Understaffed, stupid QR code internet queuing implementation.

I visited the Hempstead Valley branch for the first time in around 20 years today as I was in the area with a few hours to kill and really needed my hair cut. There used to be a time when you could just walk in, ask how long the wait is and sit down for your turn. This time - “oh, you need to scan the QR code to book your slot”. Scan the QR code? For a hair cut?! I’d used up my data allowance for the month, so I had no internet so asked if I could book without it - “no, you need the internet to get a message when it’s your turn”!! Arghhhh!!!

So instead of just walking in for a haircut, you now need a phone and the internet connected. I’m pretty clued up with technology, but what happens if, say, an elderly person needs their hair cut now? Tough!

Also I’ve noticed at a different branch (I also used go to the Chatham branch a lot) that EVERY TIME I’ve gone for a cut the last 2-3 years that there’s only one person working in there. The last 3-4 times I’ve been turned away as they’re fully booked up. Well get some more staff!

So their marketing of “just walk-in” is nonsense and I’m really surprised the Chatham branch is still making any money (Cellys is always packed out in comparison) and hasn’t closed.

Either have set appointments like most professional hair salons, or use the old fashioned way of “just walk-in” where you’d be put on a list of it was busy. Having both systems at the same time doesn’t work as with the latter people expect to just walk in and get a haircut fairly quickly instead of faffing around on their phone, then have to wait hours, or maybe even just get turned away completely.

great salon

I visited Supercuts Farnborough today the 24th of April 2024, after a very short wait, I was invited in polite and welcoming staff. When I was in the salon, my sister went off around town to do some shopping, I am visually impaired the lady who cut my hair was lovely she explained what she was doing and we had a lovely chat, will definitely be having my hair cut again here.

booking queue defeated by staff.

I booked , through your system , as I had used this several times successfully before. But for some reason, the Holloway branch don't seem to use the online queuing system... I waited over 30 mins after the system told me I was due. During this time at least 2 other people were served, before me, even though they arrived in the salon after me. . When I asked what had happened, the staff told me, rather rudely, that these people had been in earlier and returned for their appointment. I can only explain this through nepotism or misuse of the queue system... I shall NOT go again.

i visited your salon today around 11am…

i visited your salon today around 11am with my toddler and newborn baby, i asked the young lady if they had any slots she said they have non for 3months which i found odd. So i walked out and i called the salon directly (i have put screenshots of my call list) so the same young lady magically offers me an appoint fof my child for tomorrow with 3 differ times and i went ahead and booked for 10am tomorrow (21/3/24).
I was very upset because it felt like she declined me an appointment because of how i look, maybe because i wear a hijab! So i went back to supercuts and confronted her, i went around 11.30am, the lady refused to give me her name and she rolled her eyes whilst i told her how i felt, she still declined an appointment so i walked out all frustrated, i then though i might have called the wrong branch so i called back and same young lady answered and confirmed it was the ilford xchanhe mall level 2 salon.
I am very appalled with the way I was treated i have 2 young girls who look up to all these young women" it's a shame it 2024 and there's still people like this! I definitely will not be using supercuts anymore! Such a shame as I've been a customer since age 11 myself and I am 31! 20yrs!!!

Hideous experience rude staff who don’t seem to want to do anything…..

Hideous experience at the Hempstead Valley salon (if you can call it that) not one customer in the shop had to wait, didn’t get text because of the signal in the shopping centre so were 3 minutes late - still no one in the shop and we were told we had missed our slot … this was for my two year old grandson
Staff (both) very rude and I was accused of damaging the door when leaving - when I returned to ask them to delete my number (from a GDPR point of view ) from the system that’s my right- this was refused - will be looking into this as well… two staff not wanting to do anything that’s for sure !! AVOID THIS SHOP !! That’s before even getting a hair cut!!

Booked a haircut for this morning with…

Booked a haircut for this morning with Zara as a new client, for a pixie cut. I was diverted to another stylist after I showed a picture of a cut I needed. Have to say it was the most disappointing experience I have had, as the end result was far far from the style I was after, way to short, quite uneven and wasn’t blended in as I have explained from the start. Very frustrating and actually felt sick paying £48.

Absolutely AWFUL!

