I received a personalised email tempting me to buy an item I have viewed together with a promo code for £10 off.
I tried to use the code ( it worked) but the item was not eligible for the offer.
I chatted with an online agent who just kept apologising and regurgitating the same information

Would have left 0 if i could

Would have left 0 if i could. I ordered sunglasses 8th September and not only have they not arrived, the company said my order would take 2 days to arrive but ended up being shipped from Italy to UK. Not only has the birthday been and gone, ive had the pleasure of watching the sunglasses get more stamps than my passport visiting Carpi, Milano, France and the south of the UK only to go missing for 2 days and end up back in Italy! I WANT A REFUND! Im sick of UPS wasting my time and im sick of Sunglasses Hut live chat every single day for 2 weeks! Why dont you tell customers that what you are ordering aren't in stock in UK? It would put a lot of us off and probably halve your complaints! Never again will I deal with this company its caused nothing but stress!

Having ordered 3 rayban meta glasses

Having ordered 3 rayban meta glasses, totalling £957, they were all not as expected and required returning. Using all 3 prepaid labels, the whole order was sent back almost 4 weeks ago - yet still no refund. CS told me ups had investigated and still i have not been refunded.

Unless you want to loose almost £1000, stay away.

DO NOT RECOMMEND, SCAMMERS.

Bought an item from the company in August - still not received.

Bought an item from the company in August.

It was then lost by the courier and I only received an update when I chased.

Informed the company that I'm leaving the country and when I'll need them by, proceeded to have to wait 48 hours even though I was assured that it would be hastened.

Now it's a month later, I'm £120 out of pocket, and still not received the item. I've asked them to keep it and refund me.

I would highly recommend avoiding.

Sunglass Hut + Oakley = worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with.

Over €100 down the drain. Sunglass Hut (Amsterdam Sugar City Plaza) sold me Oakleys which lenses developed white spots while stored safely. When I raised the issue, both Sunglass Hut and Oakley hid behind expired warranty rules, threw generic copy-paste emails at me, and even suggested the peeling was caused by things like sweat, sunscreen or ‘thousands of chemicals’ (yes, really).
Their big ‘solution’? A 30% discount to spend even more money on the same trash. No refund, no accountability, no responsibility.

Premium prices for disposable products, backed by customer service that treats you like a nuisance. Never again.

Purchased a pair Ray-Ban glasses on…

Purchased a pair Ray-Ban glasses on Saturday 13th September, but as states on there website it would be ready to collect the same day in the reading store, only for them to say that is incorrect and I had to wait 2-5 days, now I received a email this morning to say they cancelled my order because they do not have in stock. Bullshit company waste of time. Will never buy from them again.

Great Art of customer service

It was quite day on Saturday13/9/25. This extraordinary staff(Marlyn or Marylyn Tongan girl) from retail store in manawa bay(sunglasses hut )goes above and beyond to get the customer satisfied while buying pair of glasses.

I guess she should ne appreciated for her immense hard work. She spend more than an hour to help my wife getting her glasses.

Wouldn't let me change delivery address....

My old address was attached to my account and even though I emailed them the day of my purchase they couldn't change it! Made a few purchases either in store and online in the past, never again!

Told to make a 2 hour round trip to a store as website wouldn't let me purchase!

Tried to purchase a few pairs of Meta AI glasses for use at a blind charity for visually impaired people. No matter what payment method I used the transaction would immediately fail so quickly with an error, I knew it wasn't even trying to contact the issuing bank (and I was not getting any failed transaction messages on my banking apps) asked online support who said try again in 24 hours. No difference. Asked online support again. They told me to try ordering fewer pairs. Same issue with only ordering 2 pairs. Emailed customer service who after a couple of days told me the solution was to go to one of their stores and make the purchase instead. This is a two hour round trip for me so it's not happening. Whoever heard of a business where for no given reason the customer simply can't buy items and apparently there's no solution? I've never encountered this before. Avoid.

To the lady working in your 332 Oxford…

To the lady working in your 332 Oxford Street store who rudely told my wife to leave the store when she attempted to shelter for a few moments from a sudden heavy downpour of rain - I purchased my daughters,wife’s and my own sunglasses from your Trafford Centre store but I’ll never spend a penny more of my money with Sunglass Hut ever again - your customer service STINKS !

never do business with this company

never do business with this company. they've been trying to send me a ~$500 refund check supposedly for 3 months now and then after all that they claim check was lost and now I have to wait another potential 3 months and start the cycle over again. They're clearly intentionally trying to avoid paying my refund.

