Perfection is the combination of Strachan and Adam Clark!
We are thrilled with the outstanding quality of our fitted wardrobes, drawer units and freestanding dressing table. To be honest, we new we were getting quality but it was quite breathtaking when the installation was complete.
I am sure Strachan have a number of excellent fitters but we were fortunate enough to have had Adam. He was, lovely, easygoing, polite, easy to chat with, always on time and had a good work ethic.
His attention to detail was very impressive, for example, there were no gaps whatsoever where the units met the slightly uneven ceiling that was not visible to the naked eye prior to the installation. He simply contoured the top facia to suit - excellent!

Quality of furniture and fitting - Excellent
Our wall bed is perfect for ensuring we had both space and a fully functional double bed, made to a really high standard. The fitter Giovanni was courteous, respectful, tidy, and above all a perfectionist.

We are very, very satisfied with our living room furniture that has just been fitted. From start to finish, we have had excellent customer service - good design at the start, very thorough surveying and, most of all, superb fitting. Our fitter, Adam, was professional, expert and took great pride in his work - extremely helpful and made sure everything was in working order before he left. And throughout the whole process, we have had very good customer service. This company is not the cheapest nor the quickest but they supply very high quality work with good customer service. Highly recommended.

I had a beautiful unit fitted by Adam Clark. He worked hard and I love the job he's done. He left everything nice and clean that you wouldn't know he'd been here.
He also advised me and show me the best way to organise the plugs so I have an easy access to them and he offered to help me with cables connected to TV so everything can look neat and perfect. I'm a
very satisfied customer.

Had a set of built-in library bookcase built and I have been nothing less than totally satisfied with the quality of the manufacture of the bookcase, the quality of the installation and the service from all the staff at Strachan.

Adam has just completed the fitting of my bedroom units. His skill in the attention to detail is excellent.
The quality of the wood and the placing of the grain has exceeded my expectations.
My only comment would be the length of waiting time between the initial planning to completion. Patience required.

I contacted several companies to build a made to measure floor to ceiling library to cover the entire wall in my living room and although they provided me with cheaper quotes, Strachan was the only one that could build the library exactly as I wanted.

I am super happy with the library fitted in my living room. The quality of work is excellent, the library is solid, stunning and it comes with 10yr guarantee.

We were looking for something different to transform our box bedroom into a home office and found Strachan Furniture online. We invited them to design our room and haven't been disappointed. The whole process was well planned. Although, there was a long wait between design and installation, it was worth the wait! We are thrilled with the end result. The installer, Paul Sk was superb, explaining everything from confirming how long the job might take to any potential issues. For example, where the furniture might scuff decorations during install because the fit of the furniture is so precise. (There were no scuffs in our job). Staff are friendly and efficient and provide regular updates about the order. They also follow up a few weeks after install to ensure satisfaction has been achieved. We will definitely be returning to Strachan to fit out other rooms in the house.

I ordered x 7 rooms of fitted furniture. The Fitter who was initially assigned to this project was not good. When I raised concerns, Strachan was swift in rectifying issues, and replaced the initial Fitter with another experienced Fitter [Aaron K].
Aaron did an exceptional work. I describe him as a “top-drawer Fitter”, whose fitting is “second to none”. His precision and attention to detail, fineness, consistency, seamless and neatness should be highly commented. Throughout, Aaron’s fittings were consistently of very high standard. He is very thorough and tidy in his work. He has passion for his work and his trouble shooting skills are of high standard.
I also comment Aaron for his professionalism which is characterised by effective communication, checking, and clarifying things with the Customer. Additionally, Aaron is very respectful to Customer’s environments [it is the little things that matters].
Strachan describe themselves as “The Art of Fine Furniture”. I argue that the fineness is incomplete without FINE fitting which is delivered by individuals like Aaron.
My designer Simon T’s sketch drawings sold the product, he is the best and excellent in whatever he does. The office staff [Helen and Stewart] were also a pleasure to deal with, they handled the whole process from design to completion [fitting] with high professionalism. I am a professional in my own capacity and what I got from Strachan is exactly what I expected without any compromise. I highly recommend Strachan to anyone who consider fitted furniture for their home.

Just had fitted lounge furniture which was completed yesterday. The 2 fitters who installed the furniture were superb and friendly, also they were very professional and the end result is excellent. In fact it is much better than I could have imagined. Also Strachan phoned after completion to make sure all was well . I strongly recommend this company. Thanks to all concerned.

