AVOID!!

If I could have given no stars I would! Terrible company, awful customer service. Excuse after excuse and only given updates after I had chased them up. Placed order 08/03 with a few weeks delivery.. eventually after many emails instigated by myself, pushed on dates of delivery etc etc received my garden furniture in August with a “free furniture cover” of no use whatsoever as it was far too big! Dreadful company, would never use, or recommend

DO NOT BUY FROM SWAGGER HOME FURNISHING

Avoid this company like the plague!

Ordered garden furniture and after it never arrived I emailed them to enquire as to where it was. Although they did reply in a timely manner it was very unhelpful and full of excuses and mixed messages. I then received an email cancelling my order! They said that I would receive my refund within the usual 7- 10 working day which I didn’t!!! I again chased them and was told they issued the refund and they wouldn’t do anything further and I would have to despite this with my bank.

So finally three months from my initial order and going via my bank I have my money back. I don’t believe for one minute they had issued my refund which resulted in lots of my time being wasted filing out forms and liaising with my bank.

This had been very stressful and frustrating and would not wish anyone to experience the same.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVEN IF YOUR…

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVEN IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!! The 6 months of endless catastrophe and outrageously bad customer service, all the while with a pile of boxed up wardrobe in our hallway, was the worst shopping experience of my life (and I’ve been to Lidl on a Saturday before Christmas!). This kind of ‘company’ should be shut down!!

Awful service.

What happened to everyone else happened to me I got in touch with my bank yesterday, filled the form in and I've got my money back to day took 5 mins with bank highly recommend speaking to your bank and tell them you've been told to request a section75 Refund.

Placed an order in early April only to…

Placed an order in early April only to be told in a generic email in May that the order would not be fulfilled and to seek a refund by a Section 75 claim which takes a minimum of 120 days. Not the way to treat any customer!
Emails and phone calls not answered, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

Swagger Furnishings

Then received email this morning stating change of ownership and to contact bank for refund - so they had no intention of ever delivering the product or giving me a refund. Website has now disappeared surprise surprise. Shocking!!

Wish I'd seen this review page before!

Ordered an item on 9th May through Swagger Home Furnishings (who I now note are showing on this page as Kemp Mathis Limited)

Heard nothing for over a week about delivery so tried to call (number invalid) and then emailed. Received an email back stating 'courier issues' and would I like to wait out the delay or refund. Replied immediately asking how long the delay would be, and received no reply.

Have today received a clearly templated email saying due to a change in ownership the order has to be cancelled and a refund has been raised. They also then go on to recommend I make a claim via my bank to 'speed up the process' which is basically their way of saying they won't be refunding the money to me.

This is clearly fraud, and I have reported to trading standards. Please do the same if you are one of the commenters below. If you haven't ordered already, AVOID THIS FAKE COMPANY.

Please avoid for your own sake

Similar experience to everyone else I’m afraid. Placed order in Jan for an item that was “in stock” according to website.

Got emailed the next day to say there was a mistake and item wouldn’t be in till mid March so replied I was happy to wait.

Heard nothing so chased up end of March and was given another date, chased up after that date and was told it had arrived damaged to them (obviously a lie)

I asked for refund so I could buy something elsewhere and was told it would be processed right away and my money would be back with me in 5-10 days. It’s day 21 today and I’ve not had a penny back and they’ve ignored 2 emails about it.

Anyone know the best legal route to go down ?

Not sure they exist !!!

Not sure they exist !!!! They don’t reply to emails, I’ve asked 3 times where my order is and no reply. I wish there was a branch of the police I could complain to.
Very unhappy.
So all of a sudden they do exist, some apology about their courier service, they offered a discount or a refund. I chose a refund, let’s see when/ if that happens.
Now they say they are unable to deliver, that they have requested a refund but I have to contact my bank to speed things up.
APPALLING. STAY AWAY !!!

