If you want to book with an unreliable…

If you want to book with an unreliable organization, then Tayari Safari is the right choice.
A very small example; the website still contains the Safari Round Trip "African Queen" although the boat has been out of service since October 2018.
Furthermore, Tayari Safari only uses old junk, you have to advance money and the owner Gerard Groot is so "Africanized" that he finds everything normal.
Finally; remember that you are booking with an organization that is not affiliated with anything. You have no rights whatsoever.

Don't book with Tayari Safari!

Don't book with Tayari Safari!
Although the driver was great, the car and other equipment was very old and got broken during our safari. We lost almost one day (of 4) in Serengeti and we received no excuses or compensation from Tayari at all. We are highly disappointed in the services provided by the owner of Tayari: Gerard de Groot! We would definitely not recommend Tayari.

Distrustful company, not delivering promises!

Tanzania is a beautiful country but Tayari Safari management have done their utmost best to ruin our family holiday. Didn’t deliver what was agreed upon, put us in other accommodations than promised. Game drives canceled due to faulty material. Compensation promised but never delivered.
The guide made all attempts to make things work but never received support from his own company management. Gerard Groot announces himself as an experienced Tanzania veteran but isn’t even able to manage his own personnel and recommends places to visit he has never seen himself and acts surprised if you tell him things were different than proposed by him. During our vacation he had money problems he couldn’t solve. Constantly promised good accommodations but upon arrival delivered cheap rooms instead to save him money.
Their home base, Ndege Beach Resort, promises to be recently renovated but deliveres old, worn out furniture, faulty sanitary facilities and unclean kitchen. Finally only when we took things into our own hands, things worked out better. It did cost us a large extra sum of money. Till today, despite promises, no compensation has been paid. The Dutch representative Marjolijn van der Grijn refused to act upon request, just told us to take it up with local management while they were the creators of the problem. She just didn’t respond anymore.

If you decide to book with Tayari Safari, do it at your own risk and expect nothing. If you run into trouble, you’re on your own.
