My experience with Stellantis &You Chingford has been one of the most unprofessional encounters I’ve had with any dealership.
Before they even contacted me, I sent a very clear message outlining exactly what I needed:
– An EV (60+kWh)
– Physically in stock
– Immediate collection
– £500–£1,000 deposit
– £175–£225 per month
– No part exchange
– Suitable for a 6ft 3, 115kg driver
– And a request to only contact me if they had something that matched these criteria.
Despite this, and getting sucked into their lies I stupidly agreed to offer they had £299 deposit and £299 monthly on PCP, yet two members of staff called me to confirm a vehicle was physically available and booked me in for the next day to finalise the deal. Shortly after, another staff member phoned and insisted he would arrange the vehicle to be transferred to Leicester, even reminding me that all calls are recorded for training and quality purposes. If those recordings are ever reviewed, they will clearly show the promises made.
He assured me he would update me within the hour. Instead, I received nothing until just before closing time — when I was suddenly told that none of what they promised was possible.
I had rearranged my entire day, cancelled commitments, and was ready to give them my business. Instead, I was misled, strung along, and left completely stuck right before a bank holiday, unable to make alternative arrangements.
If a dealership cannot honour its own commitments, cannot communicate internally, and cannot respect a customer’s time — especially after receiving a detailed written brief — then it raises serious questions about their professionalism and integrity.
Stellantis &You Chingford had every opportunity to simply say, “We don’t have anything that matches your criteria.” Instead, they chose to waste my time with false assurances and contradictory information. I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this dealership. What was the need!!!!!

**Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Service – Avoid**
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Stellantis & You (specifically Stellantis & You Chingford) has been so poor that it warrants one.
I own a brand new Leap Motor C10 which had driven just over 600 miles when a serious fault occurred. At 15% charge, the vehicle recognised chargers (both AC and DC) but refused to initiate charging. The issue was tested across multiple chargers and did not resolve.
I contacted Leap Motor Recovery (run by the RAC) the same day. They directed me to Stellantis & You Chingford. Initially, the earliest appointment offered was the end of March, which is unacceptable for a non-charging electric vehicle. After several calls, they eventually offered 19 February.
Before that date, the vehicle completely died — including the 12V system — and became inaccessible due to the inability to charge. I requested recovery towing on 17 February. Despite multiple assurances, nobody arrived on 19 February, forcing me to arrange an emergency tow at a cost of £200.
Interestingly, by midday on 19 February, I could see via the app that the car was back online and charging, suggesting the issue had been “resolved.” The following day, however, I received a call and work order link stating the car was ready for collection — along with a £200 charge for “investigation,” allegedly because the fault was my responsibility.
The explanation? They suggested I may have left the car open, causing the 12V battery to drain.
This is factually and technically flawed.
The car had been driven 650+ miles, at least 35 miles per day, and charged regularly. In the Leap Motor C10, when the car is in “ready” (driving) mode, the DC/DC converter maintains the 12V battery from the traction battery continuously. The vehicle was fully functional — driving, locking, unlocking — right up until the charging fault occurred. The 12V battery did not cause the issue; it died because the main battery could not be charged due to the unresolved charging fault.
In my view, the actual fault (charger connected but no charge initiation) was never properly diagnosed. Instead, once the 12V system drained and effectively “reset” the vehicle (similar to rebooting a computer after a crash), the problem temporarily disappeared — and they attempted to bill me for it.
When I questioned the basis for the £200 charge, the service representative rudely told me to either pay and collect the car or face £50 per day storage charges. I then received an equally obnoxious text message while driving to the garage to discuss the matter.
Upon arrival, the individual claiming to be the service manager repeatedly insisted the fault was mine and that payment was mandatory. No diagnostic evidence was provided. No fault report. No technical justification. Just repeated assertions that the vehicle “must have been parked for a long time,” which is entirely untrue.
Even more concerning is the complete disassociation from the Leap Motor brand. Despite Stellantis being the sole international distributor and 50% owner of Leap Motor International, the staff acted as though they had nothing to do with the product and displayed a worrying lack of technical understanding.
To summarise:
* Brand new car with unresolved charging fault
* Recovery failures resulting in £200 emergency towing cost
* £200 investigation charge with no substantiated fault
* Threats of £50 per day storage
* Rude and unprofessional communication
* No proper diagnosis provided
The total lack of customer service, technical competence, and basic courtesy made this a genuinely horrible experience.
I would welcome Stellantis & You reviewing the facts properly and conducting a genuine technical investigation into the original charging fault rather than defaulting to blaming the customer.
Extremely disappointing.

I was very happy to book a test drive, there was an option for 24h which would be an amazing experience when you try to move to electric and you can live with it for a day.
Since you offer that on your website and your dealers can’t accommodate such thing, this review is to motivate you and improve your offering and your website.
If you can’t offer such thing at the time, what’s the point ?
