I ordered two Uglies costumes from Swimshop (part of Sports Direct). One costume was not the item ordered. When queried the response I received was, "Having checked the status of this order I can see that this item was a multi item and is displayed on our website advising that 'The colour you receive may vary from the image shown'."
I checked the website as I didn't recall seeing this message and I found it hidden in the product information drop-down. It was not clear and transparent advertising.
What was sent bore no resemblance to the website picture, it was not a colour variant, it was a completely different Uglies female swimming costume.
If the item was not available it should not have been advertised. Other competitors, proswimwear, wiggle etc all state whether the item is in stock. However with Swimshop you could be buying a lucky dip costume.

I am having the same problem as Charlotte - received email from swimshop to say received goods back on 10th July . now 28th - no refund. There is only an email address for customer services and I just get generic reply. I am concerned I will not get a refund and I am owed about £60 for 3 items.
Update: 12th August
After several more emails, finally contacted and asked to send copies of the cancellation notices (that they issued!) . Email back to say cheque has been requested for refund which could take up to 10 days to arrive. ! I paid by Paypal so why a cheque ? Also there were 2 separate orders that should be refunded. They appear to have dealt with one (but I haven't had cheque yet). Have now repeatedly emailed customer services about refund for second order, but (surprise!) no response.
Stop press ! Chq arrived in post 😊 so only one refund left to get back

This company ignore all communication once you have placed an ignore, they won't give you your money back if you wish to return an item either. avoid at all costs, paypal are now dealing with my case, and i've been waiting since the 7th of july 2016 for my refund it is now the 27th july 2016!

I ordered swimming gear from SwimShop.uk and it's been a week. I got fed up of waiting and finally emailed their support to get a tracking number for my order which is what i paid extra for. 2 days later, they email me an advertising to buy even more stuff from them! WHAT A JOKE!! It looks like a well-disguised scam. One thing is for sure, i am NEVER buying from SwimShop.uk again! I am extremely frustrated with their lack of communication and no tracking number provided. How do i even get a refund since they billed my credit card already??

Needed a float and swim noodle for my baby's swimming as was advised against armbands or a rubber ring at this stage. Ordered both at excellent prices yesterday at 4.50pm and they are already here and exactly what I wanted. Highly recommended!

We ordered a kneeskin for my daughter 3 weeks ago. They billed my credit card and i cannot get a response!!!!!!

Ordered everything I needed to get me back in the water, swimsuit, goggles and all the equipment I'd every want. Will definitely use Swimshop again.

I was recommended this site by my hydrotherapist and the company didn't let me down. There is plenty of choice for branded products, but also non branded essentials, perfect for daily exercise in the pool. They delivered quickly, items were well wrapped, and I will certainly recommend to others. Thanks Swimshop!

I bought 3 items from swim shop, two of them were fine, I was very disappointed with one of them, it was advertised as endurance+ but it was baggy by the second wear.

The service is prompt and the range of goods extensive. Delivery returns and exchange service is spot on. One happy customer who will return without question :-)

The website is easy to navigate and order on and delivery is always super fast.

Excellent service - my order arrived the next day. And the swimming costume is great quality, a good fit and fantastic colours.

The swimming costumes were of excellent quality at a very affordable price and arrived in time for my daughter's watersports holiday, thankfully!