We are still waiting for our furniture or a response...…

We are still waiting for our furniture we ordered on 25/04/22 which said it would be delivered in 5-10 days. We were told it was with the warehouse ready for delivery on 8/05/22 but when we called to ask where it was they said they don't know they will need to contact their supplier. They quote fast delivery on their website but this is far from the truth and we were not once contacted to be informed of the delay or an apology we have to call them which they are really difficult to get hold off. We are still waiting for an update on our order.

Having to leave another review as this…

Having to leave another review as this seems to be the only way this company will respond to customers. Despite replying to my below review I have not had confirmation of my refund and certainly no update on the order I made in February for over £5500. Please think twice before using this company.

BAD, BAD, BAD. NO ITEM, NO REFUND, NO COMMUNICATION

I ordered a garden furniture set at a cost of over £3k. The money was taken straight away and I was lead to believe it would be a few weeks wait to receive my item. The indicative delivery date came and went and since then I have been emailing on average once a week to get updates. It's now been two months and I have been repeatedly told the item is ready for despatch and I will be contacted by the courier to arrange a delivery date. This never happens and more weeks pass and now I feel unable to believe what I am told. It has now got to the point where they are not returning my emails and calls and I feel like I have been duped. I just wish I had done my research and listened to all the negative reviews out there of people in exactly the same position. If I don't hear from them in the next few days, I will be taking action against the company unfortunately. I've never experienced such poor customer service before.

Thank you Swagger home furnishings for you your friendly and helpful staff. I brought my garden furniture and am so pleased with the quality and comfort. I have already recommended Swagger to my friends and would not hesitate to buy from Swagger again

Dishonest, misleading and horrid customer service

Horrible experience. Bought a piece of furniture. Received an email a few days later telling me it was not in stock and not sure when it would be again. Retailer then lists same item as in stock a week later with 7-14 day delivery at twice the price. When querying this they say it’s a 12-16 week lead time from supplier. However, they refuse to change this on their website so they’re being dishonest, refusing to be transparent and hugely misleading customers to say the least. Abysmal behaviour. They are now ignoring calls and emails from me. No pride in their brand and extremely shameless.

Unbelievably bad experience

Unbelievably bad experience
Ordered a Desk in January as item was quoted as in stock, was cheaper elsewhere but in stock so paid the extra
Then got an email saying out of stock until mid Feb
after chasing was told it's finally arrived in Swagger homes warehouse but lots off with covid ( a lie don't have a warehouse its dropped shipped from imported)
Then told for another three weeks it was with courier and I'd get a call arranging delivery in 5 to 9 days
Outcome it's April now and been told it was with manufacture? and would be dispatched following week for deliver 5 to 9 days after that. Well as you expect I cancelled the order due to constant lies and failure to deliver.
Company's house states only 2 employees this is not what you expect when reviewing the website.
Only positive was after cancelling my money was returned within a few days

I ordered a item of furniture during lock down and the order was delayed but the communication and updates from this company were excellent! Love the furniture such great quality and great price! I found the item for a cheaper price and they matched it! Can’t fault them!
I would defo order from them again and recommend to family and friends.

Ordered on furniture just before lockdown.

Ordered on furniture just before lockdown. As we all know things took a little longer to arrive and to be fair to swagger they were straight on the phone to tell us this. We were offered a refund but there was no point just stick with it and ride the storm and I'm so glad we did. Communications were brilliant. Delivery was spot on time. Packaging was fantastic nothing was getting through that and so easy to assemble.
Would definetly order stuff again due to their high customer service and honesty
5* Swagger.

Sorry to hear you have had a negative experience, unfortunately when stocking over 20,000 separate products, descrepencies in stock levels can occur. The product page on the website specifically advises to check in with a member of the customer services team to check on the latest lead times to make sure that the advertised times are up to date and that the product is availble.

This advice is placed on every product page under the delvery timeframe, had you sent us a quick email or made a quick call to check on the products availability a member of the team would have advsied yuo on the current time frame before the order was made.
