I enjoyed my experience with Sweetwater.com

I enjoyed my experience on Sweetwater.com Troy Baldwin was my sales engineer and he was really helpful and he was a pleasure to talk to I actually unintentionally kept him on the phone for an hour and I still feel bad for doing that overall I had an outstanding experience with Sweetwater.com everyone there is so nice and polite and hopefully the song stairway to Heaven isn't banned at sweetwater because that is an excellent song by Led Zepplin and it's one of my favorite songs by Led Zepplin the Guitar playing is going awesome Thank you so much for the Excellent Customer service and support Everything is going great with the Guitar playing!

Scam credit card

You will be charged fees from the very start with the sweetwater credit card.

These fees are part of the mycard security program which is partnered with synchrony bank who sweetwater uses for their card. The fees cost more than any interest charge you will pay but you will be paying from the start. You can only opt out and get a full refund after 90 days.

Supposedly this is supposed to cover the cost of your balance if you can't pay.

All it does is make your balance more bloated than the interest.

Love this place:

Love this place! They do everything to accommodate? Rarely seen today. Sales and Instrument knowledge is outstanding! With online competitors and people gaining their info and shopping elsewhere, they have patience and are always considerate. You cannot beat their integrity, period!

Ive bought two guitars from them and…

I've bought two guitars from them and both had issues. The first is a Breedlove acoustic bass they never checked electronics on and it took two months to get a replacement. Had to get Breedlove involved. And now I just received a new Sire bass I paid for the Plek Pro setup and every string buzzes open and all up to the 7th fret. What a ripoff.

None US VISA cards are rejected

Wanted to purchase 2 books (something I did a year or two before without problems). But Sweetwater seems to have a new credit card verification system which only accepts US ZIP codes. So if you're from outside the US you're f*cked.

Contacted the supprt and they said I should use Paypal, which I don't want to use because of several reasons.

So, for me: Sweetwater is dead. No more purchases there.

UPDATE: My bank called me today. After the failed transaction with Sweetwater my credit card was temporary locked and it'll take the whole weekend bevore it's unlocked again. Sorry guys, I often ordered somethin in the US and have several software subscriptions there. Never been a problem. Just with sweetwater. Very annoying when your card gets locked!

Sweetwater is the best

Sweetwater is the best, without fail. My sales rep is Maxx Rapp, if you ever need a customer service trainer for your staff then Maxx would be your top choice. Here’s looking at you Sweetwater, your service could be even better by having Maxx lead customer experience classes. 11/10, that’s right…this review goes to 11. Overall, I have always had great experiences when dealing with Sweetwater, thanks so much for everything.

Outstanding service and product selection.

In my humble opinion, Sweetwater is the only place to shop music. I only wish they had more physical stores so I could enjoy buying from them in person. That said, the service is so very good that it completely offsets the lack of in person options. Give them a try, if you haven't already.

I placed an order for a Canon G7 X Mark…

I placed an order for a Canon G7 X Mark III on December 17th with an expected delivery date of December 22nd. After being informed the item was out of stock, I chose to wait based on guidance from Sweetwater.

On January 6th, I was told by a representative that an open-box unit was available and would ship first thing the next morning. When I did not receive a shipping confirmation and called to follow up, I was informed that the unit had been sold to someone else.

This was extremely frustrating, as I made my decision to continue waiting based on information provided by Sweetwater. I have since emailed to request escalation but have not yet received a response.

I’ve always heard good things about Sweetwater, which makes this experience disappointing. I’m hoping this can be resolved appropriately.

Be Cautious

Usually SW has good customer service! But this time it was not the case! I do not want to generalize becasue there are some decent sales engineer, but the one I talked to this time was definitely not. I paid for a order via a link online, and I did not get a confimation letter. I called to make sure that the payment went through. This sales engineer barely listens to my concern and all what they keep saying "We do not have a history of your order, I can put a new one for you". I addressed my concern that I just want to make sure that the money ($+1500) went to the right party, maybe "it needs more time to be processed", but they refuse to listen. All what he wants to do is to put a new order. I requested to speak to the person I spoke to earlier (Mitch - who sent the original link) but he hung up on me.

What a service!

Incredible Customer Care & Product!

In October, Hunter helped me purchase a Yamaha Arius for my son's Christmas gift. We successfully hid it in plain sight for two and a half months in a downstairs closet covered in blankets and purposeful mess!

He's been using my 20 year-old small keyboard his whole life, I've had it since the month he was born.

When he sat down to play the Arius, it was like an otherworldly experience! The weight of the keys, the feel, and the ability to get so high and low in range blew him away. He has played the most beautiful music on this thing.

I cannot thank Hunter enough for the help. He answered my multiple calls and emails, he walked me through the specs of the piano, his thoughts, the process, everything. And knowing it was a surprise that wouldn't be revealed for two months, he cared so much about the shipping process. He helped me track to hide it from my son.

The keyboard itself is stunning, it looks like a gorgeous piece of furniture and fills the house with stunning sound.

I'll never use anyone but Sweetwater! Hunter, you're incredible.

We ordered something small(trumpet oil) and Sweetwater went above and beyond to reach out and let us know our order was processed and will be sent out. Sent a Thank you candy bag and a cool sticker to put on my son’s trumpet case. You guys are doing great business

Top Notch

I placed an online order and shortly after received a phone call from Sweetwater. I appreciated that they took the time to call and talk about what I was looking for and what I may be looking for in the future. I don't see this kind of customer service with internet orders. They were very kind, helpful, and my order was delivered fast. I am very happy overall and would highly recommend. If there is anything I need musically, this is my go-to place. Thank you!
