Hello supercuts!
Hello supercuts!! I had recently booked a keratin treatment and got it done at illford supercuts on 20th August. The outcome is not at all satisfying . Firstly, there was no consultation happened to dicuss or understand the treatment outcome. The receptionist called me up for patch test which is not required for a keratin treatment as informed by one of the colleagues at supercuts. My hair is still very wavy and I'm really upset about it. Being a student I still tried to afford for the amount to get keratin treatment thinking it's a reputed brand and services would be excellent , however I invested my money in wrong place and received a unhappy services . I would give zero rating and really unhappy with the treatment. If the management requires any pictures to prove my dissatisfaction I will be happy to share. My hair really upsets me whenever I see it or touch it. I could not explain the dissatisfaction I'm going through
Turned away twice
This is the second time I have been turned away by staff.
I have always come to Supercuts and had my fringe cut here, fringe only - as I am trying to grow my hair longer.
The fringe cut only took no more than 7 minutes from start to finish! So I was so happy that I can pop in and out quickly esp as i work 9-5 shifts; the staff are usually nice and accommodating.
About a week and so ago, I arrived at 4:30 to an empty salon with 2 of staff members on the computer - I said hello and stated I wanted a quick fringe cut. The lady (who normally cuts my fringe) said "we can't do it, we're closing, come back tomorrow" with her hand up as if telling me to get out.
On their opening times it says - the store closes at 5:30. :(
The second time I went, yesterday, I arrived at quarter to 4; I even joined the queue prior to arriving (online check in) and it said the waiting time is 23 minutes.
I arrived, and there was one staff with a client and ?her mom, just finishing, chatting away. The staff saw me come in and I sat down.
After about 10-15 minutes they finished, paid and left; she asked me what I wanted to have done, and I asked for a fringe cut.
She sullenly looked at her computer and said she couldn't fit me in as she's fully booked for the day - there was no one else in the salon!
I was so disheartened and very disappointed. I even said, really a quick fringe cut as it was getting into my eyes, but she still turned me away. So why was it that I was able to join the queue online only to be turned away when i got there?
Walk in, but only with an appointment!
Not sure why they advertise a walk in service in Kirkcaldy because they certainly don’t provide one! Went in at around 11.15, two people having their hair done, no one else in the salon. I was told they had nothing until after 2pm. I said I thought it was a no appointment, walk in salon. Yes we don’t make appointments, so why can’t I be seen until after 2? Because of the people I have coming in who have booked, so appointments? No, just people who are coming in, are they here? No, the very definition of an appointment. So what if I go back at 2 and more people have made these not appointments? Will be going elsewhere thanks.
I am extremely disappointed and upset…
I am extremely disappointed and upset after my recent visit to this salon in Coventry. This was my second time going there, and all I wanted was a simple wash and blow dry. To my shock, the hairstylist, Elvisa, told me that I shouldn't come back because doing my hair "makes her unhappy." I have never felt so humiliated in my life.
Nowhere on their website does it state that they don't cater to Black hair, and if they have an issue with it, they should make that clear before accepting appointments. Why did they wait until I was already in the chair, with my hair half done, to drop this bombshell on me? The lack of professionalism and basic respect is appalling.
This experience has left me feeling both hurt and dumbfounded. It's 2024, and the fact that I have to deal with this kind of blatant bias and exclusion is beyond unacceptable. I would not recommend this salon to anyone, especially if you have textured or Black hair. They clearly do not value or respect all their clients. Avoid this place at all costs.
Fantastic first haircut
Fantastic first haircut for my four year old in Ilford. We were welcomed in and my daughter was made to feel at ease. She was given a proper quality haircut and her hair was styled (no heat). She left feeling very happy and special. Thank you!
Excellent
I have been using this supercuts for about five years now. My old Hairdresser left and so I had a new Hairdresser Called Olivia. She is Brilliant and she does exactly what you ask. I am very pleased with all the hair cuts I've had with her.

Absolutely horrific experience! I booked an appointment for a 3year old and wrote in the comments while booking that it was for 3yo toddler. My daughter was looking forward to her haircut as we had been discussing this for a few weeks before booking the appointment.
