Supercard super savings

Supercard offers savings at a wide range of retailers that I use regularly. The rates vary but even those lower savings can add up throughout the year. At a time when prices are going up on almost everything saving a few pounds here and there can really help.

SuperCard & Ideal World - Data information breach?

As with other recent reviews we had £69.99 taken from an account without any authorisation. Discovered an email sent mid November which was in junk mail, “offered” a trial membership of 14 days, which if you did not cancel, would incur a £69.99 charge for membership. Email was only discovered in December after we saw the charge on an account. We have asked Super Card how they had the email and account details and who authorised the payment - we didn’t. They have replied about membership and avoiding the question. Did manage to speak to them and they mentioned Ideal World/ Create & Craft.
So it looks like Ideal Word are linked to Super Card, as mentioned in other reviews. Personal details appear to be shared and Super Card then action a process which if you don’t respond, why would you if it’s in junk mail and you have never heard of them, they debit, without your permission and with bank details you have never provided, your account. Borderline scam?

Disgusting

Disgusting , rang me and said I would recieve £40 cash back for bills . I just have to pay for the postage now I have spoke to my bills and they said they do not know anything like that . Liars and try to take money, I have tried to cancel subscription and they will not let me !!!!

Random charge, disgusting conduct

I signed up to Supercard Black three years ago in 2020, but cancelled shortly after (later in 2020 or 2021). When checking my bank statement recently to my surprise I found a £69.99 payment to Supercard (30th Nov 2023). I tried logging in to my Supercard Black account online, but I wasn't able to as I no longer have an account (makes sense). So I called Supercard Black to enquire/complain - they explained that I had previously been sent an email with a Christmas offer. The offer was for me to pay £69.99 for membership to 'The Christmas Savings Club' so I could access discounts for Christmas shopping. This email - which I searched for in my Inbox and Junk Mail folder but could not locate - apparently explained I was being automatically enrolled into the club and I had a 14-day free trial. And if I didn't want to continue being a member of the club I was supposed to notify them within the 14-day free trial period or else I'd be charged for membership. Ridiculous! Even if I could find the email, what kind of business conduct is this?! Charging me unless I opt out of something I've automatically been enrolled into without my consent! I expressed my deep disappointment on the phone and immediately asked for the membership to be cancelled and a refund to be issued. I was told they would cancel my membership and that they would escalate the case to their operations team to issue me a refund. I wonder for how many other people this type of transaction might get buried by various Christmas shopping transactions and not noticed. Is this a fair way to treat your customers?! My suggestion to address this is to contact every customer who has been charged for joining the 'The Christmas Savings Club' to verify that they accept joining the club and paying the fee having been enrolled automatically like I was. I will provide an update here if/when I get my refund and/or hear back from this company.

Fraudulent payments

Was mis-sold this membership via create and craft(ideal world) I was told if was vouchers for my account and told nothing about a membership and payment. This was over a year ago the incident was dealt with and I received my money back. But and a big but I was told all of my information was remover from there system which I believe until I checked my online banking and Friday yo see that they had taken £69.99 out of my account without my permission. I have sent emails left voicemail's as apparently they are unavailable to take calls because of training, and I have had no reply. I have contacted my bank and because I don't have anything in writing to show that the subscription was cancelled when this last happened their is nothing they can do unless I can get hold of the company.

This company swiped my card

This company swiped my card. Three years after I canceled my membership, they swiped my credit card again for £69.99. I don’t know why. No one answered the call to customer service and no reply to the email!

Someone has fraudulently used my credit…

Someone has fraudulently used my credit card for this company I cannot get hold of them to cancel despite numerous phone calls and emails update this is a payment through something we bought through Ideal World in 2020 so be very careful what you agree to the company have reimbursed our payment and deleted our account our main concern is that ideal world have obviously passed our credit card details to this Company🤬🤬🤬

I look forward to my annual free hotel…

I look forward to my annual free hotel stay, this October was my 2nd time, the hotels are clean and cosy with my first one being a very large room at The Double Tree by Hilton London ExCel, the only disappointment with that room was the view, I had a view of the back of the hotel,a room at the front of the hotel to have the view of the River Thames would have made it perfect but I would definitely stay there again and the other 1 being this October at the kings head Hotel soho was a smaller room ,very clean and cosy, not much of a view but again I would stay there again. There's loads of savings to be made with shops, cafes, restaurants, well worth the annual fee , Sonia Morris.

Great discounts but app needs improving

Great discounts available on the app but the app itself definitely needs improving. It’s quite fiddly to navigate and doesn’t have a search button to quickly find the discount you want unless it’s already saved as one of your Favourites. Would love to see more supermarkets available and better discounts on the existing ones.
