What could have been a total disaster has been saved by amazing customer service. On Friday we turned up at the port only to be turned away because my passport was not valid under the ten year rule (the expiry date is not now the expiry for older passports!)
We were very upset, but Declan and then Shay on the phone have been amazing, and bent over backwards to accommodate some new dates for us. Thanks to both of them. Absolutely lovely staff; credit to Stena Line for giving them flexibility to make the customer happy.
(Although, it would have been even better if Stena Line had flagged the issue when taking passport details)

I always use Stena line to for my Harwich to Holland trips. The booking process is so simple and easy to follow. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It can be a bit manic when you have to return to your vehicles for disembarking. Cabins are comfortable and good on board services.

Ferry not very clean on staircases and decks. Not enough toilets, they were smelly and not clean.
But the staff in the cafeteria were very nice and the food was OK.

Easy boarding. Ship left on time. Premium Lounge comfortable and peaceful. Nibbles and cakes, soft drinks and tea/coffee etc good selection. Newspapers and magazines available more so on the outward journey. Choice of menu. Shop good variety of merchandise. Staff pleasant and helpful. Just one point, couldn’t read the code for entry to Premium Lounge on return journey.

Boat was 45 mins late, no explanation provided. Stena lounge food offerings deteriorating, there were some chunks of cheap cheddar and no San Pelegrino drinks. The large windows at the front are badly stained, time they were replaced

All staff ashore and onboard were professional and courteous. Only problem is that shuttle buses are used to transfer passengers to/from the ships, which is cumbersome and stressful if travelling with others.

The sailing was calm and comfortable layout.
However the online booking is ambiguous as car and three passengers two of which were senior citizens was interpreted by your staff as five passengers.

On the return from our holiday we were kept waiting for almost two hours in 26 degrees heat before being allowed to board. Please bear in mind my wife and I are in our 80 s and at no time did anyone come and explain the reason for the delay. It was very disappointing, given we are regular users of Stena

Ferry on schedule and premium lounge with refreshments was excellent. More lounge chairs would be good but overall a very enjoyable journey.
Boking process was quick and easy and staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
