First booking with this app - one minute after they were due to show up, they just cancelled it.

Literally, what is the point of the app if they pull stunts like this? Scam.

Used the app for first time on an early week day start, driver allocated 5am, pick up at 5.45. Waiting outside, good service throughout,

Tried one time off peak weekday Central london to book for now no cabs after 30 mins. Tried another time off peak weekday afternoon Central London pre-booked and they cancelled at pickup time. Both times had to try one of the other black cab apps which are just as useless. Even first ride 10% off promo code wouldn't work. Can't see these losers last long in this market. Last in first out. Back to the horrendous Uber.

Excellent service provided by taxiapp, Driver was on time and the best part is there’s no added extras, I paid the booking fee (standard) and the metered fare that’s it. I’ll definitely be using taxiapp again and deleting my other apps as they always charge me more in ridiculous fees. So taxiapp get ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me.

Nice an easy service, I was picked up directly outside the bar that I was in. I was able to track my driver to see when I should go outside to meet him and I was dropped safely to my door and even managed a nap on the way home :-)

First attempt was a prebooked pickup. That was cancelled by Taxiapp just at the time we wanted a pickup. Just as well I'd left contingency time.

Second attempt was accepted. When a cab turned up I wrongly assumed it was the one Taxiapp had sent and tried to cancel the Taxiapp booking. Wasn't 100% sure this was done and was called by the cabbie. I explained what happened and was still charged £8.

It would still be my preference to use a black cab but will avoid Taxiapp in the future.

Booked a taxi for 1830. Was never contacted by the driver. No taxi turned up at 1830. So got a taxi the old fashioned way, by getting the hotel to hail one for me.

Cancelled the trip, added a custom reason of ‘Not on time’, and got charged 8 pounds for the privilege of being dealt with by an incompetent company.

Pointless trying to claim it back, given the total failure to provide any service whatsoever, so I’m putting it down to experience.

Despite the reviews I thought I would give the app a go. I booked 24 hours in advance and received a confirmation. On the morning of my booking a driver was even assigned... but no one turned up. And the number in the app to call for suport goes straight to answerphone.

I got scammed by Taxiapp and the driver on trip from London to Heathrow. The driver presented his credit card machine for payment. He added 5 GBP for the "convenience fee." But then I get notice from my credit card co. that both the taxi driver (using a fictional co. name) AND Taxiapp had charged me. Taxiapp even added 3 GBP to the 95GBP for its fee. I have disputed the Taxiapp charge with my credit card co.

Appalling service. Booked well in advance. Confirmation received. No show. Contacted after 15 minutes. Answerphone said they’d ring back. They didn’t. Then no show again and no explanation for return trip. First and last time I will use this app. Great shame as I (used to) like and support black cabs.

This was the first time I have used the app so I was a little nervous, I have to say that the booking and pick up went smoothly. My driver was lovely and even helped me with my shopping. Thank you :-) Anne

Pre-booked a cab for 12.50pm as we were going to a wedding. 5 minutes before it was due received a message "due to unforeseen circumstances your cab has been cancelled" Absolutely appalling. I don't want to use Uber/Bolt as I've always thought black cabs were the best. To be left in the lurch at such short notice is appalling.

Used the Taxiapp for the first time yesterday September 2 2022 to attend a proms concert at Royal Albert Hall and pre booked both journeys too and from Marylebone station. As a wheelchair user travelling with my companion I like to have as much certainty as possible regarding travel arrangements. Neither pre booked journeys were confirmed before arriving in London but driver Graham messaged me to confirm he was waiting outside the station on our arrival at Marylebone and he was great in all ways taking us to the venue as speedily as possible. So I was expecting to receive a message from another driver at the end of the concert but nothing ever came. Even ten minutes of waiting outside produced no message or sign that my pre booked request was being acted upon. So to avoid any confusion or charges I cancelled the booking request and used the Uber app to arrange a taxi for our return journey. So when the taxi app works it seems to work well. But when it doesn’t you’re left in limbo and to your own devices. Fifty percent performance isn’t good for a first time user and not one likely to improve black cab driver use.

TaxiApp said no taxis available despite there being black cabs at a rank a few hundred yards away. Now trying to delete credit card details and cancel subscription without success. Am notifying bank not to accept TaxiApp as a merchant.

A wonderful idea because, in principle, it will help preserve the London black cab service. Unfortunately, it’s quite useless to the many thousands of visitors to London whose mobile phones have non-U.K. numbers. I’ve brought this problem to their attention more than once but it appears that either, 1) their coders don’t have the skill to fix the problem or, 2) they don’t have enough of a revenue stream to text non-U.K. numbers.

Booked a cab using Taxiapp to pick us up after an O2 concert on a tube strike day. Thank goodness I did! Brilliant experience all round. Taxiapp was easy to use and when I did have a query, Sarah on the Taxiapp team was very helpful and responsive. On the night, Andy, our black cab driver, was a star. Great at communicating his whereabouts beforehand and so helpful and friendly throughout. It was transport chaos at the O2 post concert with tube shut and hundreds queuing for cabs and buses. Fantastic concert and easy journey home. Andy was definitely our saviour on the night!

Used the app yesterday for the first time. I booked a cab from Docklands to Westminster an hour before I needed it, 8.30 am. It accepted the booking. Ten minutes before the due time I checked the app..... My booking had disappeared, no taxi was on the way, I was left needing a cab immediately in an unknown place for me, all because I trusted this App. My hotel recommend a mini-cab
company who arrived in 5 minutes !!!!!!! DON'T RELY ON TAXIAPP

Excellent experience with Taxiapp. I usually drive when I'm travelling out of London, but the place I was going to had no parking so I needed to pre-order a cab for me and enough room to accommodate my pussycats pram. I checked in advance because there must be some taxis which won't allow pets because of allergies. I was assured my assigned driver was fine with my kitties. I wanted a fixed fare, as seeing the meter go up on a long journey would daunt me! All arranged without issue. I hail black cabs for shorter journeys in central London. I avoid Uber and those sorts after too many pervy drivers and bad experiences. Traditional London cabbies are the best, plus they can use the bus lanes and know all the short cuts, as opposed to being jolted around in a Prius with a huffy driver. I booked a couple of weeks in advance and they got in touch beforehand, which was nice. The taxi driver called me a couple of days before too to confirm our time and pick up point and to give me his number. Everything went smoothly and I will definitely use Taxiapp again and highly recommend them. The driver was courteous and helped with my luggage and secure my cat pram. Roomy, clean and comfortable. Apologies to the driver for having to endure one of my vocal cats for the duration of the journeys! Massive thanks to Taxiapp for their superb service.

Pre booked a taxi for my 80 year old mother to go to train station . Did not arrive. Booking disappeared from the app (booking had been made two days previously and was still on the app that morning). Got an Uber instead. Should have just done that in first place.