We arrived at the salon and were both sitting there, infront of us was a lady brushing some hair off the floor. She gave us a cold stare and then went off to do something esle. A few moments later she came to the front section of the shop and started speaking with a member of staff sitting at the reception. She then started walking towards us while still facing her colleague. She stood infront of us facing him and talking to him for a couple of minutes. All this while, I was wondering if this is the lady who is meant to be cutting my daughter's hair. Finally, she asked us to come over with her and took us straight to the chair. She asked me if my child ever had hair cut before and I said yes but it was not by her nor it was in this salon so it is our first time here. She pulled a seat booster and I tried to make my daughter sit there who started crying. And this lady, I believe her name Tanya, said she can't cut my daughter's hair because it's dangerous for her and she told me to speak with her about getting hair cut before bringing her for a haircut. Not sure why she assumed that we hadn't speaking about this before while she made no effort make her feel comfortable, instead making it worse for her.
I said sure, ofcourse I see your point. But this is a three year old child and I can speak with her about this as much as I want but she needs to build trust with you and feel comfortable with you as well whereas you are approaching and treating her like an adult. She kept telling me to speak with my child while making no effort at all to make her feel relaxed and comfortable rather she made the whole atmosphere tense and uncomfortable with her rudeness and disrespectful mannerism. She lacked any etiquette or professionalism. She said to me if I wanted to have an argument with her and I said no I do not want an argument but really look at your attitude and think how a child can feel safe and comfortable with you to trust you enough to a point that they let you cut their hair. And then she said "I don't want to cut your child's hair, Go!". She could told me the same thing in a different and much better way. Her attitude left me feel discriminated from the moment we walked through the doors of the salon but more critically my child was horrified. Her colleagues kept apologising but it's not their fault. It clearly seemed she did not want deal with us from the moment we went in and she didn't even want to look at us or speak with us. Extremely unkind and unpleasant! It was my first time here and safe to say will be the last one.
Excellent service
Excellent service, little time to wait due to efficient booking system.
Got the haircut I wanted after a short consultation and questions during the cut, I felt understood and my trust paid off.
Supercuts Lewisham
I visited this salon 5/6 times and every time I received different types of services. I usually do haircuts nothing else so don’t bother searching for a new salon and go there. This time I came back without doing anything because of their poor service. I washed my hair this morning and went to the salon and asked for either drycut/ cut and blowdry. They said I have to book Wash cut and blowdry. I explained I washed it this morning so no point of washing my hair again you can spray water to wet them. They said no your hair is thick we need to wash them. So basically they are saying they need to wash my hair just to earn the money apart from the fact my hair is already washed. You can’t wash hair multiple times right. I asked her last time you guys did drycuts and sprayed water to cut my hair sometimes as well. She replied that’s not the rules. My hair is very thin now as it’s coloured and bleached. Don’t know how she commented here it’s thick without even touching. But I clearly understood they wanted to make money here and not to take care of client’s hair. And this happened after waiting for almost an hour for the service. I left the salon without doing anything and not gonna come back in future. Poor customer service and not recommended to anybody
Uneven haircuts
Uneven haircuts, bad hairdressing skills, lack of manners
Rude staff bad service
The booking system was not working correctly. Our booking with Claire for my son's hair cut was messed up by this. Instead of apologising for the error and asking us if we wanted to come back later, she grumbled and moaned about the system & not having any lunch and how her boss was due in and would take up her afternoon. She did my son's hair but continued to grumble about everything, consequently my son's hair is not what he asked for. She was passive aggresive and highly opininated and rude. My son is neurodivergent with severe anxieties and was too scared to say anything. We will never set foot in Supercuts again.
Lovely hairstylist, but wonky fringe
Hairstylist at Swindon was lovely and is always a joy. I enjoy going to the salon usually. Unfortunately this occasion, I don’t know what happened. I went in for a fringe trim and a trim on my ends (I have a full fringe) and whilst in the salon my hair looked fine but when I got out I realised my fringe was wonky. Now waiting for it to grow out as it looks a little silly. Not a massive deal as it tends to grow back quick but I felt a little miffed at paying £22 for a fringe and hair trim for it not to be right. Just such a shame about the fringe, as the hairstylist was so lovely.
What a delight!
Ria (sorry if i spelt that wrong) At Peterborough store queensgate is such a lovely lady. I walked in, was served in a matter of minutes, she was so welcoming, listened to exactly what i wanted. And at such a great price too, will definitely be back. Ria’s a credit to the team, thank you for giving me a wonderful haircut! :)
Sasha in Camberely..
Sasha in Camberely was absolutely fantastic! Manage to make me feel incredible after 4 years of no cuts! Her energy and good vibes fill the salon with a happy positive atmosphere! Couldn't ask for more!
Excellent haircut
Excellent haircut. The stylist, Kelly, really listened to me and what I wanted to achieve.
Kelly was very personable and, at the same time, very professional.
