Sells animals he doesn’t have
This company struggles to meet the orders it makes. He has an EBay shop which 10% of the reviews are, “didn’t arrive”, “wouldn’t respond” “had to start a PayPal dispute”.
I purchased from his shop directly. I went for eggs which were advertised as in stock. After a few weeks I messaged and he said hopefully would be a couple of weeks. I messaged after 2 months and didn’t even bother responding. I’ve had to ask PayPal to step in. Looks like he concentrates on his eBay customers due to reviews. Who knows if he even has the stock he claims to have.
No where states it will take over 2 months from his “currently In stock section“
The lack of communication has led to this review too.

Hi Jon,
All orders will be supplied unless refunded or cancelled, which customers are free to do at any time. Unfortunately the ebay account was suspended (and listings removed due to live animals policy) so I cannot communicate with customers which is obviously very frustrating for both parties. In any case, you can request a refund from paypal or ebay at any point. Fortunately I am still able to ship orders from click & drop.
Bugs & Butterflies UK is as such no longer trading on ebay however orders are supplied chronologically, first come first served, regardless of where the sale comes from.
It is also worth noting that there is not a ‘currently available’ section on the site, the sections include: pre-sale; British species; Beginners; Eggs & Larvae; Pupae & Cocoons. Dispatch time is quoted as up to 30 working days (6 weeks) due to the somewhat unpredictable nature of breeding butterflies and the very high level of demand. Preorders will often have a longer wait time which is also stated on the site.
