobody bothered to call me I had to call them and essentially ask them to do their jobs. I would be promised the car one day and then told it was not coming the next and so on. I eventually had to be passed onto a reputable car hire company who were actually able to do their jobs correctly and arrange a courtesy car for me. But this did not detract from the fact that I had taken time off work and amended plans to be home for this courtesy car from Steer that never materialised. Eventually, the works on my own car were complete, of course I had to chase Steer to find this out - nobody bothered to call me. Again, I was told numerous conflicting days/times that my car would be returned. I was told my car would be delivered on the Thursday, I called up on Thursday lunchtime to be told 'No, won't be today' (they certainly were not going to bother to call me and tell me this) even though I had booked the day off work to be home to receive the car! It was not until I complained and spoke to higher management that they bothered to follow through and bring the car back. I shouldn't have had to have done that. If there was any decent level of customer care I wouldn't have had to.
Do not use this compnay if you rely on your car and value good customer service.

Repairs completed to a good standard, staff friendly and accommodating when communicating and arranging courtesy cars and car collections. My car was in for around 4 weeks and I only had one update on progress when I rang to enquire.
Positive experience overall.

My car was in to get fixed after it got broken into. It was picked up and dropped off by the garage in a very timely manner. My car was in for just under 2 weeks, they sorted me out with a hire car from enterprise straight away. I was given regular updates and the repairs have been completed to a high standard.

Good, quick and friendly service. I was kept informed how they were getting on with the repair, and impressively my car was finished sooner than expected.

What can I say; except what an absolutely beautiful job on my lovely Nissan Juke. Thanks to a lorry driving pulling out if a junction forcing me into a small gap, where a hinge stuck out of the vehicle I pulled in behind. The damage to my car was extensive. Steers requested information and pictures of the damage then is was assessed, then they towed it away.
It has been a long time without my car but I was updated throughout. Josh contacted me to let me know what was happening and that was good service. Yesterday, after 5 weeks my car came back, and the repair is extraordinary 👌. They even brought it back to me rather than me going to get it.
Excellent service, great restoration. Highly recommend Steers Worthing.

We were very happy with the experience we had with Steer Automotive Group. A nice young man called Adam delivered our courtesy car and explained what was going to happen with our Volvo in terms of the timescale of work being done. The communication with us was excellent and we were pleased with the work that was done on our car. Again, Adam returned our car and assisted with our payment of the excess over the phone. A smooth experience.

I am writing this to warn others about the appalling service and lack of accountability at Steer Automotive (Cambuslang) and FMG. My car was sent for what was described as a "basic bumper repair" following a front-end impact.
The Facts:
Collection: My car was driven away from my home by their agent. The gearbox and gear selector were fully functional.
The Return: The car was returned to me on a Steer-branded recovery truck. It was not driven back.
The Fault: Upon arrival, the car was seized. It will not go into any forward gears and requires physical force to get into reverse.
The Admission: The delivery driver actually asked me, "Do you know your car is undriveable?" yet the garage is now "denying all knowledge" that there was an issue when it left them.
Additional Damage: Not only is the car mechanically broken, but the rear window wiper seal has also been damaged while in their care.
Despite the car being driven to them functional and trucked back broken, they are trying to claim this is "wear and tear." It is clearly consequential accident damage or negligence during the repair/handling process.
To knowingly return an unroadworthy vehicle to a member of the public without warning is a massive safety breach. I have photographic evidence of the Steer truck delivering the broken vehicle
UPDATE:
Steer Automotive Group have now responded asking me to contact them directly. I have done so and await a full explanation as to why my vehicle was returned undriveable without any prior notification.
UPDATE
I spoke to a mechanic from the garage where the repairs were carried out. He advised his colleague who came to take photos for the estimate of repairs on 11th of February was aware there was extensive wear and tear on my clutch and gearbox as he struggled to get my car into reverse, however there was nothing noted and no mention of issues with the forward gears. He said driving a car that worn would cause further damage but failed to notify me of this and still allowed the car to be driven from my home to the garage. There is no written reports of the claimed existing wear and tear just internal verbal communications. There was many more flaws on this call, I have a full recording of this conversation. He admitted the thing they did do wrong was not notify me or record it and he is unsure why his driver drove my car knowing it could have caused further damage. I also continued to drive my car for 12 days after he said the severe wear and tear was first identified but not communicated with no issues, he then said the reason for not notifying me is because I must have already known, the car was engaging in gear for me with no issues so I’m unsure how I should have known
Update
I later found out my car actually went to the Uddingston branch and not Cambuslang

I booked for Steer Yeovil through my insurer as I had a minor ding with someone resulting in paint scratches. I kept having to go back, in total several times, because the car kept coming back with more scratches, and in one case a dent!
While I was waiting for my car to be done. there were several irritated customers coming in saying major details had been overlooked such as fitting grills with the wrong colour, and things like that. They also kept losing the photos they took of the car before the repair so they couldn't validate that the car didn't come in with the damage already!
Would recommend you stay away, at least from the Yeovil garage, as they are clearly incompetant and I kept having to argue the toss with them to get them to correct their mistakes.

Used Steer to help with body damage on a 71 plate ford transit custom from a recent RTC. I was very pleased with the people I came in contact with very professional. They had the van for 4 days and it came back looking like new with a fresh clean on the outside. Would highly recommended.

I had a fantastic experience with Steer Automotive. My car had a very large and deep mark running along the entire side, affecting two doors and the boot, and I was really worried about how it would look afterwards. The team did an absolutely brilliant job the car now looks like new again, and you would never know there had been any damage.
Everyone I dealt with was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the whole process. They clearly take great pride in their work and the quality of the repair really shows. The attention to detail was outstanding and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish.
I would highly recommend Steer Automotive to anyone who needs bodywork or repairs. The team is amazing and the results truly exceeded my expectations.
