Using TFX saves time
This is my 8th year filing my US tax returns with TFX. Filling out the tax questionnaire helps me to provide the tax preparer with the information needed to prepare my tax return. As information that doesn’t change year to year is automatically carried forward, it saves a lot of my time.

I definitely recommend this service
I recently retained Taxes for Expats to help me complete the Streamlined Procedure to catch up on my tax filing. I have found them to be respectful, helpful, and knowledgeable, and when I've had questions they have been quick to reply, usually by return email. I am not particularly literate in finances, so I had a lot of questions, which I usually sent by email. Although I was offered a phone consultation, I was never pressured to use that service. For personal reasons, I preferred email communication, and they were always helpful with that. When I was slow in getting information to them, they sent email 'nudges' but never felt pushy.
As an expat, I find the US tax filing expectations a frustrating burden, and I wish the system was different, but I'm glad to now be caught up. Taxes for Expats has been super helpful in making the process as straightforward as possible. I would certainly recommend them.

A very efficient service. Their online tax questionnaire is so thorough and guides you through all the information you need to submit. If you have any questions you then deal with a tax accountant who, in my experience, responded almost immediately.

Had my call with the CPA and was able to get all my pending questions answered professionally.

The team contacted me early next morning and provided the discovery call that I was originally hoping for. They also explained the cause for the situation and I understand that errors like these can happen. Looking forward to making the actual consultation calls!

I scheduled for a discovery call. The online form allowed me to pick a Sunday time slot (which I was a bit surprised by, but I'm also in a rush), so I did, accepted the calendar invite, verified my phone number on the website and everything. Then came Sunday and no call happened at the agreed-upon time. Funnily enough I got automated messages 1 hour before reminding me about the call, and then 20 minutes later hoping that I had a productive call, so I think I've done my due diligence in ensuring that my side at least is ready for it.
I feel like if I am given the option to pick a slot on Sunday then it should be fair to expect it to work? I was already almost settled upon the tax planning consultation service, but cannot go through with it if "appointments" don't work.

After reviewing this internally, we discovered that the scheduling tool incorrectly displayed weekend availability for an agent who only takes weekday calls. This was a configuration error on our side, and we take full responsibility for the confusion it caused.
We’ve since corrected the settings to ensure Sunday slots are no longer offered where they aren’t supported.
I completely understand how this would affect your confidence, especially when you were already considering a Tax Planning Consultation.