We had a study area designed and fitted. It has been a smooth experience from start to finish. Our interactions with all Strachan staff, from initial meeting to installation have been pleasant, efficient and, in the case of the fitter, also entertaining. We would not hesitate to recommend their services.

I am absolutely thrilled with the service I have received from Strachan from quote to installation and everything in between.

Firstly Stuart who dealt with our quote and original drawings was nothing but professional and helpful. Even when I decided that the drawings were not what we were looking for and had to have them completely redesigned, this was no problem. He was keen for us to get the best possible design that maximised the awkward space we have.

Then every time I spoke to someone in the office particularly Sarah and Stuart they were nothing but professional and courteous. Even during times I was being challenging, like when I had to get a hatch put into the designs for access to a void we didn't know we needed, this was no hassle at all and they even sent out someone to remeasure the hatch at my request.

When Kevin and Jonathan arrived they worked quickly and efficiently to dismantle the old wardrobe and even took the time to talk to my little boy who was really curious about what was happening in his house. Jonathan worked tirelessly throughout the three days to ensure that the wardrobe was fitted to the highest standard. He was clean and tidy, taking into consideration the fact that we were still having to sleep in the room at night. The precise angles and the high quality finish of the wardrobes show off the skilled tradesman that Jonathan is and I can't get over the quality of the work and product.

When you buy from Strachan you are buying a quality product that you will be 100% happy with. It wasn't cheap, but I genuinely believe you pay for quality and I am so glad we chose Strachan and will again in future.

I recently purchased a fitted bedroom wardrobe from Strachan Furniture makers. In my experience, this is a first-rate Company producing excellent well-designed products which are installed by fitters (in our case Pete and Steve) who clearly take a real pride in their work.

I would not hesitate to recommend this Company to those who can afford to acquire and who derive pleasure from having the best wooden furniture to adorn their homes.

We asked Strachan to design a wall unit in my mother’s sitting room to display various ‘treasures’ and a place for the TV.
The designer was very polite punctual and knowledgable and the design was excellent.The execution of the design was impeccable. No mess at all. I strongly recommend this company and Peter the workman, who eventually dismantled it as my mother is now in a care home, was exceptional. All the team in the office are very pleasant to deal with aswell. I can recommend this company very highly. They maybe expensive but as the saying goes, ‘You get what you pay for’. We had a great experience from start to finish. The service level and finished product were both excellent. We had opted to turn a spare bedroom into a dedicated study for my husband. We managed to retain the dual purpose of the room with a foldaway bed, so, for those dreaded Zoom calls, my husband is sitting in a study but when we need an extra bed, we simply pull it down and the room is transformed into a bedroom. Designer, Sales Assistant and fitter were all knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Only lost a star as everything had to be paid for in advance which made me a little nervous! As it turned out, my fears were completely unfounded and we will return to Strachan for the next project!

My review is based solely on the Strachan designer. He turned up in a Range Rover, breezed in with very little small talk and measured up. He then drew a detailed plan, showed us a single product range and some handles and, after confirming that we were happy with his drawing, priced it up. When we pointed out that his price was twice that of Hammonds, he spent 5 minutes rubbishing Hammonds, picked up his drawing and couldn’t get out of the door fast enough, leaving us with just a one-line price estimate.

We were told little about the product or its construction; we had to coax details out of him. He’d probably decided we weren’t going to buy the moment he walked in. If I’m being asked to spend over £10,000 I expect a bit more about the product, not just “We’re the best”.

We are just coming to the end of a project to extend our house. We have worked with Strachan's main competitor and a range of other suppliers to complete the project . We feel able to make a comparison with others.

We have been very pleased with Strachan's and in particular the standard of workmanship. They stand head and shoulders above all the other suppliers we have used.

The member of staff who did the fitting, clearly a master craftsman, Peter of Strachan's White team, was excellent. Our experience is that Strachan's do not employ journeymen. As with many buildings nothing is square in our property and his attention to detail was outstanding. For example he scribed the top wood so it fitted to the (uneven) ceiling. Others had said this was not possible and leaving a dust trap was the only solution. The attention to detail is taken very seriously by this firm - you could mistakenly call them 'old fashioned'. Be prepared to sign off lots of details. .

We were so pleased that we wrote a letter of thanks to the Managing Director. It might be no surprise that this is a family business.

The cost of the project was fully justified.
