Just came back from Talbots spring 2026…
Just came back from Talbots spring 2026 "collection". What a huge disappointment. The dresses looked like something "June Cleaver" wore in the '60s. The quality was cheap and the store in general has gone sadly downhill. Not worth going into to shop anymore.
Classic reward scam
Recieved multiple twenty-five dollar style rewards with 6mo. expiration dates. Tried to use the ones with expirations closest to present and system will not allow it. Called representative and waited on hold 27 min. and never came back to explain. Called again waited another 25min and transferred me and am still waiting. This is a real scam and disservice to loyal customers. Sham on you Talbots for treating your customers like garbadge.
The Worst Customer Service
This is a review of Customer Service, not the store. Talbots used to be known for exemplary service, this is no longer the case. I never received an order. I waited 20 minutes on hold to get to a representative. When I finally spoke to someone, she said she would call me back as her computer was not working. She never returned the call.
I called back and waited for 30 minutes to get through to a person who clearly did not understand what I was trying to say. I did not receive my order and so she insisted it the address was wrong (the address was correct). She then said she'd cancel it and give me my money back. She claimed it would take 7 days to reverse the charge. The next thing I got from Talbots was an email telling me one item was cancelled...since I ordered five, I am not sure how this will all be resolved. Finally, I called the manager of the store I shop at and she very graciously agreed to look into this. I purchased everthing on a "model
s sale" with a large discount and used $75 worth of coupons. Those are now lost to me. 95 per cent of my wardrobe is from Talbots. I will have to rethink my loyalty.
The customer service agent never said she was sorry for the difficulty. She was purely transactional and in fact did not respond to what I was trying to say. She must have been a real person, an AI response would have been courteous. Caveat Emptor.
Comenity Talbots
My Comenity Talbots card expired in Dec 2025, but a new card was never sent. Comenity closed my account, unbeknownst to me. Trying to deal with the customer service people there has been an on-going 3 week nightmare.
I gave one start not because costumers…
I gave one start not because costumers services but for the company new way of honoring the rewards. How is possible that an item will cost you basically the same with the reward than without. I had a $15.00 "reward". The item after the 70% percentage off came about $30.00 after the reward should have been $15.00 but instead the cashier said $24.50. How that add up? I asked if it was a mistake and she said No unfortunately! How is possible that the difference with the reward and without is almost the same. She explained the company change how to redeem the reward so now they applied the rewards before the discount. I could have buy the item but I do not like companies playing games with hard working people money. Do not lure me with a reward so then I can not used accordingly. Most stores honor rewards as cash after all discounts. As for me to the garbage they go.
Knit Wear - Very Poor Quality
I’m new to Talbot’s but I always respected the brand. I purchased 6 items recently and of them, two went straight into the bin after one wear: Mixed Cable Shawl Collar Sweater
Item #: 58291757 / Cable Knit Quilted Vest
Item #: 58263952. The king-sized pilling was ridiculous and embarrassing Day 1. Another item is losing its shape after one wear: Half-zip Sweater - Marl Stripe Item #: 58261026. Mysteriously, the reviews were solid which is why I chanced a final sale. I truly believe Talbot’s salts their reviews and their knit wear is generally the cheapest of the cheap and not to be trusted.
this school doesnt take care of the students
this school doesnt take care of the kids, they let kids fight and they cuss, they bully and the staff are pedophiles and like kids as a example carlos sliva the music teacher touched girls in 7th grade.
A longtime customer
A longtime customer. Have always found the sales staff in Glendale Az at 59th Ave extremely helpful, as well as online experiences. My recent acquisition of black Petite Med Travel Capsule is a HUGE SUCCESS, PLEASE KEEP MAKING THIS DRESS. EXACTLY THE SAME< MORE COLORS AND MAYBE IN A MORE SUMMERY FABRIC. I WILL BUY THEM ALL!!!!