Supercuts in Ilford was honestly the worst experience I have had with any salon. The stylist named Zara, was incredibly unprofessional, lacked any sort of customer service skills and was extremely rude!! I booked my 5 year old daughter for a haircut. We were 7 minutes late due to traffic. Zara refused to wash the hair. Thereafter, when I said I wanted layers on my daughter’s hair, she questioned my preference and asked why do I want that. After she had cut her hair, I told her it’s too long and I’m not happy with the length and she needs to cut it a little shorter. She had the audacity to say no! When I told her I’m unhappy and it needs to be shorter as I’ve just said, she said ‘oh I need to do the whole thing again’ while huffing and puffing. I was honestly appalled at her behaviour. She really should not be working in a job which requires any sort of customer service or any professionalism as she clearly lacks both! I would definitely steer clear of booking your haircut with Zara in the Ilford branch! I certainly will not be returning there ever again!

Why is it when you turn up to your check in time, you are made to feel like they don't really have time for you and it's an inconvenience. Then I get all this stuff about because I want one layer I have to go up a level and have my hair washed. It wasn't that last time I went. I just want a dry hair cut, a trim off the end and one layer. I didn't bother. Lost me as a customer. Poor service and attitude. I'll take money to somewhere that appreciates it. Yeah I'm just one in a million and you'll probably survive without my custom.

Supercuts, Bluewater

I go to the Bluewater, Greenhithe Supercuts. My hairdresser there is Leah and she is lovely. I've been going to this salon for a very long time and Leah is the best hairdresser I have had. She knows my hair. She knows exactly what I want done which makes it so easy for me. She is always friendly. I would highly recommend the salon from my experience.

Leeds Merrion Centre

Leeds Merrion Centre. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Haircut not remotely like what I asked for. Went back a couple of days later and the other stylist said there wasn’t much else she could do with it. Complained to customer services and was told I wasn’t styling it right! Can’t style what isn’t there. Paid over £45 and had to get it corrected elsewhere.

I went to super cuts merryhill in…

I went to super cuts merryhill in September with my child who has autism the hairdresser was great. I went on the 31st December and the hairdresser was awful left with half a hair cut which I could’ve done better myself. My child was nervous he’s always a bit nervous with hair cuts but this hairdresser didn’t deal well with his nerves she was so slow and kept stopping throughout which just perpetuated my sons discomfort. Every time he made a slight movement she’d have to take a break she was acting as if she’d only ever cut the hair of mannequins. I have done my son’s hair better in the past. I paid for a professional service which I didn’t receive. I’d never use super cuts again it’s probably the worst cut he’s ever had. Also when I mention my sons autism she thought that was a great time to say that she doesn’t want to carry on for his mental health. Completely disagree I think my son is entitled to the whole service and just because she’s uncomfortable with my sons movement and crying because he doesn’t like the feel of hairs on his neck doesn’t mean she should give him less of a service. Honestly if I didn’t do things because he was uncomfortable he’d never have a nappy change, never brush his teeth, the lack of awareness and shockingly bad service was incredible. I’ve got to go take him to a professional now like shortcuts in Cradley Heath because they know how to cut a child’s hair. Took me a couple of weeks to complain but looking at my sons hair today reminded me to book with shortcuts.

I am a regular customer of super cuts

I am a regular customer of super cuts Birmingham bullring . On my previous visit I was served by jenny who understood my curly ethnic hair and her customer service was really good so I also bought other products she recommended.on the visit. However I was deeply disappointed on my visit today the girl who I think was polish I’m not sure though because she hardly spoke to me she had her hair short I think and a light colour she’s was their this afternoon when I went in .
I’m very unhappy as this lady apart from ask me what I wanted done didn’t speak another word to me. I felt so uncomfortable throughout the whole ordeal and my hands were clenched throughout with nerves . I don’t think she had a clue how to cut my hair and when I tried to talk to her twice during my visit she either didn’t hear me or it went straight into the ether . I have never had an experience like this before in supercuts and for the price you pay I think she should have showed me a bit of interest . Needless to say I didn’t buy any other add on products because she didn’t talk to me throughout the whole time. I think that this will be my last visit as I couldn’t wait to get out of there and I’m not too happy with my hair either she left it wringing wet with a half attempt to dry it and the mere fact she treated me this way has ruined the experience for me . I am Deeply disappointed supercuts you are better than this .
