Swallows Independent Jaguar Reviews 

We would definitely NOT recommend the carsales team at Swallows Independent Jaguar. On 22 July we messaged via the Autotrader App that we were interested in a Jaguar they listed for sale. We received an automated reply. The following morning, 23 July, we received email from Jack Robinson of the Jaguar Independent carsales team thanking us for our interest and confirming that the car was still for sale.
We then called and spoke to Jack for further details. One hour later we sent an email confirming our interest in the car and confirming we could view it the following day. We made Jack aware that we lived 90miles away.
Prior to viewing as arranged, and given the distance that we had to travel on 24 July we attempted to call the dealership to confirm that the car was still available and to advise our ETA. We didn’t get confirmation from Jack until 11.30am. We then drove to their dealership.
On arrival Jack informed us that another party had placed a deposit on the car!!
At no time did Jack inform us that other parties were even interested in the car. We would have placed a deposit on it had we been informed. Jack knew that we were enroute and were coming from afar and still neglected to inform us that he had accepted a deposit. We initially thought it was a mix up within their carsales team. However Chris advised my wife that all carsales go through Jack and it was up to him. Chris wasn't interested at all in the issue, despite the fact we had spoken to him in the morning to confirm that they were going to be open for a viewing.
This was an extremely frustrating experience that could have been avoided if only Jack had kept us informed. We feel that their customer service in the sales team is seriously lacking and as a result we would not recommend that anyone drive over to view a car with them unless they are prepared to be ­disappointed. To back up our statements above the Jaguar we wanted is still listed for sale, the following day!!

This was my first visit to Swallows and I was delighted with every aspect of my experience. I was given a friendly welcome and shown around their impressive site. My car problems were fully discussed and I was particularly pleased to inspect the underside of my car and meet the mechanic who would be working on my car. I was provided with a replacement car for the day ( at no charge) and I was kept informed of their diagnosis and progress. All my problems were resolved beyond my expectations and my car was even valeted before handing back to me! In summary an excellent professional and friendly service and also very good value.Highly recommended

Amazing professional garage that specialise in Jaguar.
Did a great job on my major service for the F pace and saved my £200 off normal dealership prices.
They used all guenuine Jaguar parts, recorded the service on the Jaguar system, updated the car computer.
Chris is amazing, very professional and always happy to help.

Swallows serviced my XJR on Friday. The first time I have been to them and they solved a number of long-term problems that a Jaguar main dealer had not been able to solve, even after spending many £1000's with them in the past. These people are more knowledgeable about Jaguars than any main dealer that I have ever been to, and provide a truly great service at a great price

I will not hesitate to recommend Swallows as could not rate them more highly. I will definitely be using them for all servicing or repairs going forward and wish I had found out about them years ago.

From my initial enquiries before I decided to go with Swallows for my performance upgrades, It was clear they were not only very knowledgeable about Jaguar tuning but had a passion for them which was important to me. I drove nearly 200 miles to take my car and waited while they performed the upgrades. They were incredibly hospitable, talked me through everything they were doing and showed me around some of the lovely performance cars that they had there.

I've been using Swallows for a few years now to service my Jaguar XF and XFR.
Service is always excellent, always friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and keen to help.
I've recently had one of their performances exhausts fitted to my XFR and it sounds amazing.
I'd definitely recommend Swallows for mechanical and performance work.

Excellent and friendly service. Crucially, also very knowledgeable about everything Jaguar, so able to give good advice about repair options - seemingly without an eye on what might bring most revenue to Swallows in the short term.

Which no doubt brings much repeat business in the longer term. I wish more companies (not just car companies) adopted that approach.

The initial experience and customer service was very good and I was happy with the changes made. Unfortunately, the fuel consumption dropped at a rate that economically I wasn't happy with (it dropped at least five to the gallon) and when I came back to alter the changes in hopes of improving the fuel consumption it didn't really work. Because of this I asked for a call back from one of the staff and I never got one, which left me a bit disappointed.

Friendly, knowledgeable and experienced staff throughout who have made my XF even more of a joy to drive. A great team that I would recommend to anyone. NL

Fast, efficient and friendly service to diagnose and repair an issue on my 2095 Jag S-Type.
The price was right too.
Was offered a loaner whilst my car was being attended to. Highly recommended!

Swallows have looked after my jaguar(s) for the past 16 years - consistently excellent service at very reasonable rate, and unfailingly pleasant and helpful.
A good example of their can-do approach is salvaging broken electrical connectors (mouse-chewed in my case!) from their vast store of spares vehicles to avoid expensive loom changes that main dealers opt for.

Always a pleasure to go there - I couldn't rate them more highly.

The whole team were very helpful and knowledgeable, involved me in the procedure and explaining what was going on and expected results. Top notch...

From the first point of contact they were extremely professional and helpful. Once the car was dropped off they explained everything, provide courtesy car & again when service was complete spent the time explaining everything. I would not hesitate in recommending them or using them again.

First visit
My first experience of Swallows was generally positive. Very friendly, helpful guys. the job was completed and now all is well. The only 'down side' that prevents me giving 5 stars was that they failed to have the car ready to collect at the agreed time but, in their defence, I was called by them to explain that a component part of the job was found to be incorrectly provided by their supplier and the job would be delayed until the supplier delivered the correct item.
