AFTERSALES AND SERVICE ARE REALLY BAD.
Booked our vehicle in (Peugeot 5008) after we received notification of a Recall.
This vehicle is a taxi, so we ensured we had a clear day with no customers and booked it in.
Car accepted as per booking at 0830 on 28th July (Tuesday) and informed we could collect about 1630.
At 1510 we received a call, the car did need the part replacing and was now on order! Up to 72 hours wait.
We explained it was a working car, and we expected them to have the part in stock as the vehicle had been booked in, and was possible the part was needed.
After several phone calls we reached Friday, and the 72 hours were up.
The person on the call at Peugeot/Stellantis said it could take up to 72 hours, but quickly changed the timings to possibly 72 hours as this deadline had been passed.
I asked if the part did appear that day, would the work be carried out, Apparently the cars they had booked for that day took precedence over ours which had been there now for FOUR DAYS.
I had called the Recall support number, and they were no help at all, and the Customer care/service number who were worse than useless and very rude.
It is now Monday, and still no part, we have not been able to work this weekend, and have disappointed and probably lost customers.
We live in a rural area, with hardly any public services, and are in demand with people who do not drive, or are unable to use the scarce public transport.
We have lost income for the last week, having to cancel customers, it is our only source of income.
We are more than disappointed.
Being lied to is not good company practice, we will be taking this further. We feel that we have been fobbed off with excuses as any recall is done for free by the dealership, and so they would rather be earning money with people having vehicle servicing work.
Totally unacceptable to take a car in, knowing the part is not available. Bad company practice.