I have been a Talbots customer since 2013
I have been a Talbots customer since 2013. Never had any trouble until my last card expired, and a new card was never sent. I called customer service and a new card arrived, but I forgot to activate it. My card was declined in store, so I called the customer service number, but when I entered my Ss# the recording said that Comenity had closed my account. No further way to speak to a person.
I called Comenity, and could not speak to a person. I tried online chat, but they couldn’t help either. They referred me to the Talbots customer service line that I had already tried to use, but was unsuccessful.
Fed up, I just shredded my card. It wasn’t worth the trouble of trying to reach a company that doesn’t have employees that you can speak to directly.
CLASSY PROFESSIONAL CLOTHES WHICH ARE…
CLASSY PROFESSIONAL CLOTHES WHICH ARE WELL ABOVE OTHER STORES,
SALES PERSONNEL ARE SO CARING AND HELPFUL.
I ordered online
I ordered online , after a week, send me a wrong size! I asked for 10 Petiet, send me 12! I returned & paid again to sena a correct size, they did , this time was a huge brownish stain all over the one leg!!! I had to make a trip this time to store to return this junk!
When you call customer service, waiting at least 40 minutes, the person you are talking so dumb to answer a simple question! when I asked to talk to the supervisor, they hesitate to do so & they put you on hold another 30-40 minutes & then disconnect you! HORRIBLE experience! They get paid for what?
Somebody has to look into this disaster customer service
Bought snowflake trouser sock and when…
Bought snowflake trouser sock and when received it it was a double cotton thick sock that was more for bed . I would never wear under work pants, so I kept them anyway and wore for at home and to bed . Wore out in a months time with big holes on the outside layer . They wanted $ 16 for this crap. Quality is poor in everything !

Nick was very helpful in my situation. I was very pleased
I am done with Talbots
I am done with Talbots, after 25 years. The quality of merchandise is inferior to what it was, and customer service is, as well. Not helpful.
In the middle of winter, no wool slacks and only one wool sweater. There were no fashion scarves in the store, either.
I am done shopping at Talbots
I am done shopping at Talbots. Extremely poor customer service. I’m getting run around on a refund. The pants I bought literally shredded the first time I wore them. They refunded yet I’m getting 2 emails saying they will recharge my credit card. There’s no way to talk to a supervisor. They just put you on hold and never answer. They tell me it’s just an automated email but I’m going to have to cancel my CC because of this. They say they don’t have the capability to send a email confirming that they won’t recharge my card yet they sure have the capability to send emails constantly about buying from them yet not for customer service. REALLY???
Talbots is uping their game
I have been shopping at Talbots for 30+ years.
A few years ago, I started shopping more at Eileen Fisher, because the quality of Talbots clothes had declined. This past year, I changed back to Talbots as the styles and quality have been elevated.
I also enjoy the warmth and friendly nature of the Talbots staff at the Fishkill NY store.
you cant reach customer service
I've been a longtime customer. I've on hold for over 30 minutes trying to ask a general question. I called 2 diff numbers and they both put me on hold. I also tried to reach them by text and I'm still waiting. I Don't know whats going on over there. I hope that they're not going out of business.
I ordered a silk scarf for myself
I ordered a silk scarf for myself. The delivery I selected was standard delivery which should ideally take at the most 8 business days after shipping. I received it on the 16th business day, after lots of reminders to their customer support team. Quality of the silk scarf is OK, but the delivery delay and their almost non-responsive customer support is what they need to address.
Very bad quality on sweaters and shirts
Terrible customer service on returns and/or full money returned.
I purchased a couple of sweaters for my wife as Christmas gifts. One sweater fit the other did not. My wife took the non-fitting sweater back in to the store I purchased it from, see if there was either a replacement that would work, or get a full return of the amount I purchased it for. My wife was treated terribly for even thinking of returning it.
I went to Talbots because at one time they were a reputable store/brand. Apparently that no longer is true. My wife will not shop there anymore, and has asked me to do the same.
With the economy like it is, it appears that Talbots no longer care about their clients.