I see two charges in my bank account…

I see two charges in my bank account and I called the store to make sure that information was correct and the person, a woman who I believe is the manager, was extremely rude and said she can't check that over the phone. She never asked me to tell her the number of the order or anything. I just wanted to make sure that double charge was done so I can contact the bank or whatever I need to fix this situation. She just lost a client who has been buying sunglasses there for years (two at the time).

I bought some polarized Oakley's…

I bought some polarized Oakley's online, 2 second's after I bought them I got an email for $20 off my next purchase. Where was this for my first purchase? Then wait for it...I saw a sale at 20 percent off onsite 2 weeks after I purchased, saved me $40 BUT I had to return in store, give them the glasses to SEND BACK. They would not just refund the price difference so now I'm without glasses for 2 weeks and waiting for the FULL refund as I had to do full refund IN STORE then re-buy online. Total pain but at least I'm getting $40 back, in store staff understand how crazy this is but can't do anything as they say online buying is "separate."

I see sunglass hut replied below saying they would "look into it." They need to allow in-store associates to process a rebate on the spot for on-line purchases so people don't need to re-order at the new price. The girls in the store were well aware of the issue and very apologetic but it didn't stop me from having to re-order the glasses and wait. The employees even said "We never have sales like that in-store..."

Very disappointed!

Very disappointed!

Always wanted a pair of Oakley sunglasses so I bought a pair from a Sunglass Hut store. Firstly I was slightly disappointed that I hade to wait for a pair to be delivered to the store. 4 days later the glasses arrived, after collecting them I noticed a crack in one of the lenses. Staff in the store at that time did not know how to conduct a refund, finally after a telephone conversation with who I believe was the manager I received a refund and ordered another pair. A few days later I collected the second pair from the store and found both lenses had a crack in them! Surely staff would have checked these before I travelled back to the store to collect them. Very disappointed as I wanted a new pair of sunglasses for a holiday. Sunglass Hut you need to do better, if I had the chance to give 0 stars I would have.

I bought a pair of Prada sunglasses

I bought a pair of Prada sunglasses. I barely used them just a few times in two months before they broke. No big deal, I thought. Things happen, and since they weren’t snapped in half, I figured they could easily be fixed.

So, I went back to the store. After all, it’s a big, well-known optician. Surely, they would know how to handle it. But what a disappointment… not only did they show zero knowledge about fixing sunglasses, they didn’t even make the effort to contact the provider for a replacement part.

Their “solution”? Offering me a voucher to buy a new pair at half the price of the old one. When I asked again if they could at least try to fix it, the answer was a flat “No, this is broken, it can’t be fixed.” No effort, no attempt, nothing. Just “Buy another one.”

I left frustrated, thinking I would never recommend anyone to buy from them.

And here’s the best part: I went to another optician, someone who actually knew what he was doing. He looked at my sunglasses, did his work and fixed them. Just like that.

Ordered sunglasses online was told by customer care they delivered to Ireland to place the order and then be told they actually don’t , 3& a half weeks later can’t get in touch with anyone about my order so disappointing and such bad service , Asked could I have them shipped to a friend in the uk & was also told no they would get back to me when they hear something about the order and still nothing, not good service atal avoid ordering!!!

Where has the common sense gone?!

I am very disappointed with my recent experience at Sunglass Hut. I bought three pairs of sunglasses (£344 total), using a £200 voucher and £144 on my card. When I returned one pair, only £49 was refunded to my card and £66 was put back on a voucher.

The “solution” offered was to return the other two pairs and re-order them, which feels unnecessarily complicated, time-consuming, and environmentally wasteful. To make matters worse, the sunglasses I want to keep are only available online, so there is a real risk they would sell out before I could re-order once the voucher refund is reissued.

This should have been a simple refund, but instead I’ve been left frustrated, out of pocket, and reconsidering whether to shop with Sunglass Hut again. The matter is still unresolved and I have not heard back from Sunglass Hut in over 24 hours.

I bought sunglasses in the Netherlands…

I bought sunglasses in the Netherlands for €350 and soon noticed gaps/looseness in the frame, which clearly makes them faulty. I never wore them and tried to return them after my holiday. In the store, they refused to take them back, claiming there was a small scratch. I explained several times that the real issue is the frame, not a scratch, but they still refused. Terrible service – I would not recommend this store
When selling, sunglasses should be checked just as strictly as when refusing a return. Customers cannot be expected to know exactly what to check for at the time of purchase.

Sunglasses ordered cancelled

Ordered a pair of sunglasses. Took them around 2 weeks and a few days before delivery to be told that my order had been cancelled as the sunglasses are out of stock. Brilliant management from a large company like this. Only use this company if you want your time wasted.
